Iv been told many times in my life that I am kind. But honestly, I feel a lot of the time like it's just a comfortable mask. I feel ugliness in me - I'm mad, petty, jealous, bitter, angry, and hateful. I sometimes feel like kindness is a comfortable crutch, I hope to have it support me, so I act it out as best I can. But there's something about seeing this kid that reminds me that nothing has to be defined in terms of acts or facades. I don't "have" to wear a mask of compassion to hide these "ugly" emotions. I can have both. I can be angry and compassionate, jealous and patient, hateful and kind. Emotions are messy and I'm honored to have been received by others as kind; I'm forever grateful to have been reached by them in turn. Thank you Mob Psycho!
