So how are we feeling everyone
i know we'll reunite one day, up there in the clouds
I've been working on a deep sea creature twink for my friend
aghhhfghghh
I JUST NOTICED THIS DETAIL IM FREAKING OUT
When Arle is sad abt her spider dying her curse acts up and her hands get darker, then they become less dark until they're entirely normal when she's with Clervie, but once Clervie dies they blacken again and the markings, long nails, and red nails show up
Also maybe she made her title "Father" so she wouldn't have to hear herself referred to with the same title as the previous Knave who killed the person who was seemingly her only friend
I personally think that Scara probably still deals with trauma / self-loathing from his past + blames himself for being manipulated by Dottore and for the fact that his attempt to sacrifice himself via Irminsul to bring everyone back failed. Due to his general distrust of humans I kinda made this headcanon that cats / the aranara / birds / Nahida help get him out of his own head when he's going down that path and starts overthinking everything and getting overwhelmed by all that's happened to him / the new realizations he had in the interlude quest so yea
Dr. Ratio: I've read 20 textbooks on romance and human relationships. I followed all the instructions. Why does he still think I hate him?
Dr. Ratio: I likened him to a beautiful bird ("The Attini Peacock boasts one of the universe's more jarring songs, and your choice of attire is somewhat peacock-esque").
Dr. Ratio: I complimented his abilities ("He's not awful to work with").
Dr. Ratio: I playfully implied that he'd look better without his clothes ("I keep telling him the flashy outfits are just making his job harder").
Dr. Ratio: I indulge in his whims ("You could easily squash me with just a pinch"—"If that is your wish, I will do so without a moment's hesitation").
His rubber ducky he was talking to all this time: … (can you please be normal for like 5 minutes and just go and talk to him?)
Catching up with “The Summer Hikaru Died” and something from the first chapter caught my eye:
We are not coming in at the beginning of the story. It’s been six months since Yoshiki found Hikaru’s body and began to live with the guilt and uncertainty. We are seeing his mental health in an already deteriorated state. This is not a case of a character being introduced and then going downhill; it’s a character being introduced while actively declining. Just like we’ve never met the original Hikaru, I’d argue we’ve never met the original Yoshiki either.
