Things of bittersweet beauty:

Reading on rainy days
Dark academia is the aesthetic for people who:
Had a tense emo phase that matured into dark academia
Had an unhealthy Harry Potter obsession and now hates J. K. Rowling
Played games revolving around mythical creature as a child
Was able to read at an adult level at age 8 and spent their childhood reading
I'm once again fighting the urge to fake my death and move to a small city and open a little florist shop or cafe filled with books
Nowadays. there are so many subcultures and I must say I like the academics the most. We all are in one way or another smart and strive for knowledge. We appreciate languages and cultures and all the classics. We relate to each other. And somehow we all just want to sit in an armchair with a cup of tea and read our novel. And that is why I feel like this oldfashioned comunity is the best.
"Dancing in a swirl,
Of golden memories,
The loveliest lies of all,
The loveliest, lies of all."
you know what we need? more young desi girl content
rebel girls in high school sneaking around corridors, skipping class instead going to waste time in the library. giggling in the dark corners as they dramatically recite the assigned text to each other, trying to make it more fun. making funny faces, communicating with each other with just a single look, gossiping in the classrooms and being terribly dramatic. acting out classic bollywood scenes during recess, trying to be serious but falling into fits of laughter as they sing songs off key. girls braiding each other's hair in the courtyard, trying out different styles that won't get them dress coded and in trouble. learning how to weave ribbons in and out of hair, becoming a master of the small piece of silk. teaching each other about herbal tricks and tips they stole from their grandmother. girls stopping to buy some ice cream on their way home from school, licking it all up before it melts as they walk hand in hand back home, legs and back aching from the weight of their school bags.
