Results: Same as before: One crossed off, three WIPs. Not quite proud of myself on that. Fuck, now I'm being hard on myself, again. While I still believe that the results could've been handled a little better with enough focus, I do need to stop being so harsh on myself. But I do need to give myself tough love and constructive criticism when needed. Note to self: add less plans to week plans so that I don't have too many plans to avoid biting off more than I can chew and I can manage the amount I can. Also, another note to self: any additional plans not originally on the list will be added as "additional plans" in progress reblog, likely to be renamed as progress report.

I decided to do this after my last weekend plans didn't go too well, as I've only managed to two of the things of my weekend plans list 2/24 - 2/26. Those two being watching @rainbott's Spellmania series on their YouTube channel and watching Mindy Kaling's Velma on watchcartoononline.tv while also writing down ideas for my Velma rewrite on Google Docs. Plus, it felt like an episode in a show where there's too much crammed into a single or few episodes. So, I decided to do these plans I didn't get to do this week, at least hopefully, that is. If not, then next week it is.

Also, today's my 19th birthday!!! Happy Birthday to Me!!! :) ^^

Where did you get the idea, headcanon, or fact (whichever one it may be) that demons age differently than humans?

I ask bc in a gb asks I asked you from January 12th, 2023, on your alt account @juniaships about the story of the arranged marriage between Alya Moonstone/Purple Lightspeed Ranger and Prince Olympius, you said this at the end of the post:

"Anyways, it's a pretty messy human x monster story and before anyone asks, demons age differently and don't perceive age in a human sense. So Olympius is actually MUCH older than Alya's 20 (and he had the mind& design of an adult at full strength so it's not p3d0)"

And I was curious as to whether that was true or not. I also ask bc I don't wanna come off as a p3d0 supporter (as I extremely hate p3d0 stuff and p3d0s in general with a burning passion) by shipping myself & my self-inserts, my PR OC Luna Gwen, and other canon characters and ocs/self-inserts with him. So, I thought to ask you for some clarification. That, and also bc I couldn't find a direct and clear answer from Google and most of them involved stuff from Demon Slayer.

Olympus is 17 in human years according to the wiki 💀 i thought he'd be older like 20ish. Though it is a wikia so it might not be correct. Hmmm...

You know in Atlantis the lost empire where Kida is way older than Milo? That's basically how it works in this AU. Olympius was born centuries ago but due to Bansheera's banishment he was stuck. Until his and Alya's Star Power activated he grew up to the age he actually should be. Unlike Justin from Turbo, Full Power Olympius is very much viewed as a young adult & doesn't express childlike behavior or immaturity save for his occasional naivety. So because of that I'll be aging Alya down by 2 or 3 years. I know 20 and 17 aren't huge gaps but just to be on the safe side her new age is 18.

Fanfiction Authors: HEADS UP

(Non-authors, please RB to signal boost to your author friends!)

An astute reader informed me this morning that one of my fics (Children of the Future Age) had been pirated and was being sold as a novel on Amazon:

(And they weren't even creative with their cover design. If you're going to pirate something that I spent a full year of my life writing, at least give me a pretty screenshot to brag about later. Seriously.)

I promptly filed a DMCA complaint to have it removed, but I checked out the company that put it up -- Plush Books -- and it looks like A LOT of their books are pirated fic. They are by no means the only ones doing this, either -- the fact that """publishers""" can download stories from AO3 in ebook format and then reupload them to Amazon in just a few clicks makes fic piracy a common problem. There are a whole host of reasons why letting this continue is bad -- including actual legal risk to fanfiction archives -- but basically:

IF YOU ARE A FANFIC AUTHOR WITH LONG AND/OR POPULAR WORKS, PLEASE CHECK AMAZON TO SEE IF YOUR STORIES HAVE BEEN PIRATED.

You can search for your fics by title, or by text from the description (which is often just copied wholesale from AO3 as well). If you find that someone has stolen your work and is selling it as their own, you can lodge a DMCA complaint (Amazon.com/USA site; other countries have different systems). If you haven't done this before, it's easy! Here's a tutorial:

HOW TO FILE A COPYRIGHT COMPLAINT FOR STOLEN WORK ON AMAZON.COM:

First, go to this form. You'll need to be signed into your Amazon account.

Select the radio buttons/dropdown options (shown below) to indicate that you are the legal Rights Owner, you have a copyright concern, and it is about a pirated product.

Enter the name of your story in the Name of Brand field.

In the Link to the Copyrighted Work box, enter a link to the story on AO3 or whatever site your work is posted on.

In the Additional Information box, explain that you are the author of the work and it is being sold without your permission. That's all you really need. If you want, you can include additional information that might be helpful in establishing the validity of your claim, but you don't have to go into great detail. You can simply write something like this:

I am the author of this work, which is being sold by [publisher] without my permission. I originally published this story in [date/year] on [name of site], and have provided a link to the original above. On request, I can provide documentation proving that I am the owner of the account that originally posted this story.

