it's always "kill yourself" and never "i'm going to kill you". no one wants to work these days
the whole severance process and its subsequent success being manufactured from and built upon the labour and suffering of two women. one a child who designed severance to cope with the reality of the world she was forced into, and one being a woman of colour who was kidnapped and turned into a toy to be used at the whims of a white man. and you all wanted to know why ms huang is a child. well here is your answer. a teenage girl of colour currently under the same scholarship as cobel happily and matter-of-factly carrying out the subjugation of people who only exist because of what lumon exploited out of people like her. lumon having entire institutions dedicated to the continued indoctrination of vulnerable children. lumon systematically ensuring any amount of class or race consciousness or solidarity between their subjects is impossible by having them carry out each other's exploitation on their behalf. the innies just being a new rung at the bottom of the ladder whom the disenfranchised and marginalised can feel empowerment in stepping over. and ms huang is just the next in a long, long line of victims
guy who still hasnt killed himself bc hes waiting for the winds of winter to come out
This scene, known as Lynds 483, will continue to change over millions of years. Today, we have the clearest view of it yet, thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope.
Two forming stars that fit into one pixel, hidden in a tiny, opaque disk of dust at the center, are responsible for sending out the jets and outflows that are represented in vibrant pink, purple, and blue hues.
Webb also shows us dust in unexpected places. Look along the edges of the semi-transparent cones. Distant stars look orange here, not white. This is because there’s additional dust around Lynds 483. Where the view is free of obscuring dust, stars shine brightly in white and blue.
Millions of years from now, when the stars are finished forming, they may each be about the mass of our sun. Their outflows will have cleared the area—sweeping away these semi-transparent ejections. All that may remain is a tiny disk of gas and dust where planets may eventually form.

Anyone else getting Nikola Orsinov vibes from Gwendoline Christie's appearance at the Maison Margiela fashion show?
Come to our circus, we stole your monkeys.
It’s scary when you realize just how many men RELISH in fantasies where they get to kill people for so called justified reasons… men who stockpile guns in the hopes that their elaborate home intrusion fantasy will come true and they’ll get to shoot the intruder epic video game style. Men who stockpile a militia’s worth of guns in their basement because they drip precum thinking about the day when they will have to fight the evil government outside their door and they get to water the tree of liberty. So many boring ass dudes secretly want to live out the plot of John wick and kill hordes of people in the name of self defense/defending their family and their honor… not actually to protect anyone but just because killing seems awesome and guns give them a boner

"True power can reside wherever the hell it wants but not with me! Now let me swing my sword around" is the only acceptable answer to Varys's riddle from the sellsword's perspective and Jaime wins the game
it’s soooo crazy that after jaime killed aerys they ASKED him who he was declaring king was he naming himself or tywin or robert or viserys. because so much of the power politics so much of the crown power is this long absurd constructed legitimacy oh the baratheons have a targ ancestor it’s almost continuity that’s why it’s ok. you can’t kill a king and get rid of all that power it was more inherent than that. but when the kings dead on the floor that doesn’t fucking matter at all ask the kid who killed him if he’s king now it’s a moment out of reality. he might as well be isn’t that the way it worked back then. none of that was real it’s all violence might makes right and momentum and jaime says i don’t care name whoever you like. it won’t be me
every person in the eyepocolypse knowing and seeing jon’s face is actually so terrifying on both sides
sooo poetic that dany exists as this figurehead this one last scion of old valyria and the dragonlords that conquered a whole continent and yet she rebukes the valyrian legacy of slavery and actively works to dismantle the biggest piece of their colonial legacy. the last remaining child of a cruel father devouring his corpse. cruelty cannibalizing itself. epic and based

shout out seventeen year old Jaime Lannister for after undergoing the most traumatic incident of his adolescent life, breaking his Kingsguard oath to murder the evil king he was sworn to protect and also 3 other people because they were about to nuke the city, deciding that the most reasonable course of action afterwards was to sit on the iron throne and hang out for a bit.
