Squid Came Characters saving their S/O from a game
Hi,sorry i haven’t posted I’ve been very ill and my school work’s piling up but here you go.
I changed a few of the games narratives slightly to make it fit,Like that deok-su and his team had a harder time winning tug of war,and Ali isn’t married,he’s in the game for another reason.
This was an idea from a request!

Jang Deok-su:
*It was most lightly a strength reliant game such as tug-of-war
*He knew that you were strong and surprisingly never tried to impose on that.
*But on this occasion you were tired, everyone was but you just got the bad end of it.
*Of course you were on his team,if you weren’t he was afraid that one of you would be eliminated.
*He wasn’t really paying attention to you,his attention was focused on the task at hand.
*You had insisted at going on the front,he objected heavily to that.Not only was he so prideful he HAD to be on the front but he was also very concerned for you,he’d never show it though.
*He opted to go behind you after battling with your iron-willed self
*The team you were facing was a lot stronger than anyone would have thought.
*His attention fumbled from the game to you as he noticed how near you were to the edge,one pull from the other team an you’d fall.
*The opposing team saw this as a chance to pull,sending you over the ledge,only to be held up in mid air.
*He had grabbed the rope as quickly as it fell and just pulled with all the strength in his body,keeping you in place and hauling you up.
*This caused the other team to loose their balance as the rope was being held still by Deok-su and the rest of the team in order to save you and themselves.
*This gave your team the chance to pull and send the other team tumbling to their deaths.
*When you got in the elevator going down,he just hugged you.
*It was the first time he’d shown true affection towards you around others,it was common in private but this was new.
*Putting his pride to one side he admitted he was scared and thought he’d lost you
*He slightly scolded you to not do something like that again but he really meant it,he couldn’t loose you.
Ali Abdul:
*During Red-light Green-light you’d had a pretty good running streak,understanding the game and abiding by the rules.
*The giant doll was progressively getting quicker and more difficult to prepare for
*Ali had noticed you from the very beginning,seemingly unfazed by the deaths of others around you,you’re main focus on the game.
*You peaked an interest in him,prompting him to stay close to you,slightly in front.
*The dolls’ singing continued as he looked behind him,noticing that you had stumbled on a stray body.
*Knowing that the doll would turn around any second he backed himself up and stood directly in front of you,shielding you from the dolls view.
*Once the singing continued,he helped you up by your hand and stayed in front of you protectively.
*He knew he had to get you through this game and he was intending to do that.
*Any time the dolls head swiveled around to stare at the players he made sure it couldn’t see or detect you.
*As the timer ran down with only 5 seconds to go,he shoved you hastily over the finish line,jumping to his own safety moments later.
Seong Gi-hun:
*Staring at the brittle honeycomb that lay in the small metal tin,you recognized the game as sugar honeycombs,a game that you had never been good at even as a kid.
*Now with this knowledge,choosing the triangle was a good decision
*You looked over towards Gi-hun in order to gauge his reaction and what shape he chose,he was sweating bullets.
*Sitting down next to him,you saw the imprint of an umbrella,looking back to your honeycomb,you traced the outline of the shape with the provided needle.
*Watching the clock count down,you began to panic,knowing how little time you had and how little you had done it was as good as over.
*You were at the point of giving up and accepting your fate until you felt a curt tap on your shoulder.
*Turning around you saw Gi-hun with his honeycomb,almost completely uncut,but he then began to like the back of it.
*You didn’t catch on right away,you just thought he had given up too but once he held it up to the light,you understood.
*Licking the back of the honeycomb would soften it and make the shape easier to slide out.
*You followed in his footsteps and began to lick it until you were able to take the triangle out with no bother.
*The timer had just ran out making you sigh in relief as you and Gi-hun showed your shapes to the staff,upon hearing your names on the intercom you took your leave.
Kang Sae-byeok:
*Everyone was on edge,the night was fast approaching and there was going to be fight or a killing.
*Sae-byeok suggested moving nearer her for the night knowing that you were nervous and because she was sure Deok-su would try something.
*You agreed,sitting on her bed waiting for the lights to turn off.
*As they did you just sat there with her,listening for any movement.
*A scream echoed through the room as a broken bottle was jammed into her neck.
*Moving off the bed with Sae-byeok you inched slowly to the group of guys in the corner,agreeing that there’s strength in numbers.
*But you caught the eye of some of deok-su’s gang who promptly ran over to you with self made weapons.
*Sae-byeok had noticed them already and took a metal bar from one of the many beds surrounding you.
*As they started to approach you,she swung at them harshly,hitting them in the jaw knocking them out.
*Rushing over to you she sat you down on a high bed and checked you over for any injuries or wounds.
*Until the lights came on she wasn’t letting you out of her sight,keeping her pocket knife at hand.
Triangle Guard:
*He was always very concerned whenever you played,there was always the possibility that you would be eliminated and he couldn’t stop it.
*But he knew he couldn’t just pull you out of them,he didn’t have that authority.
*He was on staff during the sugar honeycombs,watching over you and making sure that you won’t be eliminated.
*Walking around he saw you over by the slide and went over to you,seeing the fear in your eyes and the way you covered your tin,he knew what had happened.
*He asked you to let him see it,causing you to show the crumbled sweet treat.
*Picking up your tin,seemingly to inspect it he placed something into it and gave it back to you before walking away.
*Looking into the tin you way a perfectly cut shape replaced your mangled one.
*Smiling you showed one of the other guards and heard your name on the intercom,giving you your pass to leave.

