the thing about haikyuu is it’s a love story. but it’s everybody’s love story. it’s asahi saying, “when have my friends ever been a burden,” and kageyama saying, “with me you’re invincible,” and the neighborhood association laughing about him saying that and then putting hours and hours into teaching and supporting these kids who love the same sport they do, and it’s kenma saying, “thank you for getting me into volleyball,” and it’s hinata screaming with joy because his friend is having fun, and it’s tsukishima learning to give his all to something even if there’s more risk in actually caring, and it’s in kageyama and hinata counting and counting and counting their victories and defeats, and it’s in kita telling his team he’s proud of them, and it’s in kageyama saying he wished he could have gone further with this team, and it’s in shimizu stumbling through a simple good luck speech, and it’s in coach ukai reminding his kids to eat well, and it’s in. everything. i could pull a hundred more love stories from these characters but it’s just. it’s in everything.
autumn is akaashi's favorite season. the summer heat ebbs away into a pleasant chill, the crisp air foreshadowing colder months ahead. despite this, he's always liked the warmth in the trees as amber hues provide a stark contrast against the ashen sky. but most of all, he looks forward to seeing your face light up as he hands you your favorite hot drink.
"you didn't have to," you utter, yet the way your eyes sparkle says otherwise.
"but i wanted to," he replies swiftly.
he watches you raise the cup to your lips and take a tentative sip, warmth spreading from the top of his head to his toes when you hum contendedly. akaashi's smile is hidden behind his scarf, but the crinkle of his eyes betrays him.
your lips quirk upwards when you notice his subdued giddiness. "thank you, keiji."
the crunch of dry leaves accompanies the sound of your voice. akaashi thinks he quite enjoys this—spending autumn evenings wandering aimlessly while listening to you talk about your day. when the wind picks up, he interlaces his fingers with yours and slips his other hand into his coat pocket, feeling the extra pair of mittens that he keeps for you.
and just as the leaves fall every year without fail, akaashi falls for you time and time again.

SOOBIN :: 2024 WEVERSE MAGAZINE THE STAR CHAPTER: SANCTUARY
Stellarium Dress
My original plan was to paint a planetarium dress with the Solar System as the main focus, but I got so carried away with making the dress go woooosh that the composition no longer works for a Solar System lol. I'm still happy with how this one turned out, and I still get to paint the actual planetarium dress later ahahaha The full hours long video recording, HD image, and PSD file will be DMed on my Patreon on March 3rd
the instant kuroo falls in love, it's so over for him...
the realization hits him on a random wednesday evening. it's such a mundane moment, too, as he sits next to you on the train traveling back to the apartment complex you both live in.
when you laugh at one of his stupid jokes, kuroo's heart skips a beat. truth be told, he doesn't believe what he said was particularly funny but who cares? all he can think about was wanting to hear your sounds of mirth every day. even with the bustle of the evening train, kuroo only focuses on you. on the crinkles in the corners of your eyes. on the sunset glow cast on your face. on the joyous expression adorning your features. foolishly, he wonders how he had been so clueless to his feelings all this time.
the silence is uncharacteristic of him, and it doesn't go unnoticed by you. wanting to turn the tables on the typically silver-tongued man, you decide to tease him a bit.
"cat got your tongue? have my striking good looks and charming personality finally won you over?"
kuroo bites the inside of his cheek, heartbeat thudding dangerously loud against his chest. have you figured him out so quickly?
"maybe," he replies ambiguously, but if you look closer, you can see a slight red tint to his features.
now, it's your turn to feel the heat rise to your face. "what?"
"don't worry about it," he answers a bit too quickly and pivots the conversation to something about innovative marketing tactics to get the youth more interested in volleyball. which you're hardly listening to after his sudden half confession.
little do you know, kuroo is also barely paying attention to the words coming out of his own mouth as he tries to talk his heart rate down. but it's proving to be difficult when you keep glancing at him with those eyes that he's so weak to.
he gulps. this is going to be hard.
