And they’d all surround him with smiles and pats on his back, laughing with him. But mainly laughing at him. Well, all except the one and only Ken Takakura. Or, in which Jiji is deluded that he needs people to like his funny side for people to want to be around him, and when Okarun refuses to laugh at anything Jiji says, well, let's say... he starts to freak out.

I was just thinking the other day about how often they refer to Perry as semi aquatic yet he isn’t seen in water all that much (although my memory is spotty. last time I did a rewatch of the entire series was years ago) but here’s this little tank thingy for him to relax in. I don’t think we ever see it again, much less him using it. But it is a charming detail.