You woke up to a rushed knock on the door, nuzzling your face into the chest beneath you. Yet your muttered protests were ignored as your guard gently shifted you to the side as he stood to answer the door.
Frustrated by the sudden cold that prickled your skin you quickly stood to slip your arms around his waist failing to notice the clothes he had retrieved from the threshold.
Gently pulling him back towards the bed you pouted when despite your efforts he managed to keep his feet planted in the same spot. Chuckling at your efforts your lovely masked man pulled himself from your arms with a hand on your shoulders, before starting;
"Here, I asked them to send some pyjamas. Change into these and-"
He was interrupted by the monotone PA system announcing the commencement of lights out in half a minute.
Chucking once again he continued, "You can change in here just knock before you come out,"
Taking the garments from his hands, you paused before moving towards the bathroom. "Can I-um, Can I see your face?" The man in front of you stilled for a moment before reaching up and under his hood, pulling the mask off of his face.
As the countdown neared its end you quickly scanned his face, attempting to memorise his seemingly perfect features. Gingerly tracing his cheekbones with your thumbs, you smiled up at him as the count ended.
"Given the darkness, I might just change here." When he agreed and said he would do the same, you attempted to discern the garments from each other and the way in which they were to be worn.
It is not long before you are doing up the last button, the guard long retired to the bed almost silently drumming his fingers on his bare chest.
Pulling on the pyjama pants up, you find that they fall back to the floor just as easily. After trying once more, you instead fold them up, knowing the shirt they had provided was also seemingly the largest size and almost reached the floor. Plodding over to the best you lay back down upon his chest, before pulling the blankets up to cover you both.
Humming at the warmth that consumed you as his legs tangled with yours, you thought before speaking softly. "So, I've seen your face, I'd love to put a name to it"
"You're one to speak 457"
"Well then, I see how it is." Lifting yourself, perching your chin on his chest and staring into his eyes you began again. "Nice to meet you I am y/n, and my entire family is horrible with money so I ended up here trying to help them."
His chest vibrated beneath you as he prepared his introduction.
"Lovely to meet you my darling," He cooed as he raised your hands to his lips once again. "I'm Laurie, Needed money and I didn't know the nitty-gritty when I started, but once I did it was too late to quit."
"Well, I'm not sure how long you hope to keep me here but when I do get to leave, would you come with me if you got the chance to?"
"I don't have anything to return to, no career path. No family anywhere. I was a bouncer before this, But after this, I don't think I could do that."
Furrowing your brow you attempted to think of an answer, but there was none. It seemed he sensed your concern however as he lightened the mood.
"But if you mean coming with you as in being your trophy husband, well then of course." Unable to hold back your giggles the two of you held each other close.
"Why do I feel so comfortable around you?"
"I don't know, I suppose it's because my job was to lead you to your death, and instead I led you to my bed." He said a smirk accompanying his final words, to which you lightly slapped his chest as you condemned;
"You make it sound so dirty."
"Well if you don't want to be in my bed..." he countered as he shook his head, pulling back the covers and detaching his arm from your waist.
"Oh Shush" you dismissed snuggling further into his side and tucking the blankets around the pair of you and settling in for a night of soft words and memories.

