The alterhuman community doesn't just include therians
Thank you and goodnight
hey everyone, please remember you can accept and acknowledge your physical/biological nonhumaness and *still* take care of your body
accepting that your body isn't human doesn't stop you from taking care of the body you do have, and please don't think that it does (I saw an argument that said accepting your body as not being biologically human will cause those to neglect themselves)
it isn't wrong to understand that your body isn't human (mine isn't, in anyway)
but just for a general life thing:
drink water and eat meals
bathe yourself
it's good to get doctor checkups if able
brush your fangs and teeth+gums and your tongue
spend some time outside :)

If you ever want to talk: My Tumblr ask is always open.
i dont see enough people talking about how lonely it is to be alterhuman sometimes. i think we all need a reminder that no matter how shunned or alone you are irl, theres still a whole community behind you who will always see u for who u are. we all got you!!

It’s true. We don’t. Since the therian community is mainly online, we don’t get a lot of disabled therians. That is mainly because the algorithm pushes mainly quads and masks. It also kinda ties into my last post about the therian community being very quads and gear centered.
Many disabled people (myself included) aren’t able to do quads. And in a world that’s already not made for us, “coming out” as a therian can place unnecessary pressure on us to be able to do quads and wear gear.
I’m gonna be real with y’all, I can’t live my life without being in pain 24/7. I have multiple disabilities and while i’d love to have gear and do quads, my body just doesn’t allow it.
TLDR: even though disabled therians are underrepresented in the therian community, please don’t discount our existence.
Thanks for reading!
i don't trust anyone who says "i don't hate ALL men, just cishet men" to not extend that to trans and other queer men whenever it suits their narrative. sure you say that it's only cishet men you hate, but is it really? or are you willing to extend that to other men whenever and wherever it pleases you? this is a dangerous line of thinking because the temptation to say "well x type of man is BASICALLY a cishet man so it's okay to hate them," will always be there.
i already see this in effect with aro and ace cishet men. people will go "well they're not REALLY queer, they're JUST cishet. being aro or ace 'doesn't count' they're still a cishet man." where does "cishet man" even begin or end? does this include gender non conforming cishet men? intersex cishet men? aspectrum cishet men? genderqueer cishet men? bi/multigender people who also identify as cishet men as well as multigender? this isn't the way to go about life. it's a dangerous game that no one should be playing.
if you were a loom kid did you grow up into a Kandi kid cuz same
"Guyysss... therians don't ACTUALLY think we're animals haha..." SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP
At this point I prefer the company of those who are straight up physically nonhuman and are PROUD AND OPEN ABOUT THAT FACT, instead of YOU fuckers who tip-toe around your identity to make OTHER PEOPLE more comfortable.
GET MAD. BE ANIMALISTIC. WEAR A COLLAR. BARK AT PEOPLE WHO PISS YOU OFF. WEAR GEAR. DON'T WEAR GEAR. FIND YOUR FELLOW CREATURES. LEARN ABOUT THE START OF OUR COMMUNITY.
BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY SCARY AND INTIMIDATING TO NORMIES.
Reblog if you would be comfortable living in a dormitory with an openly transgender or intersex individual. We’re working on a campaign for gender neutral housing and we could use your support.
