You know, it is a TRIP going through all my old fanfics and realizing that yeah, they were self-insert damsel-in-distress hell, but they also reflected pretty heavily on my mental state at the time. I just really wanted someone to care about me, and maybe I showed that by constantly putting myself my OC in danger and having my favorite fictional people worry about me my OC
