need a cute boy to sacrifice to a primordial death goddess in exchange for terrible ancient curse powers
“To confront a person with his shadow is to show him his own light. Once one has experienced a few times what it is like to stand judgingly between the opposites, one begins to understand what is meant by the self. Anyone who perceives his shadow and his light simultaneously sees himself from two sides and thus gets in the middle.”

I just planted several marigolds to use as pest control and to eat so here's some witchy info about them!
They're associated with the sun and bring a warm, happy energy to workings
Commonly used in protection spells due to the fact that they work well as natural pest control
Historical uses of these flowers include celebrations for the dead, and due to this, they are also associated with despair in love and missing a loved one
The tagetes genus has strong cultural ties to Aztecs and are still used in dia de los muertos celebrations
They also have an uplifting and relaxing energy associated with them making them amazing for tea magic

Prepare for the blooming season and make sure you take those allergy meds - it’s time for the Pink Moon!
Named for the appearance of spring flowers, in particular the early springtide ground phlox (also known as moss pinks), the Pink Moon often coincides with the first bloom of the season, with trees and fields in flower and a profusion of color returning to the world after the long bleak greyness of winter. Despite the name, the moon itself does not turn pink to match.
This year, the Pink Moon is a micromoon, occurring when the moon is approaching it's apogee, the farthest point in its' orbit from the Earth. The moon may appear slightly smaller or dimmer because of this when it reaches peak illumination at 8:22pm EST this Saturday.
North American indigenous names for this moon include Breaking Ice Moon (Algonquin), Budding Moon of Plants and Shrubs (Tlingit), Moon When The Ducks Come Back (Lakota), Planting Moon (Tunica), and Frog Moon (Cree). Alternate European names for the Pink Moon include Egg Moon and Budding Moon, and some modern pagan traditions call it the Awakening Moon.
The April full moon is also sometimes known as the Paschal Full Moon, being the first full moon after the spring equinox. The Christian Easter holiday, which has a floating date, occurs on the first Sunday after the Paschal Moon.
Farmer’s Proverb: A full Moon in April brings frost. If the full Moon rises pale, expect rain.
The Pink Moon is a time for reconnecting with yourself and the world around you. The world is giving a good yawn and stretch after a long winter’s sleep and so can we! Get outside if you can and get some fresh air. Explore your area, especially if there’s something or someplace new you’ve been meaning to try. Revisit old haunts and discover what’s changed since the last time you were out and about.
Take a moment to assess your current goals and mark your progress. Celebrate your growth and learn from your setbacks. Assess your boundaries as well. Are you making enough time for yourself? Are you letting things or tasks or people intrude where they shouldn’t? Is there anywhere that you should be standing firm but aren’t?
Balance dedication to your work with playtime and relaxation. Remember that you are not required to set yourself on fire to keep others warm. Take time to care for your own needs and address those “I’m Sure It’s Nothing” health concerns you’ve been putting off.
By the time the Pink Moon comes around, there’s either one more cold spell working its’ way through or the first true warmth of spring beginning to appear. If the temperatures are rising to sunny pleasantry in your area, it’s the perfect time to start planting your garden.
Whether you have a few pots on a patio or a fully-planned plot or just some well-beloved houseplants, get your fingers into the dirt and transfer those seeds and sprouts to a nice fertile home. You can work various kinds of magic as you do, for growth, fertility, prosperity, tenacity, resilience, protection, whatever seems needful. (This can also be done separate from planting if you're not growing a garden.) If you grow your own plants for your magical practice, you can also bless them for their intended purposes.
If you don’t garden (and not all of us do) but still want to work some plant magic, you can grab your field guide and pruning scissors and go foraging. You can pair last month's Dig Through The Ditches exercise with some foraging and harvesting of the wild weeds growing in your area.
(This month's episode of Hex Positive addresses this exact topic!)
For a fun and easy full-moon spell, set out some gallon jugs of potable water to make Pink Moon Water. This will be excellent for watering your garden…and yourself! (Rainwater isn’t safe to drink these days, and water collected from wild sources is dicey even if you boil it, but drinking water works just fine.) You can also cast spells for creativity, change, fertility, happiness, adaptability, and growth. Use whatever methods resonate with you and remember that the most important component of any spell is the witch who casts it.
The earth is blooming, so let’s bloom with it!

PINK FULL MOON 🌕
This Pink Full Moon is bringing that gentle but powerful shift — the kind that whispers rebirth, release, and rise.
