I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you let something slide because you were too shocked to react in the moment, you can bring it up the next time you talk to that person, you can text them, you can let them know it won’t slide again in the future. you don’t have to just accept that behavior indefinitely because you couldn’t gather your thoughts to say it made you uncomfortable when it first happened. you’re not making anything awkward, you are giving someone an opportunity to show care for you, and telling them you trust them enough to change their behavior. there is literally nothing wrong or bad with voicing discomfort even if the moment has already passed.
i did the cover for @jdlogbook ! POs opened today so please check it out…! ^^
employees should be allowed to steal, actually
I truly hate the word "unalive." There are so many other euphemisms that fictional Italian mobsters worked so hard to provide you with and you just ignore them.
some antipsychotics can make you more susceptible to heat exhaustion because they make it so your body cannot regulate your body temperature correctly. I learned this the hard way last summer, I got really nasty heat exhaustion while on a high dose of quetiapine. so check if your meds react badly to heat, and if they do, please be sure to wear your sunscreen, have light cover ups on or with you, wear a hat, and stay hydrated! be safe
Alright, i notice a lot of you have the Generic Tumblr Icons and- in case you dont know- Tumblr has a bad case of Bots so every once in awhile, creators and other blog owners will do a purge.
What do we do in the purge?
We block any and all Bots
It used to be easy but now- not so much
Let me show you a common Bot
Nothing on their page, with a standard icon.
Now, a year or two ago, i know this is a bot and i can block em, done deal!
But now-
I see Ikarus, i think they are a bot
Its the same right down to their posts. No reblogs, but it differs on the likes and follows
But this? This is not good.
Not only are you not supporting your content creators by reblogging their items, but it makes it so hard for those creators not to block you.
And shabang- you end up with a creator blocking you with no idea why.
If you have a standard icon, please reblog from your favorite creators- we're on tumblr, no one cares about the weird shit you like or reblog, and if they do- the block button is there :)
But the first thing to do to get off the block list, is to change your icon. And i'll show you how on Mobile.
Take note, i am an android user, but the process is similar for Apple
Head to your blog, and at the top right corner, you will see a little pallette. This is the universal edit me for your blogs where you can change color and font
Now you can see what i can edit and what's available, my icon and banner, my background and accent, but for now, lets focus on that icon!
This box will appear, you can choose to not show your avatar/Icon, and the shape of a Square or Circle, that's up to you, but for now Choose a photo and use any of which you like! You can zoom in on a photo to get a single character or not, that's up to you.
Tumblr offers many icon sets if you'd like, my suggestion is to not use an IRL photo.
1. Cause its the internet
And 2. You'll still maybe be banned cause a lot of Porn Bots and 'Sugar Daddy Bots' use IRL photos. Like below
Just keep it in mind, and have a fun time changing your icon to suit you!

Guys I know we all love AO3 for hosting our fanfiction, and the OTW for defending our right to create it. But please remember that they can only do so as long as the fanfiction is shared for free.
I know a lot of writers (and artists) will do fic commissions or submissions to fanzines (free and paid). But you cannot mention the fic was paid for on Ao3. This includes for charity drives where the writers don't keep anything! Ao3 staff has stated this explicitly in the past.
And please, please, do not run a charity drive or zine where the recipient of the proceeds is Ao3/OTW. You are publicly exposing them to legal attack for funding them by selling fanworks! You can't even mention that you do that on Ao3, do not then make a paper trail right to them!
And keep any mention of your paid work off your Ao3. No links to commissions or patreons or ko-fis or notes that the work was commissioned, or even links to author stores of unrelated books. All of these are prohibited by Ao3 itself in order to protect fan creators and their works.
Fanworks for profit is a sticky legal place, don't make the OTW's job of defending us harder or even impossible by paying them with fanwork proceeds.
