Pride Month Art Challenge: Day 1

So I decided to come up with my own art challenge in celebration of pride month. As an LGBTQ+ person myself, this month is very important to me, and what better way to express my happiness for it than through my art! So throughout June, I’ll draw a piece of art of one of my ocs from my webcomic. I encourage people to draw artwork of their oc in their pride wear to help celebrate.

I’m excited for @kakavegeweek ! This year, I’ll be making everything based off of my Universe 13 AU.

There are several main factors to this AU.

1. Planet Vegeta was never destroyed because Frieza was killed by Bardock. (Both Bardock and Gine were later sent to Earth under witness protection by King Vegeta)

2. Goku was never sent to Earth, and thus was never given the name Goku but remains as Kakarot.

3. Vegeta ascends to the throne and becomes king at a young age after his father is assassinated with Kakarot and Raditz as his knights.

4. Cooler leads and manipulates Saiyans that supported Frieza into starting 20 year civil war.

5. ✨T r a u m a✨ and lots of it for both Kakarot and Vegeta to go through during this war.

6. Vegeta and Kakarot accidentally learn an ancient fusion technique called Coalescence Fusion (A fusion style that I created that’s somewhat similar to Steven Universe’s version of fusion.)

7. And because of this accidental fusion they slowly start to fall in love with one another.

And that’s pretty much it! I can’t wait to share it with all of you. 🥰

Hello, there’s been some unfortunate news.

Hi, Bepis-Boii speaking.  Over the past week, I got the crushing news from someone in my inner circle of in real life friends that one of my closest acquaintances, someone I had worked closely, and who helped me with inspiration for this project had taken his own life on Dec. 29th, 2020. I’ve only found out about it five days ago. I was and still am incredibly devastated by his death. He was such a lovable teddy bear, talented person, and overall jokester that when I initially heard about this I thought that it was just another one of his pranks, even when I got to go see his body one last time during his visitation, but no. It was all too real. He was gone and there was nothing I could do about it. I wish I got to properly say goodbye to him or at the very least hugged him before we went our separate ways. But I can’t take that back now. I’ve been going through it a lot this past week and because of that, for the sake of my mental health, I unfortunately have to delay the webcomic just a little bit longer. Not by a lot, but enough so I and my friends can grieve for my friend. Right now, I cannot work in this mental state. I hope you all understand. If anything, I want everyone to know one important thing out of this story. Don’t take your loved ones for granted. If you haven’t talked to person in a while, please talk to them. They’ll really thank you for it one day. You’ll never know how much they meant to you until they’re gone forever. Don’t forget that. And of course… if you, a loved one, or anyone else you know are going through a hard time, have suicidal thoughts, or just need someone to talk to.

So, the article 13 thing. You seem to know a lot about it so can I ask a stupid question? Does it affect the UK too?

I would think so??

 I only say that since this article was created and put in place by the EU before Brexit happened. However, because it’s been over a year now and Brexit happened only a few months ago. From what I’ve gathered, not a lot has happened since Article 13 (now called Article 17) has been passed. As an American, I don’t really know if it still affects the UK since they are no longer under the EU but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be worried about it now. There is a new law that the EU is trying to pass where they require every social media (especially YouTube) to have an “upload filter”, or some sort of algorithm that scans for stolen content or copyrighted material before posting.  This sounds fine on the surface but if you know anything about how bad YouTube’s algorithm is and how it’s known for companies’ complete abuse of the copyright system, this is a bad sign. They are planning completely implement this filter by June 2021 so please be wary and contact your MEPs.  Here’s a link to an article about what’s happened since Article 13 has passed:

Hey guys! I know that I’ve been gone for a pretty long time but now I’m back and better than ever. However, I’m not going to be as active as I was before and mainly focusing on Instagram. Hey guys! I’m finally back! But this time I have treats for you all. 🤩 Because of this whole pandemic, a lot of stuff has been cancelled (which has also unfortunately prevented me from graduating.) so now I have at least forty dolls that I need to get rid of ASAP. If you know me and my artwork, you’d know that I have another account for my video game project, We The Uncommon. These are characters from that fan game and I hope that you’ll like them! I don’t know where I should sell them just yet but I’m trying to square out my options in my spare time as well as keeping up with classes and work for the game.
