If you view Warrior Cats as being human-like that's fine.

—But, I also disagree.

And I think you lose a lot of the value of reading a book series about cats by moralizing their society against human standards instead of enjoying the world building for what it is.

There are people who are mean online, and who ruin the online experience for others.

So, here's my two cents.

You do not need to preface it with,

"But, I acknowledge that they're bad or abusive or xenophobic, or at fault,"

No.

You do not have to justify anything you feel about any character from a stupid cat book, ever. For any reason. Warrior Cats is not real. It says about as much about you that you like Thistleclaw as a shitty horoscope can say about your day.

Which, is to say, nothing, at all.

You can like a character because they're evil, or because you sympathize or relate to them, or because they stir the pot, etc. etc. Any reason that is your own is reason enough.

Just saw a post on a confession blog that made me feel so validated about that post I made a day or so ago. Suddenly, my insecurities about how bad I am at writing are gone completely.

I feel totally vindicated. Like my post was worth it. What I wrote last night fucking sucked, so I deleted it (because I couldn't make it sound right), but I'm glad that at least something I wrote resonated with people and conveyed what I had to say.

I read through that confession, and I'm just like, 'This is a problem and I didn't blow it out of proportion.'

It's a good feeling.

I feel like Harlan Guthrie is the opposite of a queer baiter.

John and Arthur are being pushed as being almost aggressively straight and platonic in the last few episodes so that no one can ship them anymore.

He's two steps away from declaring that John and Arthur share a brother bond or are like father and son, lol.

I can't wait until it gets here. I can't believe I have another four days to wait.

Writing is so. hard.

Conveying my thoughts is so. hard.

To make my stance clear.

I don't think anyone should be able to decide, for someone else—

—What accessories are and are not allowed on a fictional cat they drew, what couples they are or are not allowed to ship, and whether or not their interpretation of the books is 'valid'.

No one— Not the creators of the franchise, and not other fans.

And if you think you should be able to decide that for someone else—

Then you're an asshole.

The second I even so much as glanced at the sonas on WC JPN twitter, I realized I could get as "out there" with my designs as I wanted to and that I wasn't limited to "natural designs".

Don't know why it happened that way, but here's my new sona. I guess. Pyramidhead JK. Sandwind.

So, anyway, lesson learned, your WC sona can be whatever you want it to be design-wise. Go nuts guys.
