Here is an exchange I had with an employee when I submitted this drawing: 

Mr. M: “Hey, hey, Dai-chan, you forgot to draw Bridget’s spats.”

Ishiwatari: “Huh? Oh, damn! Shit, no handcuff or yo-yo either!” 

Mr. M: “Well… You just wanted to draw a butt, didn’t you?” 

To be honest, I started thinking I was a Satorare, [someone who projects their thoughts]. My mother also said to me in a strange voice, "Did you change your drawing style?” I had a lot of traumatic experiences with this work.

I mean this in the best way possible, but I keep misreading your blog title line (KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE) as KEEP YOURSELF AFLAME, and then I see the Sol Badguy header image, and he’s got his mouth open like he’s screaming and he’s on fire.

So the combination of my reading blunder and the picture of Sol Badguy screaming on fire immediately makes my mind jump to the absurd mental image of Sol screaming because he’s on fire but he’s like “I’ve got to keep myself aflame!” and it’s very intense, but silly. Like, it’s okay dude, just keep yourself alive.

So, in a way, even my reading mistake still leads to the truth. I thought the whole thing was a little goofy of my brain
