“I achieve high scores on my papers and essays”
Materials:
1 yellow candle
1 green candle
1 piece of yellow ribbon, yarn or thread
1 piece of green ribbon, yarn or thread
1 piece of orange ribbon, yarn or thread
oil meant for luck or success (such as cinnamon, clove or bergamot)
(optional) mint or rosemary oil, to enhance memory
Light the yellow candle, then the green. Make sure there’s enough room to work between the two. Take the three pieces of ribbon/yarn/thread (all long enough to make a bracelet for) and begin to braid them together. The yellow, for intelligence and clarity; the green for luck; and the orange for success. As you braid them, visualize symbols associated with studying, intelligence and knowledge (books, things relate to the subject matter, etc). Once you finish braiding, dab a little bit of the oil over the place where you will tie it, and tie the bracelet (or anklet) around your wrist (or ankle) and wear it when you study and during your test.
🖤 Spell Jar for Protection 🖤
Ingredients/Equipment
Chilli Flakes (or Chilli Powder, whatever's around) - to ward off unwanted guests
Rosemary - purification, protection
Salt - absorbing negative energy, protection, purification
Black Pepper (both peppercorns and grounded) - banish negativity, protection from evil
3 Bay Leaves - protection from harmful energies
Protection Sigil or a Banish Negativity Sigil
Preferably Black Candle to seal the jar (white may be used as a substitute as I have done)
A Jar
A Funnel (trust me, if you don't use one shit will go everywhere, make and use a homemade paper funnel if you need to)
Spell Method
Cast a protective circle or do your own pre-spell rituals, whatever works for you and light the candle
Cleanse your equipment and ingredients (I use specific ritual incense but again whatever works for you, sage burning, etc)
Put the ingredients in the jar one at a time, repeating a chosen affirmation for protection with each one. The order doesn't nessicarily matter as the intent is what's most important. However, I recommend leaving the bay leaves until last
Use a marker to draw a sigil that represents protection or banishing negativity on at least one of the bay leaves. If you need to break up the leaves to fit them in the jar that's okay; again, the intention is what's most important
Close the jar and seal it with the wax from the candle
While stirring your morning tea or coffee… ☕☕☕☕☕☕☕ Stirring counter-clockwise, say 3x:
“Laziness and Sluggishness, I banish thee.”
Now, stirring clockwise, say 3x:
“Energy three times three.”
You can add “So mote it be,” at the end of you wish.
Quick, simple. Magic doesn’t have to be complicated and ultra involved in order to work. Your intention is what’s most important.

Tips for Witchcraft in the Dorm
If you're in a situation where you have a roommate that may not be open to your craft, you're in the broom closet and being in college makes it even harder to practice, you're starting your witch journey while in college, you couldn't take a full sized altar to school, or you're like me and attend a private Christian college (ugh) that makes you feel the need to be discreet, this post is for you!
If you have an altar: Find a way to downsize your altar. For some this isn't a huge thing, but I'm the kind of gal that liked to go all out with my space. The best way to do it is to find a box or container that can be moved easily and has all your essentials, and only take what can fit. If you can't fit certain tools, it's best to find substitutions. A small bowl that can hold water will work just as well as a crystal ball. Putting herbs in bags will allow more room than jars.
Alternative to candle magic: I know the urge to put tape over that fire alarm is real but I'm unfortunately a goody two shoes. Luckily wax burners exist and you can get all the fun of candle magic minus the flame. I like to draw sigils into my wax before melting it for spellwork; and you can get all sorts of different colored wax. If you need unscented wax, you can buy white wax and dye it.
Some discreet types of magic to look into:
Tea. Tea. Tea. I cannot stress how useful tea magic is. There's loads of information about it right here on Tumblr! Most dorms allow ectric teapots and tea is easy to store.
Knot magic. Here's a great post about it. Absolutely any kind of spell can be done with a knot and it's super easy to implement into everyday activities.
Moon magic. Guys, the moon is awesome. Work with it. Moon water is a great manifestation tool and corresponding anything with the moon phases is an instant boost. It's also free and super easy.
Sigils. Really fun to learn and really easy to draw in a couple journals, on a foggy window, in your tea as you stir it, or on your skin. I recommend Pinterest if you're trying to find tutorials.
Runes. I like to cast physical runes but there's lots of ways to use these in everyday magic. Each symbol has their own meaning and there's an abundance of information on them. Similar to sigils, I like to draw them on things.
Extra tips:
Learn the correspondences for each day of the week. Doing little things for each day will keep you connected to your craft as you get through college.
Anything can be a chalice. Cleanse that cup and you're good to go.
Astrology is your friend.
I'm here for you. College is hard. Dorming can be a pain too.
I hope this helps someone. Reblog if you can. Love you all!
a small self-love jar i made for my friend
ingredients: cinnamon, sugar, dry pink rose petals, oak bark dust (for protection), ashes of self-love sigil, a bit of rose water and pink candle for sealing everything 🌸💕
Simple good luck charm you can carry with you!
Needed:
small bag or pouch
bay leaf
clove
rosemary
permanent marker
sandalwood incense
🍀Start by lighting the incense and cleansing the area.
🍀Take your bay leaf and draw the above good luck sigil on top of it (use whatever method you feel is necessary to charge the sigil).
🍀Place the herbs and the bay leaf in the pouch and focus your intentions.
🍀Hold the bag above the sandalwood incense to cleanse and charge.
🍀When you feel the bag is charged enough, seal it up and carry it with you! When you feel the charge getting low, just hold it above some sandalwood incense and focus your intentions to charge it again.
“I Am Safe In This Hospital”
Draw this sigil on paper or pull it up on your electronic device during a hospital stay and keep it on, with, or near you
