I think this is an Eastern Ringtail. It was found on August 5th, at the Shenandoah River State Park in Virginia. What a neat bug!
I’m so glad the birds at my house stay still long enough for me to get good pictures.
I went outside to look for moths this morning since it's National Moth Week, and I had my camera with me to take pictures. I ended up finding a Barred Owl being yelled by Northern Cardinals and attacked by Blue Jays. I tried to get a picture of the Barred Owl, but the other birds scared it off.
It was so fun, we need to go birding again soon. Oh, wait, we are. What if we went bug watching? It would be so neat. I wonder if bug watching is called bugging?
I’m so glad I got to go birding with my bird friend @teaformybee
Male Northern Cardinal
Why is it that these cardinals always look so shocked when their mouths are open??
Here's an 'extinct' bird, the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. I know they're still out and about...somewhere. Also, I'm going to Oklahoma tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get some neat bird pictures.
