This is something that I see so much in multiple fandoms (looking at you good omens). Honestly it seems like some people just don’t like fat/ larger characters. So they feel the need to draw them in a way that is “conventionally attractive”. I’ve seen fan art that is so beautiful and the artists are clearly talented yet the artists take chubby characters and make them skinny. It’s ok for characters to be chubby or fat or anything that isn’t “conventionally attractive”. LET THE CHARACTERS BE THEMSELVES!!
Like how are you gonna tell me that you like character A but you draw them in a way that isn’t like the character at all?
I’m not talking about people who struggle with drawing larger bodies, it takes time and practice to draw people. As someone who draws as a hobby, I know I struggle with drawing different body types. (Practice makes perfect)
Stop drawing/writing the Leatherfaces as skinny. That is the devil whispering to you.
