Season 3 Episode 11 in which a man with hot hands hunts those who exhibit the signs of the stigmata.
This is part of an ongoing project to catalogue the villains from the television series X Files. Check out the others here!
Another in a sweet line of gig posters for DJ Lani Love. New set at a cool Chicago restaurant/bar, replete with safety deposit boxes and a giant bank vault. Went with the old timey Chicago feel, the vault graphic second only to that movie-titley slabby text.
Year In Review
Phew, today marks the 2 year anniversary of my starting this blog. It was a slow starter the first year, trying to figure out exactly what to post and how to talk about my work. The blog underwent a huge shift this past year, in tone, content and importance for me. It has become a place to experiment with new techniques, make jokes, write music, and share what goes on in my everyday life as an illustrator and designer. I plan on pumping up the volume exponentially this year on the blog and all things AE. Looking back at the year, I picked out a few posts I was particularly proud of and hope to match and maybe top in 2012.
2011 was the year of illustration. My work shifted heavily towards hand-crafted, fun imagery - a departure from my more precise and clean design previously. My 6 favorite images of the year pretty clearly show this trend.
Season 3 Episode 4 in which a man (dayjob: bellhop) believing himself to be a psychic, brutally murders tarot card and palm reading professionals. One of my favorite episodes - having competing parts humor and gore. The character’s name is referred to as “Puppet.”

Bliizzard
I’ve developed a new system for numbering severe winter storms. It is very logical and looks pretty awesome. Going out on a limb here and pre-calling tonight’s snow the second winter’s blizzard. With my system you can give every storm the non-anonymous respect it deserves. I hope there is The Bliiizzard later this winter.
Another "Hey, Koo!" to add to the soon-to-be collection of haiku comics written by Kalia Armbruster and arted by me. Still settling into this line-art style with flat color. It's a great exercise and I'm having fun working within the restraints. More to come, ya'll.
Hello all! I make music under the moniker Prescription Strength Hugs and have been doing so for a whole lot of years. I've decided to put out a compilation collecting tracks from the first four EPs I made during 2005-2007. There is some good stuff in here, some rougher stuff but it's all the stuff that's made me who I am as a maker today. All instruments played and songs written by me. Hope you enjoy! Take a look at the newly set up Bandcamp page to download this puppy for free (but don't let that stop you from spending copious amounts of digi-cash on it). Thanks.

Another gig poster for the now Chicago-based DJ Lani Love. Changed up the style a bit this time to better portray her intended pop, disco and 80s setlist. I liked the look of the background on this so I made some wallpapers. You can get two versions of the wallpaper for your iPhone 4 or big old Droid right here.
“Let’s ghost some ghosts.”
Working on a character for a little iPhone game. This guy is tasked with putting ghosts to rest. He is the Ghost Ghoster.
Legends of Rock #01 - Ric Ocasek
Starting out with one of the most interesting looking people on earth (with the most improbable facial anatomy): Ric Ocasek. This man has put out a bazillion hits with The Cars and has produced albums for Suicide, Guided By Voices, Weezer, even my beloved Jonathan Richman. A perfect new-wave rocker and bubblegum popper, Ric Ocasek is a Legend of Rock.
To get you started in the world of Ric, I've made an excellent mix of the choicest Cars.
