Everybody shut the fuck up Dana Terrace is collabing with Glitch on a sci-fi psychological thriller along with the head writer and one of the storyboarders of TOH
Welp, hope yall who didn’t vote or voted third party are ready for this
Formal dress event 👔
Yeah I’ve heard that before but it never seems to stick. No matter how many times people put forward this more enlightened idea of privilege, the wider leftist movement fails to adopt it, and we’re left in the same place of people acting like the disheveled homeless guy on the side of the street rambling to no one about nothing with seemingly no knowledge that everyone can hear him because he’s just that broken is benefitting from oppression or part of a privileged class because he’s white.
Its been said a thousand times but the idea that "privileged groups" are uniformly benefited by the oppression of their complementary "oppressed groups" is both detached from reality and fundamentally anti-solidarity
White agricultural workers in the antebellum and sharecropper-era american south did not fucking benefit from a captive black workforce working for nothing or close to it. They very much the opposite of benefited from this arrangement, and anyone trying to tell them otherwise was trying to sucker them. Cannot feed yr kids with psychological wages! What could compel anyone to intervene 150yrs after the fact on the side of the slavery propagandists?
I know I've been posting more about politics lately, and it's caused me to lose a chunk of followers.
But I'm a queer person with a degree in political science and its an election year. I'm old friends with several of my city council members. I've been to trainings on how to run elections. I spent my college years working for nonprofits (and being the world's worst canvasser). I'm close with more than one person who works for unions, and I have family members who work for government agencies.
I think about politics in a very pragmatic "I know how the sausage is made" kind of way. We're in a vice press, and there's only one way to release the pressure.
The revolution ain't coming. There is no one to save us but us.
So yeah, I'm going to be pissed if your answer is "let them tighten the vice -- there's no way out of the vice, it doesn't matter if they loosen or tighten it."
There's a difference, and anyone telling you otherwise is likely a psyop or someone who fell for a psyop. This literally happened before, and it's happening again.
Stop falling for it.

If you (like me) want 3rd party candidates to be an actual viable option in USA elections so you no longer have to vote for Democrats OR Republicans as your first and only choice, then what we need is Ranked Choice Voting. In order for that to happen, we as voters have to do two things:
Vote Democrat this fall, because Republicans fucking hate Ranked Choice Voting, and in several Republican-run states they have outlawed it. So if you want it, you have to keep Democrats in power in your state.
Lobby for and then vote for Ranked-choice voting in your state! Many American states have already adopted Ranked Choice voting and several more are set to do so in 2024. The ball is literally already rolling on this, we just need YOU to help it along.
I cannot stand the parodies of modern major general, they're overdone and simply not as good as the original. They've done them about everything, whatever topic, big or small.
And when i notice one of them my eyes will always start to roll.
The diction's always slurry when they rush the complicated words, and adding many fricatives will turn it so cacophonous. The slanted rhymes are silly and they keep just making more and more, please someone stop the parodies of modern major general.
The scanning of the lyrics in the meter is unbearable, they emphazise the syllables in ways that are untenable, in short in matters musical, prosodic and ephemeral, i cannot stand the parodies of modern major general!
biggest mindfuck is the fact that it can be so so difficult to tell the difference between when it's time for "do it bored/scared/stupid but by jove just do it" and when it's time for "if it sucks hit the bricks"
“Once you accept that Nazis, or pedophiles, or other evil people are subhuman, your definition of “Nazi” can be expanded.” Was literally just thinking about that. I’m hanging onto that quote.
I've been seeing some peculiar beliefs in leftist spaces recently.
• Nazis are literally subhuman and deserve to die.
• Zionism is a Nazi movement
• All Jews are secretly zionists
To an outside observer, these beliefs can look innocent (I am far too guilty of number 1, honestly) but the problem is a lot of people believe all three. By the transitive property, they believe that all Jews are subhuman and deserve to die. That is a very familiar and terrifying sentiment to us Jews.
Be careful dehumanizing literally anyone. Once you accept that Nazis, or pedophiles, or other evil people are subhuman, your definition of "Nazi" can be expanded. It can even be expanded to include groups that were originally targeted in the Holocaust. Do better.
