It was worth a wound;
It was worth many wounds;
To know the depth of loyalty
And love
Which lay behind that cold mask.
heyyyy do you have any details/sources for the ca*ill being a jackass thing? ngl i watch twn for yen and jaskier so i was already planning on continuing to season 4 but i'd love some reasons to be actively excited for the actor switch. but i haven't kept up on the behind-the-scenes stuff so i'm kinda lost on that front if you're up for sharing any of what you know!
okay guys buckle up this is THE anti henry cavill megathread xoxo
First of all him dating a teenager as a 33 year old fully grown man literally gross and disgusting.
Also as this quote implies they started dating a year prior and only went public when she was 19 so they supposedly started dating when she was 18.
His entire dating history is a MESS. Sure the women he dated are not him, but he chose to date them, I wouldn't even associate myself with people like these let alone be in a relationship with them. He dated the infamous transphobic TERF Gina Carano, albeit before her loud controversy, but I doubt her harmful views were any different back then. His current gf has a history of doing black face.
His "Me Too" comments.
His comments on the Me Too movement are literally so vile. If you donât want to be called a rapist, just donât rape women, itâs literally as simple as that. Theyâre even more foul because theyâre promoting the idea that women lie about their abusive for fame, promoting that harmful rhetoric especially in our times is incredibly dangerous.
Now onto his on set behavior.
We can't talk about his set behavior without mentioning the deuxmoi set leak. Here's the transcript of it:

Thereâs something I really really wanted to read to you guys--it has to do with why Henry Cavill left The Witcher. I know that was something that you guys were super interested in when it happened, and I just recently got this message. Somebody was like âHey, do you want to know what really went down?â And I was like âSure!â So let me just read it. It says:
âAt the beginning of the show, Henry was good to work with. A lot of difficult demands that made people feel like he wasnât a team player, but thatâs not unusual for a really big star. Though in TV it truly usually doesnât happen until the second season. But in season two and three something shifted and he became really impossible for women to work with, which is always a big problem, but even worse here because the showrunner is a woman. He would try to overrule her and try to get changes made last minute across the board without her knowledge, which, if you know anything about showrunning, is completely fucked. The showrunner has to sign off on every miniscule detail down to the buttons on a costume. Female writers and directors were suddenly being completely ignored on set, unable to do their jobs. Every department head was complaining. He started making commentsâit wasnât a sexual thing, he wasnât grabbing anyone or being lewd, but it was disrespectful and toxic all the same.
âHe is deeply addicted to video games, to the point where it was like working with any other addict. He was distracted, he was late, he was obsessive, and a lot of people think the misogyny came from gamer world. Video game bro language is not how you talk to coworkers, and he wouldnât stop. Someone on the show compared it to watching someone get brainwashed by QAnon, like his whole personality shifted. Eventually his disrespect escalated. He would rewrite scenes without even alerting the other actors in the scenes until it was time to shoot. He decided that he didnât want any romantic scenes at allâno kissing scenes, no shirtless scenes, et cetera. He wanted complete control of storylines but really had no idea of the limitations of TV, structure, budget, et cetera. He formed a weird alliance with one writer who was also a gamer, who eventually got fired after multiple HR complaints were made and after that writer left, Henry did anything he could to hold up production and cause problems.
âEventually top brass at Netflix was tired of him costing them money with delays and HR investigations and the showrunner was asked to construct a potential exit for him. Netflix reached out to him personally and he was given one final warning, and violated that warning with an email he sent to the entire writing staff right after that meeting. That was it. Itâs very disappointing.â

Now believe me or not, but I know from a really good source that the leak was indeed real.
There's a lot of patterned behavior that tracks with what we know of him and his past controversies.
After that leak came out, there was a lot of people from different places coming to comment that âyesâ theyâve heard a very similar story adding a little bit more details of their own.
this quickly deleted tweet from one of the writers/producers:
there were rumors about him being an asshole to Anya specifically.
