So I headcanon that none of the 2012 gang have learned what autism is because they grew up in the sewers and Splinter neglected to teach them about neurodivergence. So Donnie (and Mikey, bc adhd) basically grew up with no proper accommodations. You can imagine Rise!Donnie’s absolute horror when he finds out about this.
