prompt 2, #13 FLUFF! Cuddling for comfort (platonic!)

Alastor was not a people person.

He didn’t like people touching him,  though he often invaded other’s space.

However, the terrifying Overlord didn’t mind when you invaded his space and touched him.

You were one of the few people who the red deer considered a friend.

Only you could get away with being so close to him.

The two of you were in the hotel lobby, enjoying the peace of the afternoon. You were leaning your head against his shoulder as you listened to music, slowly nodding off. Alastor continued to read his newspaper as he felt you shift and snuggle against him.

Looking at you from the corner of his eye, to find you had shuffled completely onto the couch and shifted your entire weight against him.

He smiled and adjusted himself so you wont hurt your neck and continued to read his paper.

roomie!satoru does not know what personal space is btw . he's all splayed out on your bed while scrolling on tiktok while you're gaming, he's glued to your side whenever you go grocery shopping together (definitely hooks his arm around yours btw)(you two look like a couple like that)(he does it on purpose). aaand when you're watching a movie with him, he's either got his head on your lap, begging for you to play with his hair ooorr he's got an arm around your shoulders. he might even walk into the bathroom while you're showering just bc he needed smth from there and he literally does not even do it to be like a perv or anything, it just seems like a very normal thing to him lmao anyway this is just how he shows you that you mean a lot to him okay please let him do it he will be very sad if you shoo him away:(((((((

the reason why jj's death hurts so much is not just because he's my fav character or that my fav ship, jiara, is suddenly no longer endgame, it is because jj is the heart of the show, he is fundamentally what the pogues are, more than any member of the entire team and he's the main instigator for most plot points.

without him, the show loses a vital piece of the tone and the emotional core of the second half of obx.

firstly, the first three seasons centers around john b, and even though they're trying to keep the momentum, it's not that compelling anymore bc his arc/ motivations for joining the treasure hunt to find his dad, wrapped up when his dad died.

the next seasons were supposed to be jj's seasons and his search for his identity/ grappling with his pogue & kook identity, finding inner peace (which he rightfully deserved). killing him off basically throws this central theme out the window, the entire point of the second half of obx, which is just another layer of why this is so upsetting. his character arc felt so unfinished and underdeveloped.

i also don't buy that this was the plan all along, even if it was originally a 4 season show. bc if it was, why did they keep adding scenes between him and kie saying they're going to run away to a far away island when all of this over? why add all that island stuff/ losing their home? why add that he's a genrette/ jeanrette (idk what the proper spelling of this name is)? why add all this unnecessary info tying jj to the plot/ giving him plot relevance if they were just going to kill him off without tying any of these plot points off (while he was alive, oof this hurts to type) and creating more plot holes that can't be resolved without him?

his death is super conflicting bc there's little to no resolution to his arc, imo.

with that said, i keep seeing a lot of hate online towards the actors/ producers/ whoever worked on the show and just a reminder that this is not a hate post. i will not tolerate any hate comments about anyone working on the show, including the writers. but i am upset with how they handled his character and the plot of s4 in general and wished they went with something else other than killing jj off.

my headcanon: jj runs away into hiding, kiara joins him at the end of the series finale and they finally go on their surfing trip together. even if it's a mention and we never see him again, it would've been better than what we got.

Gojo Satoru’s desire to be seen as a human is so important to his character and just so… fascinating to relate to from an autistic point of view. Like, I’ve spent so much of my life feeling as alien and outside of humanity— begging people to see the human in me— and then there’s this character who is larger than life; treated as a weapon; has almost no close friends; is arrogant, goofy, wants to help the people around him; and is shunned by most because he’s annoying and overbearing— but they will always resort to him for his strengths. Of course I’m going to relate to him to an extent (but god I wish I had infinity sometimes)

utahime needs you to work more on mental balance, and understanding of your mind. mahito wants you to take long breaks after training, and take a nice long bubble bath. getou thinks you have potential, and to work on being more selfish with your time. do things for yourself, not everyone else; but mai wants you to be nice to others when it counts, so you don’t lose people you’re close to. noritoshi wants you to become more in tune with your senses. todou wants you to eat more, and stop skipping meals. toji wants you to stop being so serious, and growing up too quickly. enjoy your youth while you have it. choso wants you to take a nap, and sleep in. mei mei wants you to do a skin care routine, and hair masks. it’s been a long day, take care of yourself.
