Witches. Named after witches for their shared skill in brewery that no normal Player could master, but there was a difference between a witch, and a Witch.
Witches were beings that had learned to duplicate the powers of an admin, able to manipulate the natural world beyond a Player’s natural ability, to defy the laws of physics, and harness magic and potions beyond anything ever seen. Loved by the void, and all the oddities of the unnatural world.
They were a true rarity, one in one hundred servers.
And Tubbo was one of them.
—————————–
Or, Witch AU, because Witch!Tubbo is cool, and him using magic and being badass in general is cool.
Witches, as previously mentioned, are basically less powerful versions of Admins. They do not naturally have this power, however, they have the ability to harness items and magic that gives them it.
Witches and witches are different. Normal witches are the basic brewers. Witches, with a capital W, and sometimes Italics, if they’re the first word of sentence(because otherwise it’s confusing), are named because they share their brewery skills with them, but are otherwise classified as Players.
Since Witches are so rare, the majority of them have Titles. Some are inherited, some are gained, and some are given. These Titles aren’t just for flair, having a Title enhances a Witches prowess in a certain magical area, though it certainly doesn’t mean it’s the only one they have to work with.
Some Witches are the Coven, from X life, Aphmau, Eret, George, Karl, and probably some others, I haven’t figured it all out yet. Tubbo, before the Dream Smp, spends most of his time with the Coven, and is apprenticed to Lizzie.
Due to being hunted in the pasts for the abilities, Witches in general tend to hide their nature from all but each other. Of course, it’s illegal to go after them now, but better safe than sorry, and all.
Tubbo doesn’t have a Title yet, but when he eventually earns one, I was thinking something like the Sea Witch, with power of sea, because Captain Sparklez and stuff, or the Spruce Witch, with power over spruce biomes and all within it, because Snowchester and foxes.
Befriended Tommy many years ago, and went to the Dream Smp because he invited him. With the amount of things that happened, he didn’t have time to ask for help from the Coven or anyone else.
Kind of just an Au where he decides ‘no, no, I’m done letting people screw me over’, except instead of it being just nukes to protect Snowchester, he also decides to dip back into his magic and make all kinds of potions as well as dig out all his Witch-related items that he hid when he was in the Smp as not to be discovered.
He bonds with the Witches within the Smp, discovers Michael takes after him a bit more than he thought(his little Nether Witch, how cute), and Snowchester turns into a heavily fortified cozy town filled with many magical creatures waiting to devour anyone who upsets their master. The Coven comes to visit and help out too.
Maybe Kinoko Kingdom turns into something similarly magical, but a bit less fortified, since there’s two Witches there as well, and a demon. Quackity’s a bit confused, but supportive of their magical natures.
I’m torn between Tubbo’s familiar being a fox, or some bees, or some strange mob from X life or somewhere else that just decides to either keep low, or only follows Tubbo to the Smp after Snowchester starts coming along.
How many of you know what Dress Up Niki is? Because I’m making a Dress Up Niki AU.
Tubbo:
A simple boy from Lilith, as far as the group is concerned.
Prefers Warm and Pure styles. Typically with some sort of nature or animal theme.
His default outfit is a pale yellow sweater with three thick brown stripes, and scrunched sleeves, over a soft green button-up shirt that’s collar pokes out, brown shorts with green thread and a single bee embroidered onto each side, pale green socks, brown sneakers with green accents, a braided yellow/green bracelet with a bee charm, and a yellow and brown bee-themed backpack that he carries his stuff in.
There’s a strange bee plushie that he only uses in emergencies, style wise. It’s very soft, and smallish. It’s wings are gossamer, and it’s eyes are amber. Sometimes, it seems to move on it’s own, though nobody’s been able to prove it. Seems to have very potent Pure and Cute attributes.
Skills are Smile, Charming, Picky Immune, and Cinderella.
Tommy:
An orphan from Apple Federal who ran away and now is traveling the world.
Prefers Simple and Lively styles. Usually something sporty, and easy to move in.
Default outfit is a white long sleeve, a red short-sleeved hoodie, light brown cargo pants, red and white sneakers, white socks, brown fingerless gloves, and a brown satchel that holds his stuff.
One-third dark elf-one third forest elf, and otherwise human. Due to this, he can see easily in the dark, has more energy at night, overall has high magic stores, and is really good with animals.
Feels a strange draw to Phil, though he can’t pinpoint why.
Skills are Picky Immune, Gift, Clock, and Charming.
Wilbur:
Hails from the Republic of Wasteland, Windvale Tribe. Having always longed to study the styles of other nations, he finally left to do so after an argument with his brother, Fundy.
