when your phone rang and you saw peters name pop up along with his contact picture, you didn’t even hesitate to grab your phone as quick as you could, scaring sam in the process as you threw down your uno cards.

“hello?”

“hey, uh… can i get a ride?”

his voice was shaky, his breathing quick, and with no more than thirty seconds into the phone call, you could tell that something was wrong. the way that your stomach twisted with every word that left his mouth just confirmed your thoughts. 

“where are you? i’ll come get you.” 

at this point, you were looking at happy, who was already going to get the jet ready for takeoff.

Your eyes flew open at the sound of your window lock popping open, a thumping sound echoed. Grabbing the closest thing you could grab, your hands clutched your bedside table lamp, ready to hit the intruder.

"Y/n! Y/n, it's me!" A familiar voice spoke. You furrowed your eyebrows together. Flicking the light on, your heart dropped at the sight of JJ Maybank. "Did you seriously just climb through my window? On the second floor?"

Placing your light back on the table, you walked towards the boy who had his head hung low. Walking up to him, you gently held the bottom of his chin, making you look at him. Your mouth slightly falling open at the sight of a gash above his eyebrow.

"He did this, didn't he?" You questioned, already knowing how his father had a past of being abusive to the boy. He didn't speak, nodding his head. "I can't sleep, can I stay here?" He quickly asked, obviously scared to go back home.

"Yeah, yeah of course. Come on let's get you cleaned up." You held his hand in yours, leading him to your bathroom. He sat on the ledge of the tub, watching you dip a face rag in warm, soapy water.

A soft sob erupted from JJ's mouth, making you turn your head to look at him to see his hands hiding his face. You got on your knees in front of him, holding both of his shoulders.

"Hey, hey JJ I'm right here. You're safe, he can't hurt you." You mumbled, pulling him into your chest. "He didn't- didn't stop throwing insult after insult. Every god damn day is insults and fighting." You squeezed your eyes shut as you held him close to you.

You whispered soft, supporting words, rocking back and forth trying to calm him down. "It's okay, I got you." You whispered, pressing a kiss to his for forehead. "You make me feel safe." He whispered, sniffing. You didn't let go until you the felt hot tears on your chest disappear.

Pulling away, you held his chin again, "I'm sorry if this hurts." You apologized quickly. You gently swiped the rag across his wound, washing off dried blood and anything else.

He took in small details as you cleaned his wound. How dialated your pupils were as you focused on him. How your eyelashes just barely touched the bottom of your eyebrow. He never noticed just how beautiful your eyes were. He couldn't help but softly grin at how your to tongue was ever so slightly sticking out.

He flinched, flinging his body away from your hand. "I know, I know, I'm sorry." After you cleaned his cut, you washed the rest of his face, letting him melt into your touch.

Grabbing a special cream for cuts, you gently dabbed a splotch on, watching his face contort in pain at the stinging sensation. Unwrapping a pokemon band aid, you lifted it up, only to have him push your hand back down to inspect the band aid. "Fuck yeah, it's Charmander." He laughed, breaking the glum feeling in the room.

"Perfect match for you, Maybank." You grinned, sealing the band aid down on his cut. "And there you go. Good as new." JJ jumped up from his spot, wrapping you in a tight hug. His arms found their way around your neck, resting his chin on the top of your head.

"You know you're always welcomed here." You mumbled into his chest, earning a kiss on your head. "Let's try to get some rest." He released you a you led him back to your bed.

You took your spot closest to the wall, patting the seat next to you for JJ to join. He climbed in next to you, his arm resting underneath your head as he pulled you close to him.

Your arm rested on his chest, drawing soft shapes on his shirt knowing that was something that calmed him down when he needs it. His body shuttered, reaching over you to close the window he unlocked. "Here, take my blanket."

You passed him the blanket that was pooled at your feet. Pulling the blanket up, you covered both your bodies. "You make me warmer than that." He mumbled, intertwining his legs with yours.

You tilted your head up to see him looking down at you with a smile. "You're the best y/n/n." You pressed a kiss to the bottom of his jaw, snuggling your face onto his chest. You watched as his eyelids fluttered shut, hearing the shallow breaths coming out of his mouth. JJ was finally able to sleep, feeling safe and secure knowing you were in his arms now, and you were gonna be in his arms when he's awake.

You rested your ear on his pectoral, listening to the soothing beat of his heart. Grinning to yourself, you whispered, "goodnight JJ." Before allowing yourself to fall asleep in the arms of JJ Maybank.

As If I Deserve It (Gally x Reader)

Authors note: ALRIGHT, this has death cure spoilers so DONT read if you haven’t seen/read it!!!! Also I kind of changed the prompt a bit to fit better, I hope you enjoy!!! Feedback and comments are very much appreciated!!!