He went on record that he doesn't "understand" sex scenes. Which I know the sex discourse is rampant nowadays and each to their own, but he specifically signed up for a role that requires those scenes and then refused to do them and was allegedly nasty to Anya about it and with the way he talks about women...
Also itâs important to touch upon the âwriter he had a weird alliance withâ that man in question is Beau DeMayo of the recent fame of getting fired by Marvel from X-Men â97. He was previously allegedly fired from The Witcher for being emotionally and physically abusive. And he allegedly got fired from X-Men for being abusive as well. One of The Witcher writers tweeted this after Beau smeared them for âdisliking the booksâ Beau was literally the first person to start that narrative.
The fact that it was HIS idea not to say lines of his dialogue in S1 and instead grunt. To the point that Joey had to take Henryâs lines and make it his own, so the plot would make sense, he talks about it in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=Oyh0t117t0U&, and then once S2 press arrived Henry was talking about how he was trying to fight the big bad writers to give him more lines. Ridiculous.
Everyone is already pointing out that the cast looks so much happier without him, and itâs very true. Henry was never present on close to any BTS pics from filming the previous seasons, or on any cast dinners or birthdays. He wouldn't even do any shared interviews with the other three mains but only had solo interviews which to me was giving disrespectful like you're an ensemble youâre not the only lead here. It felt like he was above them to sit down and answer questions with them. When they were doing press junkets in Brazil and Poland Anya, Joey and Freya would always arrive together and leave together with that man leaving all the events early and by himself. And like people who post quotes from the cast about him being perfect from press junkets as âproofâ are insane to me like Obviously theyâre going to say nice things about him, not only they're newcomers, and he's an established industry name, but theyâre doing PRESS for a show that heâs a STAR of (well, was lmao)
The fact that he never defended Anya from the racist trolls, even though most of them were HIS fans. Like she had to go through so much and that man couldnât make a single comment about it as a leading man BUT he could make a whole IG post because people were being mean to his gf and calling her out for doing blackface.
And sure people might say that a lot of these are unverified sources, and Iâd get it if it was a singular case, but there are a ton of these accounts that all match each other. Where thereâs smoke, thereâs fire.
Not a date Married to the job
Took me longer, then I wanted to :D Hope you like it
âYou know, this isnât a date. No need to be that nervous,â explains Sherlock, clearing his throat and looking out the taxi window again. His fingers drum restlessly on his thigh. Again and again he looks nervously at YN, who is sitting next to him. For a moment she looks at Sherlock, shaking her head and plucking her dark red dress thoughtfully. He is of course nervous about the case. It is the excitement that has caught his attention; the thrill that he can expect.
She understands itâs not a date. And yet sheâs nervous. She feels uncomfortable in this dress; this is not like her. This restaurant isnât right for her, and the fact that Sherlockâs taking her to dinner is even less fitting. She tries to scare away the negative thoughts and looks forward to the food, which according to Sherlock is supposed to be very tasty.
Two days ago, when he invited her to dinner in this noble restaurant, she wanted to lynch him. Sherlock had stood outside her door without warning; in the evening at 11 pm. He had rung the doorbell dozens of times so that YN almost fell off the couch she had fallen asleep on before. She hadnât opened the door properly yet, when Sherlock had already asked his question. YN had not understood a word at first because he had talked much too fast. She had only looked at him questioningly with tired eyes. When he then repeated his question, rolling his eyes, she was initially frozen in terror. She was so surprised by the question that she had only stuttering words for him.
Again and again he had explained to her in the last 48 hours that this is only necessary to solve a case. He was particularly keen to make it clear that this was not a date. The two have been friends for over two years now and YN had helped him more than once because of a case. At first out of emergency because John couldnât find a babysitter for Rosie. But as time went on he ended up asking YN for help more and more often.
And she enjoyed it. Even though Sherlock is not easy to handle sometimes, she gets along with him surprisingly well. Also if his words sometimes make him look like a bull in a china shop. The two harmonise on a different level than Sherlock and John. A level that Sherlock has never known before. John is his best friend, thereâs no question about it.