Prefers Simple and Gorgeous styles. Usually something with an ‘old-fashioned’ flair.
Default outfit is a pin-striped button up shirt, with rolled up sleeves, brown trouser, suspenders, white socks, a pair of laced boots, an brown, yellow, and blue arm-band peeking out from under his shirt, and a golden bangle bracelet on his wrist. Carries a briefcase bag to hold his stuff.
Very good with music, and has an easier time directing magic through it.
Always has his guitar on hand. It has very potent Lively and Gorgeous attributes.
Skills are Smile, Charming, Critical Eye, and Picky Immune.
Phil:
Comes from Cloud originally, but moved to the North Kingdom as a teen. Nowadays, he travels the world with Techno.
Prefers Elegant and Simple styles. His clothes will be influenced by the area, as he is a survivalist at heart.
Default outfit is dark green kimono top, with a red heart stitched into the breast, over a simple black shirt, black pants, sandals, a striped white and green hat, and a leather pouch around his waist that holds his items.
Part forest elf, and as such, has a pair of large bird wings on his back, which he uses to fly quite often.
Skills are Smile, Charming, Picky Bounce, and Sleeping.
Technoblade:
Former general from the north, he went rogue and became a mercenary at seventeen.
Prefers Mature and Elegant styles. Regal, but not enough to hinder him in battle.
Default outfit is a white poet’s shirt, dark red sash around his waist, black pants, knee-high Cavalier boots, a dark red hooded cloak that reaches his knees, numerous golden accessories, a leather pouch attached to his thigh to hold his stuff, as well as a dagger beneath it, and a sword sheath at his hip.
Immune to the Curse of Blood, for reasons unknown-possible descendant of Nikki.
Skills are Charming, Critical Eye, Cinderella, and Gift Bounce.
Plot:
Prince Tobias is the third prince of Pigeon, after Prince Dream, and Prince Eret. As the eldest, Dream has taken the throne in wake of their mother’s passing.
Shortly before her death, the Queen gave her children each a special gift to aid them in the times to come.
Dream was granted a special mask, made of porcelain, and baring a simple smiley-face on it’s surface. The mask is enchanted, hiding the wearer’s emotions and weaknesses from everyone around them. Perfect for diplomacy.
Eret was given a coat, of deep red and golden thread. It granted it’s wearer confidence, drawing attention to them, and giving them the strength of leadership. Perfect for leading.
And Tobias was given a bee plushie, warm and soft, that gave it’s holder hope, and reminded them of memories of joy and childhood. Perfect for a boy who’d have to be a hero.
When Dream took the throne, he started changing. Acting colder, and more power hungry. Uncaring for his people. His siblings soon realized that the mask had become corrupted, not merely hiding emotions and weaknesses, but making them vanish all together, turning their brother into an unfeeling tyrant.
After failing to get the mask off of him, Tobias fled the kingdom, desperate to find the mask’s maker, or anything to tell him how to fix it and save his brother. Eret remained, determined to help the kingdom as much as they could, and do damage control. Though reluctant to allow her little brother out alone, he realized it would be safer out there than in the kingdom at the moment, and helped him flee.
Very few had seen Tobias’s face, due to the late queen’s insistence upon not dragging her children into kingdom affairs until they were of age, so it wasn’t too hard for him to vanish. Eret sent a family friend his way, Jordan Sparklez, who helped him into Lilith, and established a cover story.
Tubbo Sparklez, a Lilith student returning home after traveling abroad to learn more about himself, just as his father had.
He soon meets Tommy Innit, a runaway from Apple Federal.
Tommy had always been an easy target for the other kids. He was always a bit too loud for the caretakers, and annoying to the other children. Not to mention his strange habits. Needless to say, Tommy often found himself being blamed for things he didn’t do, and punished for them. At fourteen, he was fed up with it.
So he ran. Packed his few things and bolted. Eventually found himself in Lilith, where he quite literally crashed into Tubbo, and despite the rough start, the two became quick friends.
Though Tommy still planned to travel, he decided to relax for a bit, and hang out with his new friend. Those plans were thrown astray when Pigeon attacked the town, and the two fled together.
The terrifying experience led to them agreeing to stick together and protect each other. Tubbo confesses he was searching for something, because his brother was in trouble, and Tommy decided to help him out. After some deliberation, they decided to head to Cloud, hoping to find some clues there.
From there, they meet Wilbur Soot, and eventually, Philza and Techno. The three end up sticking with them, all soon wrapped up in a complicated adventure as Tubbo searches for a way to save his brother, and the rest of the group find themselves facing things about themselves they never knew, and learning where they belong in this vast world.
