This extension lets you doodle on any webpage just like you would doodle on a piece of paper in class to focus. I just added it to my chrome and it’s been a godsend. I watched an 11 minute video on LDAP servers without getting distracted once! I don’t know if other browsers offer this specific app as an extension but I know for sure it’s offered through chrome. I hope this helps other people as much as it’s helped me!

“Substitute beliefs” is an umbrella concept that can be applied to understanding introjects (fictional and real-life), pseudomemories, non-human alters, and more.
It’s important to note that not all substitute beliefs are harmful–they may be comforting, or even feel empowering. You don’t necessarily have to stop being a ghost! That said, it may be worth mentioning in therapy to make sure it’s a healthy belief to engage with.

OCD is one of those mental illnesses that people show support for until they learn about what fucked up intrusive thoughts result from it. I’ve literally seen someone on here put in their byf “don’t follow if you have OCD with [insert intrusive thought here].
A lot of OCD intrusive thoughts are very terrible sexual ones involving the potential to harm loved ones...except these thoughts make YOU suffer, not other people. They aren’t true desires and beliefs; they’re called “intrusive” for a reason.
I’ve literally isolated myself out of fear from my intrusive thoughts, assuming I would hurt someone if I got close. So, it’s disappointing, to say the least, that people will think of you as terrible for what your mental illness already makes you feel terrible.

It's okay to take meds even if it's for a life time. They are trying to compensate for what's lacking. Don't listen to the mean beans that tell you that it's because you are weak and you just want to take the easy way out. LIES! Your brain is having trouble producing the right chemicals so you need some extra help. Think about how people take insulin because their body can't produce enough. It's the same idea folks! They are mad at you for taking something their brain is already producing! Meds aren't the easy way out, there also needs to be other changes in your life to help with your specific type of illness but therapy alone cant talk your chemicals into balancing so you need renewed thoughts and balanced chemicals to truly make progress! It's not an attitude adjustment, it's an adjustment that's needs to be made on the cellular level! Meds don't take all the pain away but it allows you to see a situation more realistically and for you to see more clearly your thoughts and the thoughts of illness so you can make happier choices. It works on the part that your helpless with so you can start learning how to help yourself in the areas you can eventually do something about. I LOVE GOD. I know he does miracles everyday. However, he uses people and the situations in life to answer our prayers. He sent you the doctor and he is giving you the opportunity to take medicine to better your health. He uses ordinary situations in extraordinary ways. Sometimes he doesn't just miraculously make the storms disappear, he wants to walk with us through the storm and take us step by step into healing. May God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit bless you more than you ever thought he would.
