hesitant alien feels like moving out of your parents’ house and into your first apartment, and being alone for the first time in your life in a new city where no one knows who you are, and it’s raining outside so you have the tv running just to feel like there’s someone there.

Lakeview Manor is the best. It has a wolf den nearby, a dead body of a woodcutter outside, a secret bandit hideout just a stone's throw away, friendly visiting giants, a necromancer practicing forbidden rituals that can be seen from your alchemy tower, sometimes dragons swooping down from the sky to greet your housecarl, and you have to go through a bandit ambush to get into the nearest city. What's not to love? :D