They first saw you when they picked you up, you were so confused and excited at the thought of getting money they felt sorry for you knowing what lied ahead
When you fell asleep due to the gas they occasionally checked to look at the other players from the mirror to see if anyone was still awake and when they saw your cute sleeping face they just couldn't help but fall for you
When they settled you on the bed they stroked your face admiring your features and they couldn't help but sigh knowing what dangers you were going to face, they knew this could be the last time they saw you up close
But they couldn't stop doing their duties so they reluctantly left you to sleep and wake up for the games to start
During the first game, they felt their heart being stabbed as they saw you crying and screaming for help and looking for a way out
too bad there isn't though
well that's where they were wrong though
there was because of the clause in the contract, and after voting, you were gassed once again to go home
now they really won't get to see you anymore
Driving off they took one last look at where they left you before they accelerated and drove away
You came back
their heart skipped a beat
but it also fell because they knew what the next game was, what if you chose umbrella or the star
later that night they saw that you seemed hungrier than before so they gave you extra servings, nothing too big to be noticed but it made all the difference
seeing your satisfied face and cute embarrassed face after burping loudly was worth it
When it was time for lights of a woman was loudly knocking on the door to be let out to use the bathroom
they didn't open it in annoyance but when they saw you stir and get up the doors were suddenly flung open wide

Woman found injured but alive on a remote part of the Croatian island of Krk doesn't know who she is, but speaks fluent English (TW: for blood and facial injuries)
This is a developing story that is happening right now in my country and I thought it was my duty as somebody who has a slight platform to bring this up to the attention of as many people as possible. If we spread her image around the net, someone will hopefully be able to recognize her. I apologize in advance for any mistakes, as English is not my native language.
What we know so far: on Saturday the 11th, September of 2021, a local fisherman spotted a woman he didn't know on the rocks some distance away from a nearby popular beach. She didn't appear to be in bad spirits or in distress, and the area where she was at was not approachable to him by boat due to it being extremely rocky, but as she didn't call out to him he assumed she was just walking or relaxing there and paid it no mind.
However, the next day when he came back (Sunday the 12th), she yelled out to him asking for help in perfect English. As he could not get to her on his own due to the terrain making it impossible for him to dock there, he immediately called rescuers and a mission to save the unfortunate woman was underway. 12 members of HGSS Rijeka (Croatian alpine search and rescue organization) were dispatched to the scene and had to hike one mile to get to her.
They found the woman with some non-life threatening injuries, exhausted, dehydrated and disoriented. It was determined she spent the previous night there. She was unable to walk so they had to use a stretcher to carry her to the ambulance. She couldn't tell them who she was, as she could not remember and even today, over a week later, she can offer no answers to her identity and our police is asking the public for help.
The woman (and I can't stress it enough that I hate calling her 'the woman' because she has a name and identity and a life and deserves to be known as more than just "unknown woman found injured on the rocks") is estimated to be around 60 years of age, is of medium build, 165 cm tall, with blue eyes and blonde, short hair. I've seen it reported as shoulder-length but in the photos her hair looks a little shorter to me.
At the moment of discovery, she was dressed in a dark blue and white striped short-sleeve shirt with a hood, black Capri pants, white socks, dark blue and white sneakers and a magenta pick bucket hat. She had no ID or a mobile phone on her. The fisherman's wife who was also on the boat with him has said that they spoke in English and that to her it seemed that her accent could have been Scottish, but she wasn't sure.
I'd like to add that the fisherman should not be blamed for not helping her the day before, as she was not in distress, did not seem to be lost or injured from what he could tell and was not communicating with anyone nor asking for help, and only when he went back the day later, did she asked for help and make it known that something's not right. It's a good thing he went back because he likely saved her life.
She's currently still in the hospital in stable condition and recovering well, but the police are no closer to finding out who she is. Nobody knows how she got to where she was found or if there was any foul play involved, but there has to be somebody out there who knows who she is, that's why I implore you to share her photo wherever you can so we can help her reclaim her identity.
I'm including the photo of her face with the injuries she sustained because it's the only good photo of her we have right now, and of the rescue mission so you could get a better look at her clothes from when she was found.
In the end, I'd like to thank you all for taking your time to read this lengthy post and for caring about a woman you don't even know who needs our help.

