You are one of the main reasons that I ship JayDick now and I'm bitter but loving it
Jason & Dick ❤
Found a fic that was both age reversal Dick&Dami and Talon!Dick: You’ve Got So Much Heart by @dontfeedthebabytigers. A++ Brilliant idea.
in a wild abuse of the @jaydickweek time travel prompt, I went back in time and redrew an old picture that had been bugging me XD
A @batfamreversebigbang prompt for @flashthroughlight who wrote:
(DickDami, AU, slow burn, graphic depictions of violence)
Summary: Damian encounters Talon, an assassin of the fabled Court of Owls, while investigating a string of murders. When Damian fails at apprehending the Talon, he makes it his mission to find out as much as he can, even if it means bringing up ghosts of the past.
damian is like this is so stupid i do not need to be accompanied by two idiots
Dick is an acrobat, which means that, compared to the rest of the bats, he's one of the lighter ones. Additionally, since he was a trapeze artist, plus his years as Robin, this means he can always, ALWAYS, stick the landing. Jason, on the other hand, is the resident tank build, which means he's the heaviest with the most strength in the arms, rivalling that of Batman himself easily. With that in mind, I present my thesis. If Nightwing is annoying Red Hood, especially in front of Commissioner Gordon, Red Hood just throws Nightwing off of the building. While on the surface it seems cold hearted of Jason, he actually knows and trusts Dicks enough to know he'll be fine, and Dick could scurry away before Jason could grab him, but chooses not to. It's a way the brothers bond. Additionally, Jason sometimes does it around the manor, but only through open windows, because Alfred doesn't appreciate needing to replace them every week.
big brothers
Clark is literally just minding his business! Just walking down the hall, after an elevator interview with Luthor! And baby Dick Grayson immediately just fucking CLOCKS HIM as different. Didn't even see him rescue anyone! No amazing feats of strength! No super speed! No weird coincidences! Just Clark Kent walking down a hallway and Dick Grayson is immediately ALL THE HELL OVER HIM and he's RIGHT. And he knows when someone is cheating, he may not know how yet (alien with x-ray vision, to be fair, is a bit out there for his current level of experience), but that kid KNOWS WHEN SOMEONE IS CHEATING. Also, absolutely PHENOMENAL that, while Bruce apparently leaves Dick in the LEXCORP KIDZ-ZONE while he's busy, I'm sure Dick loved that, even at thirteen years old.
I recently read Nightwing #100 and the panel where Dick and Bruce hugged absolutely had my HEART
…Then I got the idea to redraw it but with Dick and Tim because I love them and their dynamic so much. I wanted to do it in Bruno Redondo’s style to keep true to the comic so…few hours later and theres this!
Please don’t repost without permission!
Your most recent post about Dick and Bruce reminds me of the song "Christmas Kids"
Like, "Ronnette, my dear, don't ever disappear. Do what you want as long as you stay here. I need you now, I love you so much more than you could know."
Sorry this is so random
AHHHHHHH Thank you for sharing this!
I had to go and listen to this song because I'd never heard of it but every lyric in it is so right!!
On top of that there's another line from the song, "If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie."
And instantly I was hit with this scene where Dick was visiting the circus after leaving behind Bruce and Bruce tracked Dick down, had someone disguised as a clown observe Dick, and then report back to him about everything Dick was doing.
Also the Ric to Dick comic panel were bruce is like-do you ever think I left you and it shows how he just followed Dick around everywhere all the time when he was Ric Grayson.
I love how the song ends with Ronnette's side where she basically goes-screw you, Phil, I'm getting out of this dark and dreary place and "you won't be able to find me".
But more importantly she calls the place a "prison cell." Which is exactly how I envision Dick's perspective on Bruce's constraints on his actions. Bruce used to hate when Dick spent time with the Titans vs him. There's a comic panel where Dick is speeding back to Gotham and he's like crap I'm late and he meets up with Batman and Batman is like "you're late."
Dick goes "I know." To which Bruce is like your sole responsibility should be with me, here in Gotham, if you can't do that, leave the titans.
Phil goes "You'll change your name or change your mind and leave this fucked up place behind...But I'll know, I'll know, I'll know, I'll know." Which is EXACTLY what happened with Nightwing creation and Batman's reaction.
There's a dark attachment Bruce has to Dick. When Dick did leave behind Robin, Bruce retaliated by putting another person in the Robin outfit and knowing Dick would hear about it. He openly admits it too, his pettiness. It felt, very much felt like the vibe of someone screaming "I hate you" in an argument and when the other person leaves, they're on their knees crying for them to come back. Ofcourse they would never admit it to them because their pride would never let them. Bruce and Dick's relationship is like a tug of war of power.
The song is PERFECT anon!

Boravia’s grand casino, once a hotbed of European crime, has reopened with a high-stakes poker tournament Bruce Wayne suspects may be the work of Roulette. In a country where superheroes are banned, the only way to foil a criminal conspiracy is to enter the tournament as himself, and play his way up to the top.
But not just any card-playing billionaire can get his name on the list. The real price of admission is a lot higher than the two million dollar buy-in. You also need a secret to offer up as your stake. A dirty one. The kind a man like Bruce Wayne would pay dearly to keep quiet.
Enter Dick Grayson.
Though he agrees to accompany Bruce to the tournament in the guise of his illicit lover, to help him fake a blackmail-worthy secret besides the one with masks and capes, Dick’s not wild about spending so much time with his old friend in flirtatious playboy mode; but somehow it’s harder than expected to watch Bruce direct that legendary charisma at other people, and Dick doesn’t quite know why. Over the course of four days, what began as a straightforward undercover job devolves into a messy emotional tangle which forces both men to confront truths they’ve kept hidden for years … even from themselves.

bruce/dick ... hmmm... flowershop AU?
At this time of day, the sun's rays pierced through the glass to illuminate the flower shop with a soft glow. Dick was too busy putting together a bouquet of roses to notice him, but that was alright, Bruce didn't want to disturb him either way. Instead, he watched silently as Dick worked - admired the small unconscious smile playing on his lips and the way his hands moved.
Bruce hasn't seen him so completely at ease in a long time. He imagined that Dick was humming quietly while working, maybe one of those songs his mother used to sing him that the words of were long forgotten by time, and for a moment he wanted to get inside the shop, just to see if he's right. Just to hear Dick hum the song, to close his eyes and listen.
But then he would disturb Dick's peace; that blissful state of calmness that only acrobatics and being among flowers managed to put him into. So for now Bruce was alright with just admiring him from a distance, like one does with a flower so beautiful they're afraid to touch in fear of damaging it.
It was a good comparison, but Bruce knew well that Dick didn't want to be just something to look at. No, Dick was like a sunflower that always followed the sun, that always looked for praise and tender touch, for love. And he chose Bruce to be his sun, to be the one he loved and was loved by in turn.
But the truth was, even a sunflower can suffer from too much sun.
They haven't really seen each other since the time Dick stormed out of the Manor after their last fight. Dick didn't call him and Bruce didn't try to contact him either, wanting to give Dick some space. But how easy would it be to just open the flower shop's door now and walk inside, to gently cup Dick's face in his hand and apologize. To lean down and press their lips together in a kiss as sweet as the scent of flowers around. No calls or texts would be needed - Dick was here, right in front of him. All he had to do was-
"Mr. Wayne, we have to keep going. Would you like me to order some flowers for you later?"
Bruce wet his lips nervously, forcing himself to look away from Dick.
"No, there's no need." He said. "Let's go."

Thank you anon, hope you like it!!
