I am Ahmed Jehad, I am 28 years old. I am married and have a daughter who is less than a year old. I live in Gaza in a displacement tent in Deir al-Balah, I lost shelter and a source of income.
My house was destroyed in Khan Yunis and I was displaced more than 3 times fleeing from the massacres. I am trying to protect my family from this devastating war.

its been p common knowledge for decades that light pollution can be massively reduced by just putting shades on streetlamps, and that doing that would save energy, help wildlife, and let us see the stars better, but are society says if u wanna change any minor little tiny thing u gotta dedicate ur whole life to campaigning for it and this is a good ways down the list of priorities for most ppl, so instead i gotta walk past newly-installed streetlamps that are just dumb glass globes that use half their electricity to blast half their light directly into the sky where it does only bad things for no reason and think "we should overthrow the government"

One of my favorite things about Izuku’s character is what a great great example he is of the whole concept of “maybe you don’t have anything wrong with you and the people around you just suck”
Because after middle school when he’s no longer around the same people who have homogeneously decided he sucks he’s almost instantly loved by everyone he meets and quickly wins over every person who doubts him
He’s the same shy, teary eyed, spunky, go getter he has always had been, but he’s no longer being suppressed by people pigeon holing him as the weird kid
The only people he really has to try to win over are those who for one reason or another(valid or invalid) equate “strength” with importance, like Aizawa, Todoroki’s, All Might, Eri, Iida, and Sir.
They all have reasons for their doubts and why they value strength above other traits and why that strength needs to be proven, but it doesn’t take Deku long to prove himself to them and often even nudges them towards understanding the traits they really value hidden under broad idea of quirk strength.
More often than not he did it in ways that weren’t inherently tied to his quirk and are more so about his tenacity, clever mind, and kindness.
Sometimes you are buried under a history you had little say in writing, but you can always grow out from underneath it to find the sun
