everytime i remember how miles mentioned that one time that freezerburn is the couple that would ultimately end up divorced i start to tear up why is everyone praying for my queens downfall😔🫶🏻💔

had a vision ( i use glasses )

immediately want to follow up with part two cuz i’m still shaking with excitement (once again spoilers for season 1 of 86)

the next moments will be these two ones because the way the shots are framed make them look like two sides of the same coin in a sense and if you replace the faces behind the words and just read what they’re saying it would be really hard to point out who is saying what in these two scenes because the other one is surely thinking it

when we first see lena shes all prim and proper dedicated to her job an idealist who never really saw the real world behind the walls and her hat is the indication of that always worn or always at her side while all the other officers who never really took that job seriously to begin with clearly dont seem to care about the stupid hat

but the more rules she breaks more principles she shatters the more her hat shifts and falls she keeps losing it until she finally abandons it completely letting go of every principle she lived by before

i MIGHT be imagining this but i also think that everytime she challenges the authority her hat is always absent lost somewhere and only worn when she loses her battles i won’t be checking that tho ehe :P

just started watching 86 and i’m ECSTATIC this show is soo good i could even say it’s the first show that truly caught my undivided attention since rwby and i wanna talk about the camera work and artistic choices made by the animators and directors specifically and how using very little you can say so much (obviously spoilers for season 1)

first is this moment and is probably the reason why i’m writing all of this in the first place

the shot lines every character to his gun as a sign of a job yet to finish (since he’s the reaper and it’s his job) and then moves to him standing alone amidst the machines cuz hes "always alone" (do i even need to confirm that every single character from the screenshot is in fact dead)

this moment i also found peculiar cuz it establishes lena’s actual place in the republican army’s hierarchy camera moves in such a way to position her lower ever so slowly to almost push her from her “high” when she loses more and more power in the argument and then there’s the spike at her throat when she’s threatened directly

as if to gun the nail in the coffin we see her plans she prepared to keep the 86 safe to help them fade into and get eventually covered by the "order" she was given

the last moment that i can fit in this post is this one it could totally mean nothing but it’s almost like them both moving into the rain is them “dirtying their hands” in a sense now they’re BOTH involved and there’s no turning back
