I Don't WANT To Read Smut Right Now

I know alastor is the token character everybody makes fun of because he had that one awkward render but i actually love him as a character 😭

He looks really good in the show, the render everybody redrew other characters in made him look awkward, and as a character designer and artist i know why.

90% of it is the eyes. Their placement is awkward, and you cannot read him at all based on the expression. I know Alastor always smiles, but in the show you can tell what he feels based on his eyes. Here, you can’t. it’s almost cross eyed. Angel’s original render also has this issue.

However,

THIS ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER. The pose feels more authentic, like something he’d actually do in the show. He looks confident and clever, almost judgemental. Im so glad they updated all the renders.

I can't really say that I'm that proverbial crazy cat gal (cuz I think I don't qualify just yet), but I will say that somehow I see Alastor as more of a cat character than Husk and Husk is a damn cat. Which is not to say Husk is flawed in any way, it's just he's less expressive, I'd say, but I guess that's cuz he doesn't really like the fact that he's a cat, so, understandably, he just fails to give a proper fuck about it, so all in all cattitude is on point still