Everyone was in shock as Gally removes his mask, your eyes going wide and your breath hitching in your throat. You thought he was dead, you watched him die. How could he be here? Tear filled your eyes as his gaze meets yours, your heart pounding in your chest. You could feel your fingers shake, your body practically screaming at you to run over and touch him, to see if he was real.

“Gally?” Newt questioned, his head tilting to the side of out confusion.

“I thought you were dead.” Frypan adds, his eyes darting over to you for a split second. You watch as Jorge steps forward a bit, shielding Brenda behind him.

“No, you left me for dead.” Gally scoffs, going on to explain how he got here and out of the maze.

Thomas’s hands clenched into fists, his chest heaving with anger. You were about to grab him, hold him back but you were to slow. Thomas had already charged Gally, punching him in the face as everyone around you yelled and raised their guns.

You were still in shock as they pried Thomas off of him, your body frozen in place and your eyes leaking tears as you continued to stare at Gally. You had only ever dreamed about him coming back to you, only ever thought that maybe, just maybe, there was something you could have done to save him. And yet, he was here and so were you. But everything was so different now, everything has changed.

“Y/N?” Brenda whispered, her hand reaching out for yours. You blink, rubbing your eyes with the back of your hands and wiping away the tears. You gave her a tight lipped smile, seeing the concern on her face.

“Are you okay?” She mumbled to you as she placed her hand on your shoulder, Jorge’s gaze filtering over to the two of you. You nodded your head at her, eyes darting back over to Gally.

“I’m good, it’s just uh… shocking to say the least.” You let out a sigh, fingers playing with the hem of your shirt. Brenda gives you a smile and a slight squeeze on your shoulder, her eyes showing recognition of your situation.

You didn’t have to tell her that the man standing in front of you, you watched die. He was someone you loved, someone you still love, and you watched him die. You went on thinking all the time he was gone, never going to be seen again. But you were wrong.

With heavy limbs, you walk over to Gally. Your brows knitting together as you stand behind him, heart beating wildly in your chest and your stomach turning to knots.

“Gally.” You croak out, not sure of what to say. He turns around to look at you, a soft smile tugging on his lips.

“Y/N, It’s been a while.” He chuckles, a smile ghosting over your lips. You could feel the tears prick your eyes again as you pull him into a hug, your arms wrapping firmly around his neck as his go around your waist. You could feel him smiling against your skin as he places his head in the crook of your neck.

“God I missed you.” You admit, sniffling into his chest as you card your fingers through his short hair. You felt him hum against you, squeezing you tighter as if you’d disappear any moment.

“I thought about you everyday.” He mumbles, his words coming out quiet and slightly muffled against your skin.

“Me too.” You were crying now, tears slipping from your eyes one after another. “I love you.”

You could feel his body stiffen and his heart quicken in his chest, but he still held onto you. Tears slipped past his eyes as he cuddles closer to you, the two of you not caring about the others in this moment.

“I don’t deserve you and yet, you love me as if i do.” Gally pulls back, his hand cradling your face and wiping away your tears.

“You deserve the world.” You smile, leaning into his hands as your own cover his. You watch the smile make its way onto his face, his eyes full of adoration.

“God, I love you.”

MY BLOODY EVERYTHING (Newt x reader)

Yeah of course ❤️💟 this has been on my mind too anyway 🤫😅

From the distance you could hear loud grunts and some ear piercing shouts as you ran even faster than before. Up the stairs, then around the block, eventually you found what you were looking for, but the sight you had to take in wasn’t so pleasant.

You just saw Thomas hitting out a gun of Newt’s hand. But Newt didn’t wait, he attacked Thomas right away, jumping on him, hitting him, kicking him in every way it was possible.

Thomas was laying on the ground as Newt hit him again and again. You ran to them shouting louder and harder than you have ever done in your life “Newt stop!”

As soon as the worlds left your mouth his movements stopped. He slowly turned his head towards you. He was already half crank and it broke your heart, but you had to go on. You had to win time, so the others could give him the serum.

You took a deep breath and stepped towards him, yet he still didn’t move. You had no idea what was gonna happen, and honestly you were terrified that nothing was left from your Newt, but still you kept getting closer and closer.

“Y/N, don’t.” Thomas warned you, and the moments the words left his mouth Newt screamed in a way you were sure you were gonna go deaf. You were too busy covering your ears, you didn’t see Newt knocking Thomas out and then charging towards you violently.

He came at you, and the both of you fell on the ground. His hands quickly found their way around your neck, chocking you with such a force, you didn’t knew was possible. You could feel the oxygen leaving your whole body, slowly fading away into something that was like a deep slumber. With everything you’ve had, you swung your right leg and kicked him hard in the stomach.

Newt fell next to you, and while your kick slowed him down a bit, he was on foot again in no time.

Luckily you were faster as you straddled him and tried to hold him down.

“Thomas!” You tried to wake him up while struggling to keep a screaming and kicking Newt on the ground “We’re running out of time here!”

