Yuuram in Novel 11

So Yuuri and Wolfram are in completely separate places, but I want you to notice how in the scenes with other characters the ‘Dacascos and Adalbert’ scene, and ‘Anissina and Greta’, they all talk about Yuuri and Wolfram as partners, good match/ideal partners, etc. Then, there’s Yuuri who’s constantly thinking of Wolfram (especially when he’s not well)

“But with such bad turbulence, even people other than Wolf would find it hard, right? I don’t usually get seasick, but now my stomach’s all bloated, and I feel like I’m going to vo-vo-vo-vomit—Mph!”

Before tragedy can strike, I clasp my hand over my mouth, my throat full of bitterness. Thank goodness I didn’t just eat.

As expected of Gisela, not only does she watch Wolfram, who’s imagining a crazy drunk Grantz, expressionlessly, she’s also remembering the rumors on the street about Lord von Bielefeld at the same time. He may look cute, but he has a shocking alcohol tolerance, and he doesn’t go crazy after he gets drunk either, could that be true? She wants to verify the validity of this rumor. Compared to that adopted father of hers, who strips stark naked, wears his underwear on his head and starts dancing madly whenever he drinks, she wonders, who’ll be more fun when they’re drunk?

“Although he’s only sixteen, I heard that his love life is really colorful! I don’t know if it’s true or false, but I heard that he got engaged to the previous Maou’s third son a long time ago?”

“That’s right, that’s true. That’s why His Excellency Günter’s nose ran like a river, and he cried while biting onto his handkerchief! But most of the people are happy to see it. In the bet for His Majesty’s affections, His Excellency Wolfram is rather popular too. But that’s unsurprising, since they’re such a good match! Aiya, like that time when the two of them were hiding together in the fruit carton, I thought they were some foreign dolls and couldn’t look away! But I spent three month’s worth of salary to bet on His Excellency Günter—I’ll just take it as my congratulatory present for them.”

“Don’t act so violently in front of children, look how scared Greta is. I understand your hopes and concerns for your little brother. But these things happen in the world, situations when you’ve done your all and things still don’t go your way. Some people are just that unlucky, so all you can say is that he’s born under an unlucky star.”

“Is Wolfram the Little Prince (/Prince from the Stars)?”

The little girl asks, her voice nasally as she holds back tears.

After releasing her childhood friend’s hand, Anissina smile brightly at Greta,

“Maybe? But maybe not. Wolfram may be the Little Prince, but he might not be a king. However that doesn’t have to be an unlucky thing, Greta. Even if he can’t win on his own, if he has the most ideal partner, and he’s standing by his side, they can bring out a power that’s stronger than his innate strength.”

“I’m guessing it might because I’m too wound up. Rather than call it gastric pains… it’s more like I ate too much and feel tight in my chest.”

“Could it be a cold? Maybe you were too worn out that time when we were drifting on the sea.”

And sometimes I get headaches and horrible chills too, very evidently the pre-symptoms of a cold.

(…) And I deduce that this sense of discomfort isn’t a cold, but due to pressure.

I’ve been in a series of emergency situations since Small Shimaron, and I didn’t have any friends during the trip. Josak is definitely a comrade I can rely on, and is a trustworthy guard, but that’s different from the sense of safety Wolfram gives me. Because we can’t banter with each other, and comfort each other.

Even though I perfectly knew that we were both guys, being pursued by such a beautiful boy like him still caused my heart to skip a few beats. At times like this, the most effective solution was to avoid looking at his face and keep chanting “He is 82 years old” like a mantra.

This isn’t how that scene went, but this is the mental image that I got when I read that part in the novel.  Oh, Yuuri.

Also, I’ve started reading the novels!  They’re a lot of fun.  Many, many thanks to the people translating them.

[Gift of Peony] scene from MDZS novel. I tend to draw XuanYu WiFi more and not Wei Ying himself cuz whenever I draw him (like in this one) I can’t help but think this beautiful person perished horribly Orz I appreciate that he got a second chance from Mo XuanYu but still….*sad*

*Someone told me this scene was in the latest English translated chapter. What nice timing then. I had no idea  XD

I did exactly that. I started with the anime. I loved the Royal Couple so much that I wanted more content and so I got to know about the manga(since I'm not a LN reader). Then I found out a few artwork which were done by Temari-sensei and turned out to be the novel illustrations. I was that of Wolf and Yuuri from Seisakoku arc and I just couldn't contain my curiosity when I realised there is more content. So went ahead and read the Novels from the Seisakoku arc. Then after finishing it and realising the character difference and the amazing work of Takabayashi-sensei I went ahead and read the whole LN from Vol 1 to 17 again. It was highly satisfying!! It is a beautiful work! Truly a masterpiece! With the characters and story line being so wonderfully unique and entertaining in its own way. And the LN is dark!! It is so good that way.

Is this show done? How about the novels its 2019 and i just started watchingthe anime.where does the anime leave off in regards to the manga/novel

Anime and manga are finished, the novels aren’t (although the story line is way ahead of the others).

In my personal opinion watch the anime first, then read the manga , lastly read the novels, so you go from worst to best format.(If you read the novels first it will be impossible to watch the anime.)After about chapter 40 in the anime, it goes its own way separate from the novels. Same with the manga after chapter 96.Both of these take place at the end of the Caloria arc (novel 8).If you really can’t be bothered to read the early novels (which are completely different and so much better than anything else in this series), then read novel 8, to sorta understand where in the anime/manga you left off, and then start with novel 9 (Seisakoku arc) for new material. You will be missing out on: 1) Yuuri being a completely different character   2) Wolfram’s character development. 3) The yuuram relationship development. But hey, if you wanna skip everything that’s good in this series is up to you.Cheers!

The part about Yuuri and Wolfram belonging to Greta before themselves is so true and so sweet♡

The daughter of Izura, the daughter of Svelera, the daughter of the demon king.. dear little Greta.

Much went wrong very early in her life. All she wanted was to belong to someone. But being the daughter of an entire country meant something very different- it did not mean love and comfort, but responsibility and an impossible task of proving oneself worthy of love. Thankfully, that painful journey led her back to her childhood. And it brought her two fathers closer together to create a family - before Yuuri and Wolfram belonged to each other, they belonged to Greta.

Down that road from outside the Bloodpledge castle where Huber left her to inside the heart of everyone that lived in it, Greta found where she belonged.

PS: this is what I think Greta looks like, all grown up. ❤

PPS: I'm not too good with drawing anime characters (or anything else, really) and I'm just too scared to even attempt for fear of messing them up. But I tried anyway. 😅🙈

I am overwhelmed. And really glad that Yuuki finally got to have such a lovely family and be happy. Even Maki. I love her character. I am so glad Mutsuki is their son- well I think it should be more like, they raised him well.

But I wish them a happy life.

What a sweet chapter. Even without directly showing the old cast this series manages to say a lot about them

A day like today 20 years ago the first novel of our beloved series was published in November 2000. This is an incredible anniversary and that’s why we’ll celebrate the whole month with events! 

I hope you can join this special occasion and contribute a little bit by sharing your posts and art here in tumblr.

Nice analysis! But yeah the perfumes are awesome! And I seriously want one! If only I was that lucky...

Perfume fragrances have been announced in @maruma_official twitter account. 

These are the promotional images for Yuuri, Wolf and Conrar including a small illustration. 

We got a really good close up detailed pic of Wolf’s golden wings, and also Conrart’s sword decorations.

There’s no announcement of other characters and I personally doubt they’ll make anything else besides them.
