Selfishness is putting the wants of yourself over the needs of others.
Self respect is putting the needs of yourself over the wants of others.
One is disregarding others, one is taking care of yourself.
The difference between the two is the difference between being a friend and a doormat.
Taking care of yourself does not make you a bad person.
I repeat:
Taking care of yourself does not make you a bad person.

Welcome to the Studyblr Survey 2016!
As part of a community effort to learn more about ourselves, our interests, and our studying, I’m excited to release this community project!
The intent of the survey is to collect information about members of the studyblr community in order to better paint a true picture of its members. It uses multiple choice questions, ranging from demographics, to stationery interests, to subjects, and even to extracurriculars to understand people’s perception and interaction with the community.
Take the survey here!
The survey will remain open until June 19th, or roughly 2 months, and after that, all of the results will be posted onto my blog, intellectus (which is where I will also be posting updates/other info/opportunities to get involved). It’s meant to be as transparent and accessible as possible! All related posts will be tagged ‘studyblr survey 2016′.
Please reblog on here and share elsewhere so that this project can have the maximum possible audience!
The survey is also completely anonymous, and will be open for approximately a month before data is finalized.. No information such as URLs, names, or email address will be collected, and you can contact me, the creator of this survey, with any questions you happen to have here!

hey everyone! my name’s jo and i’m a junior in high school. i’m a tad bit late in my intro post to the studyblr community, but i happened to stumble upon (and fall in love with) the studyblr community about a month ago, so i decided to start my own studyblr to get myself started and motivated!
with that out of the way, i’m currently looking for great studyblrs to follow (and goodness willing, to be friends with because that’d be delightful) so just like/reblog or send me a message and i’ll definitely check out all your blogs! thanks! <3
also, some of the great blogs that inspired me to make my own: @areistotle @solarstudy @hope-studies @elkstudies @hermionegoals @emmastudies @studyign @studylou @studybuzz @succulentstudy @haleystudies @studytildawn
reblog if it’s 100% okay for your followers to message you and tell you how productive they’ve been or how they aced a final exam or even just talk about their new study supplies

29 march ‘16 | a bit of a late post, but here’s my bullet journal for last week’s break!
070316 // i’ve been really productive over the past 3 weeks. on-task for all my tutorials and lectures. i understand things way better now (atomic structure ehem) im still not regretting my choice of repeating jc1. not really liking my class tho. i’m getting bad vibes from a lot of them. project work hasn’t even officially begun and most can’t keep up with their homework. this is really scary: at this rate 50% of them will retain. and the thing is they’re stubborn. oh well, i hope for the best.

sabotage fuckstudy’s 29/100 days of productivity
I spent the entire weekend feeling anxious/stressed/depressed about job applications and how far behind I was on my thesis. I’m not going to let those feelings sabotage the start of my week.
