It’s tragic to me that the video games industry could be unfathomably successful and provide so many jobs if CEOs took a pay cut and executives stopped pushing for multimillion dollar budgeted hyper realistic 400 gameplay-hour 10 year dev cycle games. No devs ever need to be fired for a higher ups mistakes. Devs need to start unionizing or do something else to execs that if I said would probably get me banned.
It’s very clear that the AAA industry is in a death spiral, and as much as I would love to say “this means devs can find success in the indie space!” That just isn’t gonna happen on a large scale because indie companies cannot afford to give jobs to the mass swathes of AAA devs being laid off. And those AAA devs in general do not make enough money to just go found their own studio and take a risk developing a game with no income for years.

It's so sad that I am hearing of Bosnian genocide survivors talk about how they are triggered by the genocide denial happening around gaza. That the rhetoric that is being thrown around in the media and the rationalization for killing thousands and the talk of "let's be careful of what we call genocide. Let's wait before we call it that" is repetitive of what they were hearing when they were living through it
And Holocaust survivors who were protesting in DC and feeling the burden of having to come out and protest another genocide being done in their name except the media has completely sidelined them because it does not fit the narrative.
I have no other words except how terrible this is but it feels comforting in a weird way that genocide survivors are standing with Gaza. Who needs the acknowledgement of governments when you have them
girl help i’m starting over again for the 1000th time & i’m beginning to think that life is a never-ending cycle of starting over & i actually have to make peace with that in order to move forward

Hello world, we're here begging for your help as LGBT refugees in kakuma refugee camp located in the turkana west of kenya, we have been in Kenya for four years of suffering up to now, all bad things happened to us and others lost lives. It's so unfortunate that right now Kenya doesn't want us anymore 💔, recently we had a dialogue with officials and they openly informed us that we're no longer accepted in Kenya and as am talking we're remaining 7 LGBT refugees in kakuma camp, unfortunately we haven't gotten any means of resources to help us relocate 💔 and any time soon they promised to check door to door, so we're all in fear of what may happen next! We need to raise 175,000ksh equivalent to 1,150USD.
For any kind of help here is our donation link, https://www.gofundme.com/f/lgbt-refugees-in-kakuma?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer
Just because an artist likes Harry Potter doesn't mean they support JK Rowling??? Its not their fault you can't separate the art from the artist.
because it's still giving the piece of media a platform. even if you pirate it. even if you disagree with it. I genuinely don't see any good, positive reason that can come from continuing to indulge and participate in the fandom publicly. Like, fine, whatever, if you're gonna read it in the privacy of your own home with nuance and critical thinking, I can't stop you. But posting about it online and engaging with it isn't helpful. It's just giving it more attention. Literally just read another book. I understand nostalgia and childhood hyperfixations and whatnot. But I have such little sympathy for the people that cling so so desperately to the problematic wizard books. There are other things out there! Just find something else!!!
You know what movie I really loved as a kid?? The Don Bluth Thumbelina movie. I rented it from blockbuster week after week after week. I love clowns, and I love frogs, so the fact that there's a frog character dressed as a clown would be totally up my alley, right? Well!!! He's a pretty racist caricature actually!! And the thing is, it's actually really really easy for me, even with my love of clowns and frogs, to actively avoid speaking positively about this character. There will be other frog clowns that aren't racist. I got over it. It's not that hard.

Don't raise your feelings while my family lives with humiliation
It did not arouse your feelings, and my friend asks you to help us in order for us to travel as soon as possible to treat my brother in a clean hospital
