They’re attempting to trick us into thinking it’s a love song but William “cascade ocean wave blues” Bowery and Taylor “all of my cages were mental” Swift are absolutely about to release the most depressing shit you’ve ever heard.
The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story
This is one intriguingly expository documentary exploring Lou’s character and covering his shadiness and ephebophilic perversion (abnormal sexual interest in teen boys) behind the scenes. Aaron doesn’t add to their credibility when he wasn’t a witness to his inappropriateness, which explains the effect that a charming-looking person can have on an individual to manipulate the situation (to his advantage) in getting others to think otherwise. There’s no excusing such horrendous acts of the detrimental impact they have on others.
The TMZ article that comes up shows pictures of his dead body. They do not show his face, but they do show his arms, torso, and tattoos which I find extraordinarily tasteless and disrespectful. So if you are looking for news stories to confirm that this isn't an internet hoax, avoid that one.
excuse me???????????
Holy shit
feeling grief over someone who shaped part of your childhood / teenage years ≠ excusing his actions.
you can grieve someone and still not like them or agree with their actions. a reminder that two things can be true at once.
💔
article
Do not click that TMZ article. There are pictures of the fall with zero warning and completely uncensored.
The fact that a news outlet (TMZ) decided that their need to get a scoop justified posting partial pictures of a young man's body just to demonstrate that it was his tattoos is the grossest fucking thing and I hope every single person who signed off on it regrets it every day for the rest of their lives.
Liam was dehumanised to a commodity from the age of 16 and the fact that even in death he's being treated like this is disgusting. I'm so sad and I'm so mad and I hope his family sues (if that's what they want to do).
There is no reason to share 'news' like this. It isn't journalism, it isn't in the public's interest. It's grubby and foul and to not even put a warning of the article's contents in the headline is fucking cruel.
Fuck TMZ.
begging people to not forget liam was an abuser. yes, his death is very sad, because he could've gotten help and therapy and accountability for his actions. but he still abused his ex fiancé and made her life a living hell. yes, his death is very sad and devastating but that doesn't erase the mistakes and the pain he caused in life. two things can be true at once.
