The cruelty of the universe

Ya wanna know what's really cruel? All I wish for is the mundane parts of a relationship, ya know hand holding and cuddles. All of the tooth rotting fluff. And I have this amazing relationship with my best friend and we would be an amazing power couple- as we have spoken of before- yet the universe decides to play this truly cruel trick on us and all we feel is absolutely platonic. I feel slighted and like this is a joke.

Here is a drawing that I recently did. He is based on the pre ancient grease characterization of the god Dionysus. It's the first time I've really realistically drawn a guy, and also the first time I've drawn facial hair so that was the struggle. Also first time I have ever drawn horns that was fun.

But imagine Hades, the God of the underworld, the mighty and powerful seated on a throne of skulls handing out punishment to sinners cowering in front of his dark and fearsome aura and suddenly Persephone skips in the room, humming a bright tune, twirling in her pretty colourful dress and she skips to Hades and places a flower crown on his head and Hades is like ‘Honey, I’m trying to do my job here.’ or ‘I have an image to maintain, I’m the God of Underworld!’ and Persephone just smiled cutely at him and pecks his cheek and Hades just kinda sighs because he’s so whipped by his little sunshine but it’s just so hard.
