I like when the bus stops directly in front of you out of the line of waiting people and opens its doors. Chosen by the dragon

Emerald Moth (Geometra papilionaria)
last night i dreamt i was gifted a burlap sack containing with all the varietys of sting rays in the world. for some reason i decided to enjoy these sting rays by taking each one of them out while lying in bed. i would hold each one up to my face to look into their eyes. when i held the final one its eyes opened and they were huge and catlike and it started biting my hand and then i realized i forgot to put the second to last one down and it started biting my other hand. finally i shook them off and ran to my computer to google "stingray bites poisonous" and the results were just the words "its fine" really big letters
forever grateful i was simply too lazy to let the make up industrial complex get its hooks in me. I was just like im not doing all of that. im doing none of that in fact
when you go to school for animation you will find that every third person in your classes will say βI want to be a character designer/storyboard artist!β and thereβs no problem with that! except that the vast majority of these people donβt realize they donβt actually want to be character designers or storyboard artists. What they WANT to do is draw pretty ocs and dnd characters over and over and not do anything like draw backgrounds or tell stories or make animate-able designs to meet the needs of the production theyβre on. And this is fine too! Iβm not even saying this to be shady. Iβm saying this because so many people donβt even realize how many jobs there are out there that are adjacent to the animation/illustration industries that would be way more fulfilling for people that just want to draw pretty ocs over and over than character design/storyboarding. Sometimes the answer is being involved in a non-art animation role (like production management) and then drawing your friendsβ dnd characters on the weekends.
Frankly, my recommendation is just to make short films, and if ifβs too overwhelming or you canβt even get enjoyment out of doing character design/storyboarding (or whatever part of the pipeline youβre interested in) on a personal project like that, then you were probably never going to be fulfilled doing it as a job
the great thing about enjoying mystery of the week shows is that when the writing is bad its like oh well. next week might be better! but when a plot driven show has bad writing in an episode its like oh god we're going to have to deal with this forever what if i killed everyone

Some pieces that I like from a cancelled art project, supposed to be a continuation from the old 2022 feudal Vietnam. If you enjoy my personal art, please consider supporting me on patreon ! I'm currently running a new project that is about animal people ( specially, boars ) cavemen, with a twist c: ! Hoggan | Creating arts | Patreon
