Romeo Is That Guy. he’s a little (paid) intern

he’s perfect for the job because he still has His Big Ol Brain. he can memorize Whatever. so instead of memorizing the names of people he’s killed, he instead travels the world. gathers info where things are happening. gathers info where things are not happening. he’s a field researcher, observer, and a reporter, wrapped into one

he won’t interfere, unless he thinks it’ll do some good.

he gets to actually experience the world. delilah too! sometimes she comes along to gather info as a sketch artist. she’s got that courtroom artist photographic memory

don’t worry though, she gets paid too. romeo tends to work himself too hard, sometimes out of passion, and sometimes as a means of self-harm. asuka frets over it because to him, it all feels a little too familiar.

i think there’s a lot of poetic justice in the idea of romeo working for asuka and having him as a bit of a mentor figure after thinking he had that with ariels/uni. will and only being met with manipulation. i think asuka would help romeo re-learn how to trust others, and romeo would help asuka stay connected to the world and to people while he works on his own shit too.

i also think there’s something Healing about baiken finding out that her two little guys are working for asuka, Of All Fucking People, and finding that she’s … okay with that. provided he gives them health insurance too, of course. Nature Is Healing

oh, and don’t pull up his bangs. he’s still missing an eye, and his full face is a little. Incongruent with reality.

Ragna and Nu parenting hcs plsssssss ty!

Ok I have like 2 asks that are older than this one but the random motivation went brrr so fuck it we ball. Also that one Ragnu fic on fanfic.net was a big help in getting this done.

This is...probably not my best, but this ship is fucking hard to do.

-Taking place in an AU where Ragna doesn't have to sacrifice himself at the end of CF, whether the two of them decide to adopt or Nu is able to have children, these two are...odd as parents to say the least.

-Ragna takes the parent role much more naturally, though that's not really saying much when Nu used to be a weapon created for war, but she's starting to have normal emotions now and very eager to learn. Chances are though she's probably going to need more attention than the kid sometimes to make sure nothing goes wrong.

-Ragna does have at least some experience with kids? Luna and Sena, at least, and might as well throw Tao in there because she might as well be one. Though one that's supposed to be his is another matter entirely. He's not the biggest fan of them normally, but the little rascal manages to grow on him somehow.

-The kid's going to grow up one of two ways: a smartass delinquent or an innocent, mildly socially awkward kid, maybe a bit of both.

-They're also going to grow up with an affinity for swords, there's no avoiding that. Someone's going to need to keep a constant eye on the kid and keep innovating on new places to hide any and all sharp objects.

-As long as Ragna's around, the kid's going to learn how to defend themself when needed, half out of necessity and half out of a subconscious fear Ragna has of something happening. Terumi still fucked him up beyond full repair after all. Also he's not gonna let them not learn how to cook, the last thing he needed was his own progeny ending as up another Noel. Kind of a hardass sometimes, but a cool dad.

-Nu is one hundred percent the one that spoils the kid. She just can't help but dote on them, though sometimes Ragna has to keep her from taking it too far so they don't end up a spoiled brat. This might earn some pouting from her, but it's probably for the better.

-At the very least, poor Ragna and Nu aren't going to be alone. Noel and her friends, Lambda, Celica, Jubei, and to a lesser extent Jin (though he's going to be a fucking tsundere about it) are willing to help out. When it comes to a child as chaotic as they are any and all help is greatly appreciated.

-Rachel would probably not want much to do with the kid, at least until Ragna talked to her about it. The kid could use a godmother, even if the world was a much safer place than the last one. He half expected an immediate no, but he was pleasantly surprised.

-To be honest Rachel herself was surprised as well. But since the insanity of Terumi and the looping world had finally all ended, she felt as if the world had finally been taken off her shoulders. She could finally live and enjoy life for what it was. And if part of that was Ragna's child, so be it. She did want to see where it went, though she'd never admit that out loud.

-The kid's got one gigantic found family, with plenty of positive influences in their life. Ragna and Nu are optimistic that they'll turn out for the better as long as they don't royally fuck up.

Over all head cannons

Animal reploids –Animaloids

Once in a while, the reploid will make their respected animal sound.

(supported by chill penguin in the day of Sigma “HACK”. Ride Boarski (thought his name was boarserker for the longest) in X 7,  flame mammoth in X1, and Overdrive ostrich X2 )

They also show the behavior of their animals .

(Supported by Blizzard wolfang howling X6, Sting chameleon crawling around, Chill penguin sliding on his belly, and Kuwanger fluttering his wings in Maverick hunter X )

If one animaloid makes their respected sound by another they are likely to respond back with their sound.

Ex. chill penguin chirping at Storm eagle and he chirps back. Or, Chill penguin squawking at Flame mammoth and he trumpets back.

If one animaloid makes his noise loudly, it might trigger all the animaloids to sound off. (some hate this.)

EX. Cyber peacock caws loudly, causing the neighborly animal based reploids to respond.

By default, prey animaloids get uneasy around predatory themed animal reploids. predatory animaloids feel repelled by their respected prey themed animaloids.  This was put into place so both reploids and fully develop their personalities without distraction. But after a while this can be over looked and both parties and interact normally. This built-in mechanism can drive the relationships of the involved reploids though; as how long it takes one to lose his or her restrictions is different for each individual.

EX. Flame stag wants to avoid Neon Tiger because he freaks him out, but Neon Tiger has gotten over his restrictions so he keeps following him; wanting to be friends. In the end Flame stag grows fearful of Neon Tiger and wants to avoid him at all cost believing him to be a weirdo.

Animaloids tend to befriend their own kind. Birds want to talk to birds, bugs to bugs