But YN has managed to climb the walls that Sherlock has built around him in a very short time. Her understanding of him and the way she treats him; all this is unique and above all new for Sherlock. Even though she knows that it is certainly not a date, she finds it increasingly difficult not to give in to this thought. Itâs all for show.
*
Sherlockâs gaze wanders again and again to the people sitting at the table behind YN. The conversation that Sherlock and YN are forced to have can safely be considered pointless. Talking about the weather, about the latest news, YN has never been so bored when she has been talking to Sherlock. Usually their conversations consist of trying to work out the nature and motive for a murder. She would have preferred to talk about the cut up body last week rather than such boring things.
As a result, she is not distracted enough from the negative thoughts that are going up in her mind. She pays more and more attention to how the people around behave and tries to interpret whether the laughter at the next table is due to a clumsiness on her part. YN looks around nervously. She never thought that she would ever sit in such a noble place. Thoughtfully, she reaches for the wine glass in front of her with a sigh and looks at the many cutlery items in front of her. In the middle of the table there is a candle whose light is reflected by the silver surface of the countless knives, forks and spoons. Her heart seems to beat louder and louder in her chest as she tries to remember in which order to use the cutlery. She is so nervous that she feels sick and has had to force herself to eat the starter, even though she hasnât really eaten much that day. In general she feels quite out of place. She is surrounded by all these posh people who seem to feel very happy here.
But for YN itâs the sheer horror. She hardly moves at all, for fear of acting stupid. The fear that everyone could see that her dress is only borrowed grows by every minute. She unintentionally increases her fears more and more and thinks about how to get out of the restaurant as soon as possible. She would probably knock over her glass of red wine, the contents would ruin the white dress of the woman at the table next door and everyone here would make it clear to her with disparaging looks that she doesnât belong here.
She is so steeped in her fear that she doesnât notice her breath getting faster and faster and her gaze wandering more and more restlessly around the table. Her heart seems to stop for a moment when she suddenly feels Sherlockâs hand on hers. As if in slow motion, she notices him grasping her hand and gently stroking the back of her hand with his thumb while he smiles softly at her. Only then she realizes that her own hand is freezing cold and trembling. She looks at the glass and stares at the red wine in it. Her hands are sweaty, her heart is racing, as are her thoughts. Like a carousel spinning much too fast.
Itâs not a date, itâs just for a case.
Again and again she recalls this sentence like a mantra in her thoughts while staring at his hand that holds hers much too soft. Uncertainly, she looks at Sherlock and shakes her head for a second when she realises that she really enjoys the feeling of his skin on hers.
âEverything´s ok?â asks Sherlock calmly and looks thoughtfully at YN. Only after a moment her brain has managed to realize his question. She hectically nods in reply. Determined, she tremblingly lifts the wine glass and finally empties it in one go. His grip becomes firmer for a moment and his gaze seems really worried.âAre you sure?â asks Sherlock cautiously and YN laughs uncertainly for a moment. Clearing her throat, she pulls her hand out of his grip and breathes out quietly while staring at the napkin in her lap and tugging at it like a madman. âYes, thanks. I´m fine. Itâs just all a bit weird for me,â she says quietly and just wishes that this evening would pass as quickly as possible.
She shrinks as the waiter serves the plate over her right side. She thanks him shortly and stares thoughtfully at the plate. The food on it really looks very tasty, even if not a toddler would be satisfied with the portion. She raises slowly her hand from her lap and wants to reach for the cutlery. She has to start a few times, because the fear to grab the wrong one is just too big. She exhales puffing, and freezes as Sherlock grabs her hand again.
