AU where Tubbo goes to see the Egg either before or after he and Tommy originally go. And this time, instead of just being mean to him, the Egg decides to infect him.
But not to control him. No, the Egg takes a different route-after all, it wouldn’t do if it’s champion had too many doubts, and the boy will be an excellent example of what ‘good’ it can do. As it’s vines and flowers bloom on his skin, Tubbo feels all his sadness being drained from him. All his anger, all his pain, all his fear. It’s ripped from him, leaving him with a hollow sort of happiness.
And nothing else.
After that, the Egg lets him go. It has no more use for him, at the moment, so he’s free to wander the server, and do whatever he wants.
Maybe Skeppy follows after him, in a similar sort of situation. He was the first to be infected, but he was more of a test than anything. Empty as it is, he does feel a sort of kinship with Tubbo, having gone through something similar.
The friendship is hollow-hollow like them, because that’s all that’s left, really. Hollow, like Tubbo’s absent smile. Hollow like Skeppy’s passion.
Hollow pawns, wandering the server, not able to truly understand the horror in everyone’s eyes as they catch sight of them.
AU where Dream does manage to escape prison in the confusion of reviving Wilbur, and his first act? Taking Tubbo’s last life. After all, who better as a bargaining chip? He’s so quick to endear himself to people, even with all the mistrust and anger, so many still care for him.
So what would they do in return for his revival?
Unfortunately, Dream’s plans quickly go astray. Quackity, among those people to care for the young, recalls the times of Manberg, and their Cabinet’s solidarity.
Using the revival book, he brings Tubbo back, and makes him part of a scheme that’ll put Dream down for good.
To the server, Tubbo is dead.
And that means Dragonfly is free to have his playing grounds. Dream never should have bet his life in this game, because now?
Well, checkmate.
Or, Quackity revives Tubbo after Dream kills him, and the two plot to kill the server’s tormentor for good, by making him continue to believe Tubbo dead, so Tubbo can work from the shadows.
It’s not easy, with both Wilbur and Tommy seeming to be able to sense him somewhat(even if they don’t know it’s him), and people mourning, but it’s worth it.
Especially after Dream’s plan to bargain his life back to them fails when it becomes apparent that, for whatever reason, he can’t, infuriating Tommy and Ranboo especially.
Soon to join the Casino Schemers, are Mexican Dream(Quackity’s cousin) and Schlatt(Tubbo’s uncle). They are…surprisingly ruthless.
Well, in MD’s case, that is. Considering Schlatt had Tubbo decorate his own execution, and exiled his best friend and brother, he’s well aware of just how ruthless he can be.
He’s completely over that, whatever do you mean.
Watching all his friends and family think he’s dead and having to deal with the side effects of revival kind of suck, honestly. But Tubbo’s making do. And surprisingly, he gets a lot closer with his fellow schemers. They aren’t all too bad, honestly.
Anyway, basically follows Tommy and Ranboo hunting Dream down to kill him, briefly considering joining him for Tubbo’s return, and then ultimately going back to trying to murder him once it becomes clear he can’t do that, while Tubbo aids them from the shadows and works to ruin any shred of power Dream could hope to garner before putting him down permanently.

AU where the family dynamics get swapped around. Tubbo, Eret, and Dream are raised by Philza. Tommy, Wilbur, Ranboo, and Techno are raised by Captain Sparklez. George and Quackity are raised by Puffy. Sapnap is raised by Sam.
I have confused myself, but those are the basics of it.
Though Dream is more of a speedrunner that a outright fighter, he and Phil share a need to wander, so they often left home together to explore and travel.
This leaves Eret, the oldest, to stay and raise Tubbo alone, along with a young fox hybrid, Fundy, who they found abandoned by a creek. Luckily, the responsibility doesn’t manage to wear them down too much before they befriend a man named Foolish, who becomes a great help to her.
Tommy, and Wilbur are just chilling, sailing the seas and getting many, many shiny treasures for their collections.
Eret and Foolish were friends. Eret died in a battle though, and got reincarnated as Tubbo and Dream’s sibling. Foolish found them again, as he always does.
Fundy’s still Wilbur’s kid, it’s just that neither of them know that for a long while. Sally was a siren, who tried to find Wilbur to give him Fundy, but was unable to, and knowing her child wouldn’t be able to survive at sea, left him by the creek where she knew people passed by everyday, before leaving.
When Sparklez was called away on a mission, Wilbur was often the one to watch Tommy and Ranboo. Though Tommy already considered him a brother, a young Ranboo came to see him as something of a parental figure-this leads to some tension between him and Fundy in the future.
