Had to draw Lucien again 🥹
Somehow they made it more heartbreaking than the game. Bella Ramsey we will get you that Emmy!!
I often think about this exchange, especially the last shot where Levi is looking out of the corner of his eye. Like he’s making EXTRA sure that Hange isn’t upset with him, but he’s trying to be chill about it.

It’s the question you didn’t want to ask.Â
“Will you make it back to me?” you murmur, your chin leaning on his shoulder. A question engineered with the perfect mixture of anxiety of the impending battle and the lateness of the night. You had barely gotten used to the warmth of his body gracing your bed, his long and thick limbs thrown haphazardly over your body, but you couldn’t imagine your sheets growing cold with his absence.Â
“A guy gets locked up in a box for a few days, and your wife loses all faith in you, hm?” Satoru noses at the nape of your neck, “I’ll always make it back you, baby — it’s you and me,”Â
“Toru,” you can’t bear to face him, your eyes squeezing shut and willing the tears burning at your eyelids to leave — but you can’t even manage that much, “this is serious, it isn’t hypothetical anymore — you could, you could—” your voice breaks off.Â
You always thought you’d be the one to go first. You were a grade 1 sorcerer — but what is a soldier compared to a god? The god that wielded unimaginable power, the god that caused the balance of the world to shift, the god who was meant to save the world — but more than that, he was your husband — the one who made you laugh without fail, the one who had been your best friend from day one, and the one who made you feel safe by just being him, Satoru Gojo, not the strongest, just your husband.Â
And the mirth leaves his voice, as he forces you to face him, his irises made of skies you couldn’t even imagine never seeing again — “If I don’t make it back, you know I’ll always be waiting for you, in the afterlife or the next one,” he kisses your lips softly, “but I will do everything I can to make it back, sweetheart — and that’s a promise I can make,” and his hand slides up to your stomach, “and if I don’t, at least I left you with the perfect parting gift,”Â
“Don’t,” and tears slip down your face, “I can’t do this without you,”Â
You wanted a family, but not a family without him, without him — what was the point? Was there even one if he wasn’t there to raise your child with you?
“Baby, there isn’t a thing you can’t do without me,” he chuckles quietly, “you’d lift the moon with your back and hang the stars for our child without a second thought — because you did the same for me,” his lips are ghosting over every inch of your face, “you saved me, the me that was me,” and his lips find yours, sliding over them, and you taste the cherry candy he was eating earlier, “and the me that loves you is here right now, so let’s focus on that,”Â
“Satoru Gojo, if you don’t make it back to me, I’m going to kick your ass,” and he laughs, your favorite sound in the absolute world, before he kisses you again, his hands cupping your face so gently — and you remembered the first time he did that, you wondered how someone so strong could be so gentle.Â
“Somehow, I’m more scared of that than the King of Curses” he teases, a wide grin on his lips, before rolling you over so he is on top of you, his thumb wiping away the evidence of your tears, “thank you,” he kisses your forehead.Â
“For what?” you smile up at your beautiful, goofy husband, and he only cups your chin, as he leans down to kiss you, his fingers ghosting over your stomach again.Â
“For everything.”Â
why are we not headcanoning dilf gojo. i want gojo with big hairy arms and rough fingers and a little bit of tummy after he retires from being a full-time sorcerer. i want gojo with two days worth of stubble and tired eyes because of all the children running circles around him. gojo who is TIRED of stuffing you full of his babies, and definitely doesn’t want any more, but still asks you if you want another for fun every time you have sex. dilf gojo, who raises an eyebrow and complains when he over hears your eldest daughters friend call him a dilf. it definitely boosts his ego, though. he’s still got it, even when he’s fourty five, of course. dilf gojo who has a hairy chest and wears aviator sunglasses. dilf gojo who pays for a whole hotel room for the night just so you don’t wake your kids up when he makes you moan
no thoughts, just dilf gojo. fifty year old gojo. gojo with a dad stanley whos still muscular but more like a big teddy bear. gojo who lets his children take .5s of him and thinks theyre hilarious. gojo who decides maybe, even though hes done fighting curses, hes pretty damn happy with his wife and his kids and his hawaiian shirts.
Do you ever write a sentence and then realize “Nah, that’s too self aware for you” and backspace a bunch of times.

You are the only one of my followees that I set alarm on new posts.
Anywhoo I’m certain that you’ll have 1000+ asks same as mine, but here goes: I was hoping to see your thoughts on J’s performances on the finale.
Top grade acting. This was one of Jensen’s best performances. He’s always his strongest when it’s about Dean and Sam’s angst. Â
The shock of the traumatic wound kept most of the pain at bay, similarly when Sam was stabbed in the back in season 2 and Sam barely had time to feel the pain before dying. Dean could feel his life draining away and took several shallow breaths to draw more oxygen in to keep himself going because he wants to spend the last few remaining minutes with Sam and make sure his baby brother will be strong enough to move on. Because as the dad/big brother, he needs to make sure his family will be okay. Â
Jensen kept his voice low, even, and soothing because 1) Dean needs to keep calm to keep Sam from losing it completely, and 2) Dean needs to save his strength to focus completely on Sam and Jensen performed masterfully by eschewing most of his acting tics except for his expressive eyes and nuanced facial expression.  Gone is Dean’s bravado, Jensen distilled Dean down to his core and we saw his vulnerablity when he begged Sam to tell him it’s going to be okay, his faith in Sam’s strength, and his last breath. He can finally rest and be at peace.
Sam mourning Dean’s passing is different from Dean’s previous violent deaths that were brought on by scheming angels and demons. This time it was the same kind of deaths that fells most hunters, so gone are the desperation and rage and helplessness and replaced by quiet grief and sarrow. Jared played Sam’s grief as a person with a hole in his heart, his movements slower and his voice barely audible because he’s living with half-functioning organs as he tries to remember Dean’s earlier lesson:
Sam honored Dean by living his life and we see him smile for the first time when he held his son, Dean II, in his arms. This is the Sam we are used to seeing and we see it again when he plays baseball with his son and again when he tutors his son and looking proud, his son soaking in Sam’s pride and joy. We see the quiet grief again and when a much older Sam sits in the Impala driver seat, grasp the steering wheel and feels Dean’s promise that he will always be with Sam. Now a geriatric, Sam quietly dies with his son by his side watching over him. He leaves with some reluctance because he doesn’t want to leave his son but he knows it is the right time. Through these scenes Sam never spoke but we know everything he is feeling. After 15 seasons we know Sam so well in part thanks to consistent writing and Jared has always been very good at conveying Sam’s emotions without using words and the montage of Sam’s post-Dean life took full advantage of it.