Yeah, so, is this a safe space for me to say what the fuck? Not a single conversation - not even a single interaction - between Jinx & Sevika acknowledging what happened with Isha? As if the three of them hadn’t become a little family unit of their own. Certainly a choice.
The plot twist of how Ben died was shocking and all, Theoretically a good plot twist. But. It's lazy and boring and I refuse canon and accept fanon. Ben died because of his powers, period.
Tubbo Underscore, Local Bee Anarchist!!
Design sketches of a dsmp roleswap au inspired by the rivalstwt discord!! My head is just spinning with this au, probably gonna have more art about it later!!! For context, Techno and Dream are swapped with Tubbo and Tommy, ergo, Bee Anarchist Tubbo!!!
rs!Tubbo is solemn and quiet, bubbly only occasionally with his family. He is more empathetic than canon Techno, and his relationship with his brother Dream is somewhat better that what canon Tommy and Techno have rn, as he actually understands why Dream would choose his friend over him (but he's blowing up the country anyway. It's doing his brother no favors to be attached to something so rotten.)
-K
people uneducated in the gerard way canon blaming him for ua being bad leave my girl out of this!!!!!!!
Dream SMP Roleswap AU. Roles swap, personalities stay the same.
Tubbo, Niki, Eret, and Dream are all siblings.
Tubbo: Takes the place of Phil. He’s a famous dreamon hunter who carries the moniker of ‘The Angel Of Rest’, known both for saving people from dreamons, and putting them out of their misery when he cannot. The youngest, but skilled in his works. Come to the SMP at Eret’s request, and ends up having to kill his sister.
Niki: Takes the place of Wilbur. A kind and understanding leader who finds herself possessed by a dreamon, twisting her warm personality to something much worse in the wake of her exile. By the time Tubbo gets there, she and the dreamon are so closely intertwined that he’s forced to kill her. She returns as a ghost, able to remember moments of great love and fondness.
Eret: Takes the place of Tommy. She came to the SMP with her twin, Niki. A supportive person, with a knack for building. He gave up his most prized builds for L'manberg’s freedom. They’re worried for what’s to come. Doesn’t know how to feel about Ghostki.
Dream: Takes the place of Technoblade. A well known warrior, unparalleled in his skills. He is a common part of man hunts, rarely failing. Came to the SMP at his sister’s request to cause some havoc, and brought his friends. Sticking around to watch his siblings’ backs, even if L'manberg isn’t too fond of him right now. Has a flirty rivalry with Fundy.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle AU.
Teens Tommy, Tubbo, Purpled, and Ranboo are supposed to spend their detention day clearing out the school’s basement-that goes south when they stumble upon a video game that’s much more than meets the eye, and are quickly dragged in over their heads.
Wilbur, Phil, and Techno are all brothers. Fundy has Alex’s role, stumbling upon the game years ago, and getting sucked in.
Phil is Tommy’s dad, however, he spends a lot of time trying to get Wilbur back on his feet after the loss of his son, to the point of Tommy often feeling neglected and unseen. Thus causing him to cause trouble in school to gain some of his father’s time.
Techno’s the teacher in charge of their detention, putting them together in hopes they’d forge a friendship.
Purpled has a disregard for authority, due to pretty much raising himself while his brother worked to keep a roof over their heads. He doesn’t see a reason to do things a certain way when he can do them much more efficiently his own way, leading him to get into arguments with his teachers quite often.
Tubbo is Tommy’s former childhood friend, the two drifting apart over time. He often gets in trouble purposely, to have an excuse not to go home to his father, Schlatt, who’s either drinking, or too busy working too acknowledge him.
And Ranboo is just a target for bullies, often getting dragged into fights and blamed for things he doesn’t do, to the point of seeing no reason trying to deny it when he’ll only get in trouble for it anyway.
When they’re dragged into Jumanji, they find themselves allied with NPCs that seem more human than not, and on a quest to complete the dangerous game in order to get home.
Tommy becomes Theseus Crafter, a young librarian with access to a ton of books and knowledge, and was in the jungle following his mentor, Ghostbur.
Ranboo becomes Ran Wastaken, the deadly assassin and younger sibling of antagonist Dream, who saw his brother’s corruption, and set off to stop him.
Tubbo becomes Tobias Halo, the youngest member of the Halo family, who are explorers and treasure hunters by trade.
Purpled becomes Hunter ‘Lavender’ Rose, blossoming botanist and cousin of underground fighter Hannah Rose.