Okay, I don’t know how true this is - but this is huge fucking news.
I’ve been saying this for a while now, but Disney, Amazon and co. are trying to return to the studio system of the old Hollywood days that got - rightly - discontinued in the 1960s. Those were the days when each studio owned their own cinemas that could only stream their movies, where they owned actors who could only play in their movies (unless hired out by others) - and that led to people like Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe etc. literally being owned by studios that fed them non stop pills and driven to overdose.
That’s the end point. That’s not the point we’re at now. But you’ll notice that in the last 3 or 4 years, every major production company now has a streaming platform. Much like up until the late 1960s in America, you can only see movies on company-owned platforms. This, with Johansson, is a huge step further - the largest production company in the world - who breached contract, not the other way around - are now essentially blacklisting Johansson from working with them for speaking out against them. Sure, this isn’t a blacklist on the level of the red and lavender scares - but if they can do this to Johansson, the biggest actor in the world, it sets a huge fucking precedent for blacklisting anybody who stands up for workers’ rights.
It also sees Disney - and other companies will follow suit, as they always do - moving a step closer to owning their stars. What Disney is trying to say is that Disney and Johansson are not equal partners in the contract, but that Disney has the ultimate say over everything. This idea that the contract is a formality is absolutely fucked, because it means that artists have no rights under the corporations, and if they want to continue to work they have to obey. Nobody is signing exclusive contracts yet, but you bet this is reverting to Judy Garland times.
We are not going forwards. The movie industry is going backwards to the days of Louis B. Mayer (and it’s capitalism’s fault) and we all need to boost the fuck out of this. The courts will handle the Disney case - but we must support ScarJo (I say as very much a non ScarJo fan) and make sure that she continues to have a career after this, to set the precedent that audiences will not stand for future blacklisting.
Theory: What Silver Is Truly Twisted From
A Happy Belated Birthday Silver!!!!!!!
(Would you believe me if I told you, I had this in my drafts for a while now, only as part of a bigger post for all the ‘?’ students and decided to rework Silver’s bit as a belated Birthday Gift to him??? 😅)
So I’ve seen plenty of theories on Silver’s true identity and the most prevalent theory is that Silver is twisted from the Sword of Truth; the sword that killed Maleficent in the original ‘Sleeping Beauty’
And I’m very confident when I say that I don’t think that theory’s wrong.
I know the theory’s wrong.
Normally, I would NEVER say something as confidently as I’m saying this, so I hope that convinces you to give, what I’m about to say, a try.
So first thing’s first; if Silver’s not twisted from the Sword of Truth, what is he twisted from?
Well the biggest clue to his identity, sans icon, is the fact that he uses light magic for his Null attacks—meaning he’s not twisted from something villainous
What fueled this theory was actually another Silver theory; and that’s, that he’s twisted from Aurora herself.
The evidence provided for this speculation is the fact that he exhibits traits similar to Aurora; attracting animals, purple eyes, and a tendency to fall asleep.
But that’s also wrong.
Because while Aurora does indeed share those traits with Silver, it’s not because he’s twisted from Aurora—rather Silver is twisted from what she has.
In other words: Silver is twisted from the Three Good Fairies’ Gifts.

