The thing about ADHD is that the "lack of reward chemicals in your brain" doesn't just mean that you don't want to do any tasks that don't feel particularly yummy :(, it means that your brain will look at chores and tasks that need to be done like "doing this would be painful and tedious for absolutely nothing to gain from it, Do Not Do That." The same thing that your brain tells you about everything else that would feel really bad and hurt the entire time that you're dying. The part of your brain that stops you from doing the thing is the same part that keeps you from shoving your arm into a wood chipper.

With unmedicated, unmanaged ADHD, "I have to do this assignment or I fail and my life will be ruined and I die" feels like a SAW trap, every single time.

life is better now that I've been listening to björk for a couple days. I think I had to hate all music for a while to be able to get it, I needed to cleanse my auditory palate. anyway I've been listening to her albums chronologically and my fave so far is "post" especially the songs "army of me" "hyper-ballad" and "it's oh so quiet". I haven't listened to her other albums enough to have fave songs yet except for "declare independence" but that song is fully insane and I would love it in any lifetime. thanks for reading

this. This bit right here where he dries L’s hair off. on the surface, it seems like a nice gesture- something kind, the sort of thing you do just to be nice, and fair, not expecting a reward.

but look:

The only reason Light cared was because L’s hair was dripping water onto his foot. What I take from this scene is that Light only cares to do anything particularly benevolent when it’s directly affecting him, be that L’s hair dripping water on him, or his need to feel like a God. His superiority complex makes him appear kind, but he would have no interest in helping others if it weren’t serving him in some way.

Idk I just think its interesting :))