Wilbur and Techno follow Dianite, and Tommy and Ranboo follow Ianite.
Events pretty much continue on as canon, except changed by the different relationships and lifestyles they’ve all lived.
Example: Dream still creates the Smp. Eret and Tubbo still join L’manberg. Eret still betrays them-but here are some changes. Eret betrays them because he wants some of her older brother’s approval, just to be a bit as powerful as him for once, and have him respect her. In the Final Control Room, Punz and Eret grab Tubbo and Fundy, restraining them while the others are killed, much to their horror.
They basically end up stuck in the castle for a week, while their siblings try to convince them of it, until Tommy and Wilbur sneak in and steal them back to L’manberg.
They don’t blame the two for it, after all. It was easy to see the confusion and fear on their faces when it all went down, they obviously weren’t aware of it, and if they didn’t blame them for Dream’s decisions before, why would they blame them for Eret’s now?
Wilbur eventually gets consumed by chaos, weak from stress and his decline, and ends up blowing up L’manberg. Sparklez comes, senses the internal unbalance, and knocks him out when Wilbur tries to get him to kill him-he drags the twins to a nice, warm island, builds a house, and helps them heal.
Tubbo doesn’t lose a second life to Techno, he loses it to Schlatt, who gets annoyed when Techno hesitates and does the job himself
Foolish honestly has very little idea with how to deal with mortals, so he just kind of treated Tubbo and Fundy how he would Eret, but with a lot more caution and care-because they’re so tiny and curious, he’s terrified he’s accidentally going to hurt them.
This basically results in them knowing a lot of things they shouldn’t-which, in his defense, was exactly how he got Eret to take care of themselves-they did healthy stuff and rested well, and he’d teach them neat tricks or some secret knowledge in turn. Bribery works great…in theory.
In practice, giving two small children knowledge of the dark arts hasn’t turned out too well. Weird.
The SBI basically kind of steals Tubbo and Fundy. They just…take ‘em. Once Eret gets himself together again, and redeems himself, they share with her too, but previous to that, Tubbo and Fundy are no longer their’s, they will now be joining the pirate crew.
Clover seems a little excited to see a real cowboy, or at least the one Starlo tries to represent as best he can.
I had this little interaction incomplete and forgotten among my drawings, so I finished it XD
Ben has been one of my favorite characters in the show since the first season and it pisses me off to no end how he’s treated in s4.
I really respected the show’s decision to have Umbrella!Ben sacrifice himself for Viktor because it made sense for his character to be ready to move on in that moment and to do that for his brother and his family. It was an end that did justice to his character.
But if Viktor dies at the end, and so does the whole family, then his sacrifice is for nothing. Ben saved his family at the expense of his own existence for what reason? So that they could live a couple more years and die anyway in the series finale?
I enjoyed the new take they did with Sparrow!Ben as a version of Ben who grew up without the mess and love of the Umbrellas and how much that changed things because it was a compelling concept—which had no pay off in s4.
Why did the show bother establishing Sparrow!Ben as an asshole that was also desperate to belong and be liked, as the guy who whined about not being invited to Luther’s bachelor party and asked Klaus why the other Ben was so much better?
Why did we go through all this story arc if he ends up exactly the same in s4? Ben is still pushing everyone away, still considering himself to have no family and no friends, still thinking of himself as a bad person.
I thought we’d get to see Sparrow!Ben clash with the others in order to show them he’s not their Ben. And it would have been so freaking satisfying to watch the siblings accept and understand he’s his own person and decide they want Sparrow!Ben in the family anyway. That would be an emotional conflict I’d care about, not the bullshit insta-love the writers pulled with Jennifer.
What was the point of Sparrow!Ben this season? He was used to being a soldier, but seemed desperate for a family last season—a family he immediately rejected when it was offered to him in s4.
He died a horrible death and had no control over his own body at the end. He didn’t even become a stupid flower in the new timeline. He just ceased to exist—all alone.
With no family or ties. No hero death. Why did the audience spend 2 seasons getting to know this new version of a well liked character if the show did absolutely nothing to take the story to any decent conclusion?
Both Umbrella and Sparrow Ben are just erased from the narrative because the show didn’t even bother including them in their stupid collective death ending. 4 seasons of Ben’s death haunting the narrative and the Hargreeves for this?
I’m ranting like a deranged madman but that’s my main takeaway. What a waste :/
pal i get that the parallel canon boss "leader" is basically agent 4 but PLEASE give the other ones respect. please pay attention to them too. they're also there. you fight them too. they're just as cute as 'four'. please guys they're so fucking adorable i'm actually tired of them getting ignored