She looks at him with a wet look and he just smiles. For a moment she gets angry because she thinks that he is going to make fun of her. But instead of bursting into laughter, Sherlock observes her for a moment and then gets up from his chair. As he stands next to YN, he offers her his hand as a request to do the same. But YN just looks at him questioningly. âCome on, letâs go. I have all the information I need. We donât have to stay hereâ he winks at her and asks her to stand up again.  YN laughs quietly for a moment and finally grabs the napkin on her lap to put it on the table. It doesnât take a minute until one of the waiters notices the two of them leaving and comes straight towards them. âIs everything all right? Is something wrong with the food?â the young man asks anxiously and calls directly for the waiter who had served them. âNo, everything is fine. My girlfriend isnât feeling well at the moment, you know?â explains Sherlock with a friendly smile as he puts his hand gently on her belly and winks at the man. When this realises what Holmes is trying to tell him, his eyes widen in surprise and he looks skeptically at the table where the two had sit. Shaking his head he goes to the wardrobe to fetch the coats of the two of them.  Stunned, YN stares at Sherlock and doesn´t say a word. His warm hand on her belly gives her body a tingling sensation that she can hardly ignore. Even when he helps her into her coat and has paid the bill, she is still shocked to the point that she only manages to wake up from her rigidity when they have leaved the restaurant.
âWhat the hell was that about?â she asks pissed and stops for a moment on the dark street. Sherlock, on the other hand, grins and finally breaks out into a dark chuckle. âDid you see his face?â He laughs again and again and wants to go on, but YN stops on the spot and becomes more and more angry.âOf course I saw his face! A âpregnantâ woman emptying a glass of red wine in one go? You know how those guys in the restaurant are always watching you?â YN now scolds louder, and Sherlock goes back again until he is in front of YN.âSo what? You will never see these people again,â he says appeasingly and holds her gently by her shoulders . But YN goes back a bit and only shakes her head. âYou know what? Actually it was a very realistic date. I put on clothes that I donât feel comfortable in; go to restaurants where you canât get satisfied with a five-course meal; and as expected, it ends in disaster. Hope your wife doesnât get too jealousâ she throws at Sherlock and turns around because she wants to leave.
âWhat wife?â asks Sherlock in surprise, and YN turns around, panting. âYour work, you moron! You donât want dates because youâre married to your fucking work! Thatâs OK. Iâm fine with that. But please donât make me feel like youâre interested in me. Stop holding my hand and above all, donât ever touch my belly again. You know what? Just never ask me for a favor like that again. Next time, just ask Molly. Sheâll be happy to have dinner with youâ. With wet eyes she looks angrily at Sherlock and when he doesnât return a word, she closes her eyes cursing and turns around. All the anger, fear and feelings that had accumulated in the last few hours have broken out of her.
Sherlock watches after her, unable to find the words that would be important. So he follows her in silence. But already after a few hundred feet YN stops annoyed and turns to Sherlock.âWhat do you want, Sherlock? Just leave me aloneâŚâ, her voice is much calmer now, but you can hear that she is hurt. Her eyes are sad and Sherlock is still struggling to find the right words.
â Chips?â Sherlock finally asks in an innocent way and YN freezes in her movement. With an unwanted laugh she finally stops and looks for a moment into the black night sky. âA method of preparing potatoes. Are we going to play Jeopardy?â she asks with hesitation and has to laugh. Fortunately she doesnât seem as annoyed as she did a few minutes ago. âWould you like some? I know a place where you can get really tasty onesâ asks Sherlock carefully and takes another step towards YN.âDonât get mad at me, but Iâ m not in the mood for a fake date anymore. I just want to go home and get out of this stupid dressâ she looks apologising to Sherlock, who just smiles at her.âNo fake date. I was talking to my wife. She has agreed for a dateâ YN has to reflect about Sherlockâs words for a moment and then bursts out in a burst of laughter.âA real date, then?â YN asks seriously as she stopped laughing. Sherlock just shrugs his shoulders and nods in response.âSo: chips at a takeaway in a 1200 pound dress and high heels? Is this really ok?â she crosses her arms in front of her chest and gives Sherlock a piercing look. âIsnât that how dating works? You eat something together and have fun?â a questioning look hits Sherlock and they both have to laugh. âYes, I suppose it can be accepted,â YN notices and hooks herself into Sherlockâs arm.
forgive the version of you that didnât know any better
