sunsets/rises in watercolour. The last one wasn't very successful as a painting of the sky (looks like a tornado, not supposed to) but I do love the colours
Aerial Embroidery Landscapes 2019-2024
Victoria Rose Richards is an Autistic biology graduate and embroidery artist from Devon, UK. The geometric shapes and textures she sees in nature, inspire her embroidered aerial views and abstract landscapes. "I've lived in rural Devon my whole life and being constantly surrounded by the landscapes here means theyâve had a huge influence on my art. The patchwork fields, clusters of trees, forests, winding rivers and countryside roads and the main aspects of all my landscapes."
I marveled at her fine craftsmanship, the color scheme and layout of her embroidery was perfect, and the textures were exquisite upon close inspection, it takes a lot of patience to accomplish such work, and I need to learn more about it when I create my sculpture paintings.

I spent my holidays hiking the Kungsleden in Sweden with a dear friend :D! Not all of it, mind you, coz that's 450 km and we only had time for 250, and then another 50 away from the trail for good measure. But contrary to previous hiking holidays we took a more relaxed approach, which meant that I got the opportunity to paint some <3! Aside from the fact that getting the old watercolour muscles back into shape a bit is nice, I also find that painting is a much more personal and accurate way of memorizing what I saw and felt. Do any of you guys feel the same?
this was a race against time lol you don't realize how fast the sun sets until you're trying to paint it

âI donât want to lose. I donât want to compete with strangers. I donât want to fight. I know Iâll lose. Iâm a coward, wasting my life like this. Can you⌠Can you become friends with a person like me?â
Impressions from my trip to Greece :^)
ID: Two watercolour sketchbook drawings posted vertically. The first one focuses on a green hill with castle ruins on the very top, blue sky and many big, billowing clouds behind it. The foreground, which is much closer to the viewer, shows two pencil outlines of buildings surrounded by greenery. The tree on the right stands out in particular as it has long, spiky leaves and red flowers. The second drawing shows a calm blue sea and several rocks and islets in varying shapes, all white with greenery on top. There is a single reddish buoy floating in the sea. A larger, entirely green island can be seen behind, on a background of blue mountains. End ID

Damaged watercolour paper is still good enough for studies (and yes, I somehow -unintentionally- end up with smiley-faces in my paintings a lot.)