In the ASIN/ISBN-10 field, copy and paste the ID number from the pirated copy's URL. You'll find this ten-digit number in the Amazon URL after the word "product," as in the screenshot below. (If the URL extends beyond this number, you can ignore everything from the question mark on.) Once this number has been added, Amazon will pull the product information automatically and add it to the complaint form, so you can check the listing title and make sure it's correct.

Finally, add your contact information to the relevant fields, check the "I have read and accept the statements" box, and then click Submit. You should receive an email confirmation that Amazon has received the form.

Please share this information with your writer friends, keep an eye out for/report pirated works, and help us keep fanfiction free and legally protected!

NOTE: All of the above also applies to Amazon products featuring stolen artwork, etc., so fan artists should check too!

OC-cember Day 5: OC What If (OC Series)

OC What If is a series where I talk about what I think it would be like if my OCs were canon characters in the media I like (whether it be a show or a movie). This is an idea I've had for a long time (since my original Digimon Fusion OCs and Power Rangers OCs) and one I would love to share with the world.

Think of Marvel's What If...?, but's stories with OCs instead of already existing characters. Not to mention I've had this idea in my head before the series came out, like since I was in middle school and Marvel's What If...? didn't release until 2021. I plan on making this a series on my future YouTube channel (I say 'future' because I don't have one yet at the time of this post) and trust me when I say, I've got plenty of ideas for OCs I'd love to do an OC What If on, including some examples like:

My Power Rangers OCs

My Pokémon OCs

My Legend of Vox Machina OC

My Legendary Voltron OC

My Ben 10 OCs

And many more. As for what each episode will be like, here's some bulllet points that give you a good idea:

Intro -> Showcasing the media and OC featured in the episode -> giving spoiler warnings (since I'm imagining myself as a writer in the media itself my OC is from and I'm writing my OC(s) role...)

JUSTICE FOR JAAHNAVI KANDULA

23 year old Jaahnavi Kadula was hit and killed on January 23, 2023. She was hit and killed bye police officer Dave Auderer, who happened to be the VICE PRESIDENT OF HIS UNION according to NBC News. Body cam footage has been released of the man joking about her death and saying she had “limited value” because she was young and was laughing throughout the footage. Laughed when he said to “just write a check for $11,000.” It’s disgusting how we are just barely finding out about the death of an incredibly smart woman who was taken too soon, and was treated so horribly after being brutally killed. How are we supposed to feel safe with the dangers of the world going on when our own police officers are so disgusting? How are we supposed to live our lives when we aren’t safe from our own “protectors”? I pray the family of Jaahnavi Kadula finds peace and that both Jaahnavi and her family get the justice they deserve.

Update #1: My First Tumblr Update

Hey guys. It's been a while since I made my first post here, so I thought I'd give you guys an update on what's going on.

To start things off, I was a bit busy with college, plus I was also on Twitter more, hence the reason I didn't post too much in September, nor did I post anything in October. And while I did have thoughts of posting on Tumblr here and there, I never really got the chance due to college and using Twitter more than Tumblr. But since I feel like I want to have a place to escape when I feel overwhelmed by college, I feel like I should use Tumblr. And while yes, I do have the option to use Twitter, I feel like using Tumblr to escape better than Twitter. Not that I dislike Twitter or anything like that (despite some grips I have with the platform), I just feel like using Tumblr as that Escapism (as a nod to Rebecca Sugar's song "Escapism", not to be confused with the Steven Universe Season 5 episode of the same name) to escape to whenever I feel stressed or overwhelmed by reality. That, or I just wanna go on here for fun, since I love to go on social media. Whether it be for fun or to escape reality.

Aside from wanting to use Tumblr more often, I also want to showcase my work here. I want to share my artwork (including my OCs, fandom and non-fandom related) and my stories with everyone on Tumblr (and yes, I am aware of how vicious people on Tumblr can be, especially with the unnecessary harassment and death threats targeted towards people having fun with their work, especially artists and writers in particular; but tbh, I...honestly don't give a shit about that. And by that, I mean that I don't care how much harassment and death threats I get sent my way. Because I know that they're being sent by a bunch of sad assholes who love to tear people down because deep down, they're secretly miserable jerkasses who have nothing better to do with their lives other than make people feel bad (either about themselves, their work, or both) in order to make them feel better about themselves).

I know the stuff I mentioned were all OC-related, but tbh, I couldn't think of anything else (and even if I had that thing in my head I wanted to write for this post, I couldn't write it down for some reason). So that's why they're all OC-related. I know it might not be the best answer, but hey, whatcha gonna do bout' it?

With all that said, I hope to post here more often, or every now and then. If I don't, then I'll either like posts and/or reblog stuff. And if I don't either post something or like & reblog stuff, then that means I'm either, busy, lazy, doing something else (like drawing and/or writing) or using Twitter.