Here’s your lunar checklist:
• Burn away the old with some spring cleaning (physically and energetically)
• Bring pink flowers into your space to call in sweetness and softness
• Reflect: What in your life needs balance?
• Ask yourself: What’s ready to transform and soar?
• Journal, set intentions, and connect with your higher self
Let this moonlight be your graduation moment into something brighter, better, and beautifully you.
Lately, it feels like I’m walking through a fog—one that settles in my bones the second I step into work. I’m usually bright. Thoughtful. A little intense. A little weird. The kind of girl who sees too much, feels too much. A Virgo to the core—structured but soft, always trying to make sense of everything. I dream of harmony, of people who treat each other with care. I crave a kind of calm that lets me breathe.
But at work, I feel like shit.
It’s not the job—it’s the atmosphere. I clean. It should be simple, even peaceful. But the energy is heavy. Tense. Paranoid. I feel watched, like every step is judged. Like my silence speaks louder than it should. I thought this place would understand—that I’m in school, that I have a family, that I’m doing my best. But no. When I ask for a day off, I’m treated like I’ve done something wrong. Like my life outside of work is an inconvenience to them.
And I hate who I am there.
I shrink. I doubt myself. I flinch at simple questions like “how are you?” I’m too emotional, too soft, too scared of saying the wrong thing. My voice gets caught in my throat, and I become someone I don’t even recognize—someone who watches from the sidelines, instead of standing up.
But that’s not who I want to be.
I want to be clever. I want to be bold. I want to be the girl who raises her head, lifts her sword, and walks into battle like a storm they never saw coming. I want to be brave enough not to care who hates me. I want to stop trying to make everyone comfortable. I want to stop apologizing for being alive, for taking up space, for needing time, for having a voice.
I want to stand on my own two feet and not shake. I want to look people in the eye and not flinch. I want the strength to let people’s opinions bounce off me like arrows off armor. I want to weld my sword up high—my voice, my truth, my presence—and see them coward at the sight of someone who knows who they are.
I want to be the kind of woman doubt doesn’t dare to approach.
But how do I become her?
Right now, I hide in my mind to survive. I drift. I dream. While I clean, I disappear into other worlds—places where I matter, where I fight dragons and win. Places where my softness is power, not weakness. I imagine sunlight through trees, pages turning, hands that build, voices that lift. I lose myself in stories, music, moments that keep me afloat when reality makes me feel like I’m drowning.
Because the stress here—it's thick, like smoke. It taints people. It steals kindness. And I feel it trying to steal me.
But I won’t let it.
Somewhere in me, I know she exists—the girl with the sword. The girl who doesn’t beg to be heard—she commands it. The girl who isn’t afraid to be seen, even if being seen means being misunderstood. I want to become her. I will become her.
This place may try to bury me, but I’m not soil. I am fire. I am wind. I am something they cannot contain.
via
I find myself drowning.
In moments of productiveness
In that still moment of reserve
I boil.
I fester.
I cry.
See me. See me. See me.
But I'm too afraid to be seen.
So I drown.
Lost in the embrace
The thought,
The feeling,
The adventure.
Why must reality be so dumb?

Trickster Spirits
Trickster spirits are a fascinating and complex aspect of mythology, folklore, and magick. They are beings that challenge, deceive, teach, and disrupt, often blurring the line between chaos and wisdom. Tricksters can be helpful guides, mischievous troublemakers, or unpredictable forces, depending on how they are approached and the lessons they seek to impart.
Trickster spirits are supernatural or mythological entities that thrive on bending or breaking societal norms, defying expectations, and revealing hidden truths. They are neither wholly good nor wholly bad; instead, they embody duality, paradox, and transformation.
Tricksters often use humor, riddles, deception, and unpredictability to challenge individuals and force them to think in new ways. They are catalysts for change, pushing people out of their comfort zones—whether they like it or not.
Characteristics:
• Masters of Deception – They manipulate illusions, words, and perception.
• Agents of Chaos & Change – They disrupt order but often lead to growth.
• Boundary Crossers – They exist between realms, roles, and identities.
• Amoral & Unpredictable – They operate outside human moral frameworks.
• Bearers of Hidden Wisdom – They reveal truths in unexpected ways.
• Shape-shifters – They can take different forms, often appearing as animals, humans, or spirits.
Norse – Loki: Loki is the quintessential Norse trickster, a shape-shifting god of mischief, deception, and transformation. Though often causing trouble, his actions also lead to necessary change and evolution in the Norse cosmos.