Fundy is Ren Todd, a brilliant spy, who’s been working under Dream for years to collect info on him.
To finish the game, they’ll have to collect their various allies, free Dream from the Demon’s Mask, and return the jewel he stole to it’s rightful place in order to break the curse on the land.
I crave BAMF Tubbo and more fics about Tubbo’s bond with the SBI-mostly Techno, because those two have more similarities than most realize.
So, AU.
Technoblade and Tubbo are a bit closer in this AU. This starts a bit after Tubbo is adopted into the family.
Techno knows his family loves him. Of course he does. But..it’s hard sometimes, being the only one without wings. Being the only one with no resemblance to them. And Tubbo comes, and he’s adopted too. And Techno feels a bit of a bond with him, the two of them being the only none-bird hybrids in the house.
So those two get close, in their own way. Anyone outside the family probably wouldn’t see it, but Tubbo learns how to do stitches when his big brother comes home hurt and can’t do them himself, and Techno memorizes the storybook his little brother has him read every night, with no complaints. It’s the little things.
Tommy has Wilbur, and Tubbo has Techno. And they all have each other.
Eventually the family starts drifting a bit. Phil starts playing favorites a little. They try. They really do. But it’s not enough, and one day, Techno and Phil return to an empty house, and a note that explains that Wilbur is taking the kids and going somewhere else.
Techno finds a worn bee plushie on his bed, with a note of his own.
‘I’ll see you soon!’
Fast forward however many years later, and the piglin hybrid finds himself getting a call. From Tommy, who babbles about how he wasn’t supposed to call them, but Pogtopia(?) needs help and so does Wilbur, and Tubbo’s in trouble-
A mess, really.
Techno comes, of course. They’re family. He would never leave them when they needed him.
So he joins the rebellion, does what he can, and then, tragically, the festival happens.
(Not even an hour ago, he was farming potatoes while Tubbo chattered away from his side, a wide smile on his face, and eyes full of trust and warmth)
Techno has never done well with peer pressure(The voices, the voices, tHE VOICES). He aims his crossbow at his little brother’s chest, from where he stands locked in a cage, with frightened, worried eyes. He stalls, waits for any signal of rescue, any sign that he won’t be the weapon that takes his brother’s life.
Nothing comes. He can see the exact moment Tubbo realizes. His eyes are still trusting, and his smile forgiving, as his hands shake from where they’re wrapped around the cold iron of his cage.
He pulls the trigger. Blood flies, the voices roar, and somewhere in his blood rage, Technoblade realizes that this place was doomed from the start-and if it was not, then it certainly was now, with his gentle-hearted brother’s blood staining the earth.
Tubbo respawns in Pogtopia, and his eyes are glazed and unseeing. Wilbur tries to make his brothers fight in the pit. The hybrid refuses. Enough blood has been spilled tonight.
Here’s where the training starts. Because Tubbo’s blindness will not remain, is not permanent, luckily, but it will still take time for his eyesight to return, and there is a war coming.
It would be a dishonor to himself and to his family if he were to leave Tubbo unable to fight after rendering him so.
It just so happens that, prepared as ever, Techno learned how to fight blind ages ago. Because you never know what will happen, and he needed a challenge. So he teaches Tubbo.
You’ve got heightened hearing, so use it. Pay attention to the sounds, pay attention to the air, pay attention to the people. Give them false weaknesses, use your real ones, press every advantage. Be quick, be clever, be merciless.
Anyway, Tubbo becomes a total badass. Either nobody knows, because Techno figures doing this secretly will give him more of an advantage, or they don’t take it seriously, because, well. They don’t take kids very seriously, often, even in wars, do they? And it’s Tubbo. Tubbo’s never a threat(not).
Fast forward again. Schlatt dies, Pogtopia loses, and Wilbur tries to make Tommy president.
You can see the shared moment of confusion between the two. The slow realization that they’re setting up another government, after what the last one did.
(Tubbo thought they’d make L’manberg a community, or something. No government, no politics, just peace and them, all together again. Techno just didn’t think they’d use him for the very thing he fought against)
Tommy turns it down, and gives the title to Tubbo. In front of everyone.
Tubbo’s never done well with peer pressure. Just another trait he shares with the eldest brother.
L’manbergs explosion happens, the withers, and such. In the chaos, Techno is giving out every subtle warning he can for his apprentice without saying a thing.
Wilbur dies, and Techno flees, and from here, there are two options.
Option one: He takes Tubbo with him. He grabs his horse, and offers a hand out for the other, and Tubbo takes it, because he has no intention of being president when there’s another option.
