Yk why I like Tumblr so much?
Because it is the best social media.
It is unknown enough for people not to ask you abt it and is know enough to have people of all sorts and a community for anyone.
Everyone seems so nice.
There is no pressure for posting or anything, no algorithm to respond to, you only see your silly little things if you want to.
Also followers are not visible and that is amazing.
Pls add reasons if you want, but for me the ultimate reason is that I was able to make more friends here in abt a month than my 3 years on other social media.

things that made me stop wanting to die that require no effort whatsoever
change the color used to highlight text on your laptop
move the pictures on your wall
stack whatever clutter is in your room into piles even if you don’t have time to clean it all
slightly vary your commute, even just by one street
change where you sit and scroll aimlessly on your phone even if it’s only to the chair in your room instead of your bed
drink water or juice out of a wine glass in the morning because nothing is real
shower with the lights off, without music
buy $3 flowers at trader joe’s—they look bad next to the more expensive ones but they look so good in your room
start typing things you don’t post into your notes. your thoughts can be worth documenting even if you don’t deem them worth sharing
wake up super early just once. you don’t have to make it a habit it’s just extra satisfying to go to bed that night
listen to the entirety of your favorite album from 2015
live weird die mysteriously
having a tumblr blog is for those of us who could never manage to keep a diary for more than two weeks when we were twelve

You all pretend bad things are good… This is not how it is
hi,, i couldn't help but notice a slight and minor change in your behavior. do u hate me and want me to die? be honest
Oldschool lolita and 80s goth were supreme when it comes to outfits, I miss the punkish experimental vibe of these subcultures. Like it's so cookie cutter now. Way too many goths look the same (don't come for me, I've been attending goth events for over a decade and the clones are cloning. It got so much worse, tumblr isn't free of goth clones either). Lolitas basically want to crucify people who are being experimental. Not all of them obviously, I feel like it's mostly beginners, but there's a lot of that happening anyways. It's all so matchy-matchy all the time, so BORING. Like do the Fruits magazine things, just do you! It's ok to be matchy-matchy sometimes, but don't put yourself into a box. The labels are making people so repetitive. Where's the creativity???
I'm not into the whole "DIY or die" goth mindset, but the subculture became very materialistic, even though so many goths say they're anti-capitalists. So which one is it? It's completely doable to be goth without DIY, but also without cookie cutter brands like Killstar. Having some pieces is obviously fine, but gigantic hauls aren't exactly post-punk. And again it's BORING. Just either thrift or even but fast fashion in small quantities, depends if your country has cheap thrift stores. In Poland, where I'm from, it's completely normal to find a 100% wool coat with 100% natural silk lining in a thrift shop for $2, but when I went thrifting in Germany it was kinda worse in comparison to h&m, so stick to what's comfortable financially to you, just don't overdo the shopping and buy responsibly. Also Germans fix your thrift stores. It's supposed to be affordable and sustainable and you're ruining it for profit.
Recovering from SH, I will eventually be going through my page and deleting all things triggering, so still is tw:sh.