Native American – Coyote & Raven: Coyote is a wily, unpredictable figure who teaches lessons through his foolishness and cleverness alike. Raven, often a creator trickster, is known for stealing the sun and bringing light to the world.
Voodou - Papa Legba: Papa Legba embodies wisdom, wit, and unpredictability. He can test people’s patience, humility, or sincerity, sometimes presenting obstacles to teach important lessons. He challenges assumptions and disrupts rigid structures, forcing individuals to adapt and grow. Despite his trickster nature, he is generally seen as a benevolent and wise guide, helping those who show him respect.
African & Caribbean – Anansi: Anansi the Spider is a West African trickster who uses his wit and intelligence to outsmart stronger foes. He is both a cunning problem-solver and a mischievous troublemaker.
Greek – Hermes: Hermes, the messenger god, is also a trickster who steals, deceives, and breaks boundaries. He is associated with commerce, travel, and magic, making him a liminal figure between worlds.
Hoodoo – Br’er Rabbit: A figure from African American folklore, Br’er Rabbit is a clever trickster who outwits stronger enemies through cunning rather than strength.
Japanese - Kitsune: A Kitsune is a fox spirit known for its intelligence, shape-shifting abilities, and trickster nature. They can transform into human form, often appearing as beautiful women, monks, or ordinary travelers to deceive or test humans.
Celtic – Puck & The Fae: Puck (or Robin Goodfellow) is a playful trickster spirit of English folklore, often linked to the mischievous fae. The Fae themselves can be unpredictable and trick humans into bargains or illusions.
Islamic - Djinn: In folklore and legends, some djinn exhibit trickster-like qualities—granting wishes in ways that lead to unintended consequences or misleading people for their own amusement. This is why, in many stories, dealing with djinn requires caution, wisdom, and often specific rituals to avoid being deceived.
European - Reynard the Fox: Reynard is a classic trickster figure from European medieval folklore, particularly in French, Dutch, and German literature. He is a cunning and deceitful fox who outsmarts stronger and more powerful animals.
Trickster spirits can be guides, disruptors, and initiators in witchcraft. They challenge practitioners to question their assumptions, test their limits, and grow spiritually.
Common Ways They Manifest:
• In dreams, riddles, or visions.
• Through strange synchronicities or repeated symbols.
• By causing small mishaps that lead to deeper insights.
• Through divination (giving confusing or paradoxical answers).
• To break through spiritual stagnation.
• To enhance cunning, creativity, and adaptability.
• To learn lessons in a non-traditional or unexpected way.
• To embrace the chaos and flow of life.
• Unpredictability – They do not follow straightforward rules.
• Testing & Challenges – They might deceive you to force you to think deeper.
• Mischief & Pranks – They may cause minor disruptions to keep you on your toes.
• Moral Ambiguity – They do not adhere to human ethical frameworks.
Establish Boundaries - Tricksters love loopholes. When calling upon them, be clear about what you will and will not accept. Example:
"I invite only lessons that lead to wisdom, not harm."
Offerings & Gifts - Trickster spirits enjoy playful, unexpected, or symbolic offerings, such as:
• Coins (especially flipped or stolen ones).
• Jokes, riddles, or humorous poetry.
• Mirrors or objects that distort perception.
• Dice, playing cards, or trick objects.
Divination & Communication - Tricksters often communicate through:
• Tarot (especially The Fool, The Magician, and The Tower cards).
• Pendulum divination (sometimes answering playfully or misleadingly).
• Scrying, but with shifting or hidden images.
Ending a Relationship with a Trickster Spirit - If their presence becomes overwhelming, politely but firmly ask them to leave. A ritual to cut energetic ties with a trickster might involve:
• Burying their offering in the earth.
• Burning a symbolic item (like a playing card).
• Speaking a clear farewell intention:
“The game is done, the lesson learned, go now in peace, your presence turned.”
Trickster energy can manifest without summoning a specific spirit. Some signs of trickster influence:
• Objects disappearing and reappearing in odd places.
• Unexplained tech glitches at significant moments.
• Recurring jokes, puns, or trickster animals (foxes, crows, spiders).
• A sudden, unexpected twist of fate—sometimes lucky, sometimes challenging.
Example: Missing the bus only to run into an old friend you wouldn’t have met otherwise. Tricksters disrupt the expected to create new possibilities.
Tricksters are powerful, unpredictable, and wise in unconventional ways. Whether they come into your life as guides, tests, or mischief-makers, they always leave behind lessons in adaptability, resilience, and transformation.