They run and make a cozy life in the snow, eventually joined by Philza, Ghostbur, and, much later, a Tommy who held on and got hurt for it.
Option two: Techno doesn’t get the chance. Tubbo is forced to stick around, and bare the weight of a nation he can feel crumbling by the day. The events of canon happen, with much remorse and unhappiness between the brothers.
Dream is defeated, Snowchester forms, and if Techno finds his way over there, and the two trade apologies along with gifts and warm drinks, well. There’s nobody around to see.
Basically, just Tubbo being cool, and epic, as he should be, and Techno and Tubbo being brothers, and bonding.
Seriously, if anyone has any good fics with BAMF Tubbo, and Techno and Tubbo friendship, please tell me.
I had a random au idea. Some Tales of the SMP and Dream SMP members are siblings. Like Ran, Ranbob, and Ranboo are all siblings. Jackie, Ash, Zack, and Tubbo are brothers. Technoblade, Billiam, and Sheriff Thompson are brothers. Etc
I have no plot ideas expect that the ender-siblings live together and are runaways.
Oooh, this could be interesting.
It could either be a modern-ish AU, with room to add more elements, or you could insert it into the SMP.
Modern version:
They all possibly live in the same town? Idk, maybe like a Stardew valley feel, with added mystery, for our runaways. Maybe every family’s got their own little secrets?
The Ender-sibs are definitely suspicious and secretive about being runaways, but either nobody notices because they’re the same, or they just don’t mention it, because they see no reason to.
Maybe get adopted by Niki, or someone, that’d be cool.
Tubbo gang would absolutely terrorize the local neighborhood, but they’d probably all be somewhat fond of Tommy. Maybe they run a small family shop, or something?
Techno, Billiam, and Sherman would probably all have vastly different jobs with a lot of hold. What those jobs are, I dunno, but they’d be important, maybe? Or maybe just Billiam and Sherman, and Techno just hides in a cozy cottage in the woods to get away from everyone.
SMP version:
Ender-sibs could A, royal runaways, fleeing perhaps danger or duties too heavy for their young shoulders. B, simple kids that perhaps lost their family and didn’t want to lose each other, or were targeted by hunters maybe. Either way, they end up on the SMP.
Those are just my immediate thoughts though, they could be otherwise.
Ranbob could perhaps have some special connection to the dragon, being the only one of them with a purple eye. Meanwhile, Ranboo and Ran would have maybe different abilities? Due to being descended from green-eyed Endermen. I dunno.
Jackie, Ash, Zachary, and Tubbo are, well. A chaotic combination honestly. We could have Tubbo and Jackie being twins along with Ash and Zack, or we could have Tubbo as the oldest, twins as the middle, and Jackie as the youngest(going from eras), or maybe even them all as quadruplets.
Are they all abandoned together? if so, maybe the SBI never finds them, cause the four just decide to move on themselves. Tubbo would probably be less likely to hang out in a box if there were three others to take care of and he’s already been waiting awhile.
They could just make a lives for themselves, either eventually meeting the SBI, or not until they reach the SMP.
If they do still get picked up, again, very chaotic combination.
Maybe they all split up eventually, and end up coming to the SMP later, worried for Tubbo? Cause I honestly think the events of the SMP would have been cut short real quick if they were all together. Dream never would have stood a chance.
And the Technos, honestly, that’s just funny. You have Sherman, an authority, Billiam, a billionare who’s possibly somewhat corrupt and ignores authority, and Techno, a literal anarchist.
With them all being siblings, I like to think they’d all be a bit more mellowed at-like Billiam wouldn’t be a total jerk to the lower-class. Who would be the oldest here? How would Wilbur fit into it, if you wanna do the whole Techno and Wilbur twins thing? Would they even be part of the SBI?
Would Billiam and Sherman follow Techno’s footsteps in becoming famous? Or would they prefer to lay low?
When they all get to the SMP, would Billiam end up getting possessed by the egg? Could offer some interesting motivation for Techno to fight it.
Would Dream have his own siblings? I ask mainly because I think it’d be hilarious if Hubert and Billiam were just chill friends who occasionally did crime together, and then Dream and Techno were like ‘he is the only one who can match me’ sort of rivalry. If so, were would Hubert and the others stand on Dream’s actions, I wonder?
And if Ranboo was joined by his siblings, would they become close with Tubbo too? Would Robin be part of the Tubbo gang? Who else would have Tales siblings? What kind of connection would Dream have to the Ender-siblings? One with all of them? Replacing Ranboo with Ranbob?
Either version has lots of potential, and plenty of opportunity, so like. It’s cool, basically.