Aurora’s purple eyes were a signifier of her literal enchanted beauty, the Gift of Beauty; Silver’s eyes are explicitly called aurora silver, both in the Magical Archives and in-game, referred to as ‘aurora’, and look purple—in fact if you look closer you’ll notice that his eyes have shades of blue and pink in them. Sound familiar?
Silver’s strange, natural affinity for animals, despite not being good at Animal Languages, is a carry over from Fauna’s Gift of Song, where Aurora’s singing would be so beautiful, animals couldn’t help but be drawn to her. Silver mentions how the animals would always come to him, when he was feeling particularly downtrodden, echoing how Aurora’s animal friends comforted her, when she was feeling lonely.
His tendency to fall asleep, which originally led to theories that he’s twisted from Maleficent’s Curse or the Spindle of the Cursed Spinning Wheel, but that’s already been disproven, by virtue of the detail of his Null Magic above. Moreover, Maleficent’s Curse was that Aurora would die; it was Merryweather that altered the curse so that Aurora would fall asleep instead. So ultimately, Silver’s sleepiness is a result of Merryweather’s Gift.
What gives this theory even further weight is the fact that very suspiciously, Silver of all Diasomnia students, has a classroom chat where he not only mentions a ‘princess from a long time ago’ who received magical gifts from Three Fairies, but name-drops all the gifts.
With his Birthday Suit Up, comes further lore, but also the eagerly anticipated pin, which looks like this:

People were quick to point out the fact that the pattern behind the sword on the pin was none other than Aurora’s Crown itself. So naturally people doubled down on the Aurora Theory.
But remember.
Aurora’s Crown was also a gift.
“This one last gift, dear child for thee, a symbol of thy royalty; a crown to wear in grace and beauty, as is thy right and royal duty.” -Flora
And it was a gift from all the Three Good Fairies.
So then, how should I explain all the sword imagery, if Silver’s not twisted from the Sword of Truth?
Well it’s simple.
The Sword Icon for Silver is an analogue.
It’s supposed to be a physical way to represent the fact that Silver’s the Three Gifts, because let’s be honest, how are you supposed to visually depict something that abstract without the design getting overly complicated?
The Sword was picked because, it too, once again, was a gift; something from Flora to Prince Philip.
The best way to summarise the fact that Silver’s the Three Gifts is by hinting at it with another, more tangible gift.
And that, my fellow TWST Fans, is my evidence on what Silver truly is.

God, as somebody that grew up in a largely jewish community, holocaust denial is like... so fucking weird.
Because I don’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t terrified of swastika’s, including when I was so young that I didn’t even know what a swastika was.
Because it’s such a strangely specific feeling to be born in the wake of a tragedy so massive that you can still feel it’s reverberations and were born with a weird sense of survivors guilt that will shadow you forever
Because when we were younger and our parents refused to tell us exactly what the holocaust was, we would trade our grandparents horrific experiences like they were scary stories across the camp fire, repeating them over and over to ourselves and eachother so we could figure out what it all meant.
Because I’d see those books with grey photos of Auschtwitz prisoners on the cover and feel like they were looking straight fucking at me.
Because every single Yom HaShoah you’d hear grade school children get up and say “my grandmother was the only one left of her family” or “they barely got out before it started” or “they managed to hide in an attic for months on end” or “my great grandmother managed to jump off one of the trains with her daughter in her arms” or “my grandfather has numbers on his arms but he won’t talk about it” or “my great aunt was shot just before the liberation so she couldn’t get out,” like it was normal.
Because we were always taught to run if we were in a group of non-jews that started making nazi jokes, to laugh along and then take the fuck off to stay safe.
Because the question always lingered over our heads, “what if it happens again? what if it happens to us?”
.... and them some stupid fucking college age white trash dickhead stands up and says “it didn’t happen” or “it wasn’t that bad” and I just can’t... fathom that? Like how the fuck wasn’t this part of your life? How is this not etched into your bones?
And its because it’s not. Like people didn’t grow up with this shit, some people can afford to deny the holocaust and deny antisemitism because it won’t hurt them.
It’s just... fucking wild.

just a reminder that happiness doesn’t have an age limit!! that stuffed animal makes you happy? buy it! you like lego sets? build them!! I think it’s so stupid to perpetuate the idea that “growing up” means you have to let go of things that are “childish.” if it makes you happy then do it!!!!