But no answer came and you couldn’t leave Newt. You looked down at him and your face softened. He seemed so… far away.

“Love” you whispered as you could feel a tear coming down your face. “Newt, please.” You begged for him to come back to you, to be himself again, the loving, determined, calm Newt you fell in love with. You felt desperate and deep down you felt yourself losing the last little spark of hope you had in yourself. “Goddamit Newt, listen to me! This isn’t you, you have to fight this shit and beat it!” You shouted at him. “You can’t let this take you away from me, you can’t let it take over you! Please!” But Newt didn’t seem to care a thing about what you were telling him as he finally found a way out of your grasp and hit you hard in the chest.

You fell back and for a few moments you couldn’t breath properly. By the time you caught your breath, Newt was on the top of you holding a knife in his hands, aiming at you. He started pushing it into you and you grabbed his wrists, pushing him away from you.

For a moment time seemed to freeze for you as you were just laying there, under Newt, who was about to end your life. You were still keeping the knife away from your chest, but it was just a matter of seconds before you ran out of all your remaining power. You closed your eyes and decided it’s better to die by Newt than to kill him. You would never be able to do that no matter what. Even if the whole humanity’s faith would depend on it, you just wouldn’t be able to do it. You loved him too much. One last time you let that warm feeling fill you up.

From corner of your mouth your tried to smile at him as you opened your eyes. “It’s alright Newt.” You said. “I’m alright.” You told him softly and his eyes seemed to change a bit, but you were sure by now it was all your imagination. “I love you and that’s all that matters. Do it. It’s gonna be okay.” You closed your eyes and let your hands fall to the floor.

You were waiting for the sharp pain in your chest, but it never came. You didn’t dare to open your eyes until you heard a familiar voice.

“You shank, this wasn’t the plan!” You heard Minho’s irritated and angry voice as he grabbed you hard and lifted you from the ground. “I love you, that’s all that matters. I’m alright Newt.” He mimicked you as he still held you strong. “No, no and no! It’s not alright if you give up! You need to fight even if everything in you says not to!”

You couldn’t even register in your mind what he said, all you could think about was Newt. “WHERE IS HE?!” You shouted and pushed Minho off of you and looked around.

You saw Newt laying on the flooring his back, completely still. You looked at Brenda who was kneeling beside him, holding an empty injector in her hand.

“This was supposed to give him time.” She said quietly and looked to the ground. She slowly stood up.

You didn’t even look at her, you just ran to Newt and grabbed his hand strong. You felt like your throat was burning but you finally managed to crack out a few words. “I need you.” You whispered as you pulled his body closer to yours. You could feel everyone’s eyes on you but you didn’t care. “I need you more than I have ever needed anything and more than I will ever need anything in my life.” You paused. “Please Newt.” You turned your head away and tears started to stream down your face fast. You started sobbing, maybe this really was over. Maybe you really did lose him.

You heard a weak cough from Newt’s body’s way, and you thought your mind is a cruel thing to play jokes like this on you. This made you cry even harder than before.

But suddenly the coughing became louder and you looked down at Newt. You couldn’t believe your eyes. He was awake. Don’t get me wrong, he seemed like the worst version of himself, his eyes were half closed, his body seemed so weak and he was dirty as hell, but he was there and he was breathing. He was alive. Newt was alive. You couldn’t believe it.

“Guys!” You called behind your back and then turned back to Newt. “Don’t worry love, you’ll be fine.”

FEW DAYS LATER

You walking towards the room Newt was kept. After getting the temporary antidote, he seemed to wake up, but after a few sane moments he blacked out in your arms immediately.

Not long after he got the vaccine made of Thomas’ immune blood, so he was supposed to be okay. “Supposed to be.” You thought.

You were in safe heaven, you were supposed to start a new life here with Newt. You were supposed to be with Newt. Instead you were alone.

You reached the door and you pushed into ahead and stepped into the room. He was laying on his bed, perfectly still.

You walked beside him and sat down in the chair you have been sleeping in the last few days. You grabbed his hand.

“Hey love.” You greeted him.

Hours passed and you felt yourself give in to your tiredness. You were still holding Newt’s hand.

You woke up to a gentle but steady grab on your hand. You felt more awake than ever. “I’m here, I’m awake. Is everything alright?” You asked rushed, thinking it was Minho or Thomas who woke you up.

But instead your were greeted by the tired eyes of Newt. He was smiling at you.

“Hey love.” He said. His voice was raspy and quiet but you couldn’t have cared less. You couldn’t move as you could feel him sliding over in his bed, making place for you beside him and raising the blanket.

He didn’t have to say anything, you were next to him in less than a second, wrapping your arms around his waist. His body was warm, like it always was. He wrapped his arms around your body protectively and held you tight.

“You came back.” You told him after a while, not moving an inch from his embrace.

“You’re my bloody everything. I couldn’t have left you behind Y/N.” He told you and you only pushed yourself closer to him, if it was possible.
