i haven't seen any posts about it this summer so im making my own. if you live on the east coast of the US (particularly pennsylvania, new jersey, new york, or maryland) and you see a bug that looks like this:

there's small tidbits in a lot of the ADA light novels, like daily life at the detective agency and 55 minutes and I'm sure in other places as well. I believe in entrance exam it's also explicitly mentioned that making sure dazai doesn't off himself is one of the tasks he's given, but don't quote me on that

and in 55 minutes atsushi is amazed at how kunikida is so used to watching over him that completely unphazed by most of dazai's antics (he thinks this while dazai is rolling away in a trash can. I so badly want to see 55 minutes animated solely because dazai is in a trash can for 80% of his screen time. bless.)

Do you know where the info that kunikida regularly checks up on dazai comes from? I've seen people mention it's canon and I thought it was in the entrance exam novel, but apparently it's not, and I really like that piece of lore so hopefully it's actually canon :(

unfortunately I don’t know where it’s from, I’d assume it’d be from entrance exam, but if you didn’t find it there then maybe it was from some interview with asagiri? sorry that I don’t have any definitive answers

It really depends on what language you're learning, but I personally for learning Japanese use actual physical books to learn grammar and all that jazz, and I use an anki deck (the wanikani deck) for learning kanji/vocab. Anki is a flashcard program, it's very popular for learning languages, and most common languages have multiple decks available to download. It's kind of annoying to get set up bc the standard settings are wacky, but once you get that done you won't have to look at it ever again. If you need any help just shoot me a message!

Also physical books are awesome bc you can annotate on the page and that really helps me, but you can also find pdfs and online lesson plans for most books fairly easily.

Been wanting to learn a new language for a while now . I know Duolingo is trash since they fired most of their staff and replaced them with shitty AI and it seems like that's most language apps nowadays. Does anybody know of one that doesn't use AI, or if not an app then an online course?
