bitch this is all you’re gonna get. this life, this face, this body. you better not ‘maybe in another universe’ your way out of everything. sit your ass down and face this. go make tea and have a picnic and read a goddamn book. kiss your loved ones, send that damn text, and hug your siblings. this is all you’re gonna get.
Isn't writing romantic? You take pieces of yourself and others to Frankenstein into a character who will live longer than any of you. They will be immortalized because of your hand, your words, and your world, and even if readers 20 years from now don't understand, they will read the story and find themselves in the lines.
Being a writer is wild, because I’m really sitting here, contemplating how much I should break this man, with a smile.
Hi! Hope you're having a great day. I'm reaching out because I'm trying to start a community on here that's for writers and readers of fiction (target audience from 13-25ish). I want it to be like a bookstore that's run by the authors. So, authors (or aspiring authors) can have an accessible and interactive way to talk about their works and readers can ask about stories/engage with authors. There'll be different games to keep things fresh and I'm planning on a lot of genres being represented. Do you think this is something you'd like to be part of? If so, I can send a link when it's ready!
That sounds cool! Hit me up when it’s ready!
If you’re shrouded in writers block and desperately want to shoo it away to keep going with your WIP, it sometimes helps to delete the last few sentences/paragraph/scene and rewrite it. Sometimes you accidentally build dams in your creative stream and the only way around is to go back and break it down
The biggest compliment ever is when someone sees your creative work and says that they’re now inspired to go out and create something, too
And my goal is to do that to someone else
my kink is being forcefully slammed back into my hyperfixations by outstanding pieces of art
Obviously I get inspiration from things I’ve read, but I am also inspired by my favorite movies, shows, anime and manga.
It’s bothersome when I feel like I can’t bring that up when I talk to other writers.
The most terrifying monster isn’t the one under the bed—it’s the one the protagonist becomes to survive. Let them stare into the mirror and flinch at what stares back.
