Hi fun fact, colors do have meaning and there is a legit thing called color theory. The rainbow does have more positive connotations than negative like the @ mintymaiden said. For example, violet is associated with more money, wisdom, and elegance than with blood and death just like the chart shows you. Also, check out "The Designer's Dictionary of Color" by Shaune Addams. Have fun learning something

I like that the presumption here is that "No One On Grumblr Has Heard of Color Theory. Let Me Explain in Depth" rather than simply acknowledging that the VISUAL EFFECTS of this particular color choice, applied in the manner it was, can still amount to "this is a hospital and that looks like blood"

like, color theory doesn't exist in a vacuum. If your design of choice for Hemospectrum Paint is asymmetric splatters and splotches against the wall, or in this case, a shellbeast trail on the hallway's floor, and infographic won't override the viewers' instinct

my hot take about homestuck is that describing the plot is incredibly easy (several others have done this, so i won’t on this post), it’s the STRUCTURE of homestuck that’s impossible to explain simply

and THATS why homestuck references are the most batshit confusing things ever. because they aren’t about the fairly simple plot, theyre about the weird amalgamation of computer coding, chess, billards, zodiacs, fucking LUCKY CHARMS, etc that make up the building blocks of the background elements that barely have anything to do with the core plot

it’s one thing to say homestuck is about 4 friends that play a game at the end of the world to try and design a new world, it’s another to explain why betty crocker is a pisces alien fish dictator that takes the place of the black queen in the third intergalactic chess game of the series

Fellas, if your game has:

A Simple Style

An Emphasis on Building

Esoteric Crafting Recipes

A Leveling/Enchanting System

If the epilogue’s prologue somehow wasn’t enough to satisfy your ravenous Homestuck hunger, then I’m proud to announce that Minestuck has gotten an update, adding…

* Sounds for all current underlings and the four consorts.

* Aspect Effects: After reaching a certain rung (which varies between aspects) on your echeladder, you will gain a constant potion effect which will change depending on your aspect. For example, Life players will get regeneration and Blood players will get absorption.

* 3 new hammers. Two of them currently aren’t obtainable in survival mode, but will be given a recipe as soon as the planned ingredients are implemented.

* A new cake.

* The Hashmap modus now allows custom names as input.

* You can now captchalogue items from within a GUI, including your inventory.

The Abilities Update

It’s here! This update contains a staggering 144 classpect abilities, one for each classpect, and more than a dozen aspect exclusive abilities. Furthermore, dungeons have been improved, and can actually contain loot in the form of aspect loot chests.

We’ve also added a ton of new cosmetics and items. Some are only accessible through alchemy, so get alchemizing!

Minestuck 1.4 | Bitchin’ Lands Update

what is UP my gracious tumblr friends. oh boy oh man minestuck ONE POINT FOUR (1.4) has cometh and does it have a whole lot of LAND THINGS for you. yes, for you. and your enjoyment. it adds a whole buncha new land terrain aspects, as well as replacing an old land title aspect! read onwards, followers of minestuck, and i shall tell you all about this lovely update.

btw: when i say land terrain aspect i refer to the randomized part of your land (shade, sand, etc.), and when i say land title aspect i mean the part of your land dependent on your aspect (pulse, light, etc.)

* Added the Flora land terrain aspect (seen in the picture above)

* Added the End land terrain aspect

* Added the Rainbow land terrain aspect (seen in the picture below)

* Added the Fungi land terrain aspect

* Added the Frogs land title aspect

* Added frog entities. Frogs come in all sizes and colors, but there are some special ones which can be used for certain things.  Frogs can be caught in a net. Try to catch them all– all 9.444731276889531e+22 unique combinations!

* Added a bunch of new blocks to go with the new land types. Including rainbow planks, stairs, and slabs, for the rainbow houses you never knew you wanted until you read this

* The Frog Statue and the Checkerboard got 3D models which you can place down

* New skyboxes for the Medium, showing Skaia, the Veil, and all of the other planets in your session

In addition to all of this, the Rain land terrain aspect will be included in an upcoming update.

I really like the music in the game, especially the one we hear in the house. Do you know where I can find it? Or is it someone from the team who composed it?

It’s all made by people from our music team. Some of the music is on our gamejolt page (the house theme is called Symphotronic), and luminantAegis extended one of our songs the other day (which is pretty cool).There are plans for a bandcamp page, but for now this is all.
