It's time for a new Project. This time i wanna be witch from Witch Hat Atelier. I started with the white dress they wear under the iconic big cape. For that i used the pattern 120 from the 08/2011 burda style magazine as a base for the top part and the sleeves.
I added the button placket first to the front part and marked where the 7 buttons are gonna sit. Then i decided a point at the armhole and connected that point to the top and the bottom of the button placket. After that i measured the space and divided that by 7 and marked each line with that result. To each line i added 0,7 cm for the pintucks later. For the back part i did it similar. For the sleeves i split off the bottom part and added space for another button placket. To the top sleeve part i added more space to the middle so the sleeve will be fuller and puffy. In the end my pattern looked like this: (all the dark gray parts got thrown away)
I also constructed a collar for the dress from scratch and for the bottom part of the white dress i used a simple rectangle as big as all the fabric that i had left after i cutted all the parts for the top part. Now to the fun part: sewing! The first thing i made was all the pintucks in the front and the back. That took more time than i thought because i sewed really slow to make them as accurate and neat as possible. After that i pieced the two front parts together and added the button plackets in the front and in the back. Next was the shoulder seam - I hid that one under another pintuck so it's barely visible! Because the embroidered fabric i chose is pretty thin and see-through i sewed in a lining. After that i sewed on the collar.
Then i prepared the bottom part of the dress by sewing on the lining. I made sure the scalloped edge from the fabric is still visible. I also made this for the bottom part of the sleeves. After that i pinned the skirt part onto the dress. Thought it would be good to use my dress form for that but in the end i just measured the distance between the highest and the lowest point of the V-shaped front part and the A-shaped back part. With that i could mark these points on the side and the middle of the skirt and could connected the points. Then i could cut off the excess fabric. Next i gathered the skirt fabric at the top, sewed it on the top part. Lastly i also gathered the fabric for the top part of the sleeves into a puffy sleeve and sewed that on the dress - then the dress was done~
Am I the only one who noticed this? I think Mao Mao also fits in on the aroace part, what other characters fit in?
i genuinely hate how people have to sit and write a post that stands out while boosting a fundraiser because most people won't bat an eye at the misery and inhumane conditions Palestinians are living in.
i see people making art and telling others to use it because fundraisers with art are generally reblogged more often. i see people using colored text in order to make the post more eye catching.
palestinians on instagram are using popular audios and stitch trending reels at the beginning to make the world pay attention to them. imagine having to make something look entertaining in order to survive.
they are living under constant threat of israeli airstrikes, bombing, scarcity of food and disease. many have lost a lot in the past few months.
palestinians on tumblr are posting their pictures and the horrible conditions in which they are living. they travel long distances for internet connection only to be called a scammer by some privileged ass who cannot locate gaza on a map.
here are some verified gfms. please share the linked posts. it's the bare minimum we can do from the comforts of our home.

A lot of propaganda is not actually misinformation.
A lot of propaganda is not even half-truths.
A lot of propaganda actually is telling you the truth, but is feeding you a specific conclusion that the author wants you to draw from it.
This makes it a lot more robust, because if you go searching for sources to confirm the information, you'll find them!
So an important thing in evaluating information is not just "Is this true?" but also:
"Wait, does this lead inevitably to the conclusion this person is presenting? What other conclusions could I draw here? What other reasons for this piece of info could there be? How does this information fit into what I already know?"
"What are the motivations of the person who wrote or created this? Why did they want me to draw that conclusion? Do they themselves believe the conclusion they're drawing, or are they just trying to convince me? If they do believe it themself, why? If not, why are they trying to convince me? What's going on for them here?"
"What other pieces of information might I be missing? What am I extrapolating without noticing? What did this person deliberately leave out, or want me to ignore or gloss over? What other contexts and comparisons are applicable here?"
"How does this information with in with not only the specific conclusion that is presented, but with the author's overarching thesis? When I use it, how well does it fit into my thesis? When I take a step back, does this piece of information actually make any sense as supporting evidence for this person's thesis?"
Hopefully this is helpful, and can help your skills at evaluating information and arguments become more robust!

Geez been working on this since the Meta AI things blew up but I only finished just now!!
you can use http://haveibeentrained.com to search for your images and find out if your work has been used for AI.
In there, you can choose to opt out, but AI companies are not obligated to respect it so it isn't too much of a protection unfortunately 😭
Also be aware that they are associated with AI and they did try to badmouth glaze so artists wouldn't protect themselves; which's very bad for a company that allegedly are on the side of the artists.
It completes unfinished work, which can be used for 'stealing and claiming it theirs', so put a cat picture in the next wips you post as well!
Funny protective measure I know LOLLLL but here's the tests for yall cynical people:
Perhaps I'll complete this comic with this info one day, but just these 10 slides took a looot of work so probably not happening anytime soon 😭
Thank you for reading everything though, I really appreciate it and hope this will help 🫶 be careful out there, privacy issues have been crazy recently!!!
