I can't stop thinking about this reddit post on soapmaking dude
I cannot express what an insane recipe that is. No one else could grasp it either
Like beeswax doesn't. It kinda just stays as beeswax in the soap. The lye has nowhere to go with it. That liquid seeping out of the soap? The brown and clear drops?? That's lye. That's straight up lye. This mf made the soap equivalent of the Chernobyl elephants foot.
The Stacktangle Blanket Crochet Pattern will turn your expectations of the well known granny stitch on their head. This pattern uses stacked increases and decreases to turn simple stripes into complex looking colorwork. It isn't much harder than a regular granny stitch afghan, we've provided photo tutorials of the unusual stitches in the pattern. This project can be made in many sizes and is well suited for crocheters who are familiar with basic stitches and are ready to take on some new skills.
Patrick T. Stewart wrote the instructions and I ( Xandy Peters) made the charts. Whichever way you prefer to get your crochet patterns, you are covered.

"How could you do this" with the help of the demon blade "this isn't you" well yeah it's me and the demon blade "I know you're a good person" yeah that wasn't in question "please come home" not if you're gonna be a dick to the demon blade "we need to destroy the demon blade" listen I don't come to family gatherings and say we Need To Destroy aunt cassie and she's genuinely evil, unlike the demon blade
Story time! a few years ago my grandma found out that my sibling is nonbinary. Sibling was nervous at first bc it was an accident, and even tho our grandma fully accepted me as a trans guy, she presumably had no idea what being nb or genderfluid meant. and to an extent the sib was right—she was totally unaware that those concepts existed when we agreed to meet for lunch that day
but. but. she brought a full on PACKET of printed research and a pen. and asked questions. she took honest to god notes.
so anyway. thank you Grammy for loving your grandkids unconditionally. the feeling is mutual 💕
I picked up crochet several years back. Out of all of the hobbies that I have cycled through over my life, crochet has stubbornly stuck around. While most of my creations tend to the practical (hats, blankets, leg warmers, bags, and more hats) the evolution of my current project has greatly surprised me. I quite a black thumb, so I never really were drawn to lush leaves and delicate blooms. Until now. I found a way to craft my own undying flowers and vines. Looking at each one as I finish my creations delights me in an entirely unexpected way! I am excited to see how this project continues forward. I am not entirely sure what the end product will just yet. Currently I am toying with making a garland of wisteria blooms and strings of hearts to adorn my bed canopy. I also have to see how my little voidling (cat) will respond to them, once fully assembled.
david lynch telling people in 2017 that you should accept trans people or kill yourself. he was so real for this.
in almost every other children's book where the main heroine is swept away to a land of whimsy she's shown having a lovely time; braving dangers occasionally, trying to find her way home, sure, but ultimately delighting in the magic around her. meanwhile alice spends her entire time in wonderland like

“I’m losing my mind”
Ok, then lose your mind.
Lose all that was previously ingrained into you and start from scratch. Start with the fundamentals, what you believe, what is important to you, what gives you purpose and drive. Build around that. Form connections to those fundamentals in your day to day life. In small or large ways, whatever comes easiest. Build a life for yourself that encompasses all that means anything to you.
Allow yourself to lose your mind. Because if you wander lost through the world without preconceived notions of what to make of it, then anything you find along your way that resonates you can learn from and use to craft a new sense of self. A new mind that knows not the boundaries of your last.
