I used to come on Internet to connect with people when I couldn't in real life. It was so easy to make up small communities and just randomly talk with people around the world. But now it's all IG/youtube/tiktok. And TikTok is being censored in the US (which is mad). YouTube is feeling very boring and it's very passive when you just watch and don't create anything. IG is becoming just ads ads ads.
And, anyway. I never thought I'd feel lonely on the Internet
JD Vance went to the Marines, then Ohio St, then Yale Law. He was a socio-economic diversity admission. He was DEI.
He was first a Marine, and it transformed his life. The government transformed his life.
I am sure JD used his college education and Law Degree to better his life more than he could imagine.
He met his wife at Yale Law. Do you think JD said professors were the enemy? Usha's parents are professors. Are they the enemy?
When JD was in Silicon Valley, I'm sure he used his schooling pedigree to his advantage.
Now, he code switches to talk to MAGA. He talks in white supremacy narratives.
Education is now bad. Professors are the enemy.
JD thinks he can just forget where he came from and who he is.
I have a very very big exam session in two weeks and I'm so scared to failed đ„ș
âMythos, in Greek,â said Borges, âis not a story that is false. It is a story that is more than true. Myth is a tear in the fabric of reality, and immense energies pour through these holy fissures. Our stories, our poems, are rips in this fabric as well, however slight.â
Jorge Luis Borges, quoted by Jay Parini in Borges and Me
We need Tim Walz energy.
Trump is a buffoon. He governs like a rapist. He thinks it's his government, his military.
It's OUR government. OUR military.
There needs to be pre-emotive and immediate pushback on all Trump actions.
Moet Trump executive orders are illegal. He starts from an illegal position, hoping to get a fraction of his ask.
Get the legal action going immediately.
I remember when I was in middle school, I read a novel about a woman who was a bit fat, a bit neurodivergent and was disliked by her mother. As an adult, she lived completely alone. She was a fan of the Beatles. And I think the subtext was that she was raped when younger and was no longer this virgin she thought herself to be. And for the life of me, I can't remember the title or the author, even though I've wanted to finish this book for the longest time. (I had to take it back to the library)

this website lets you listen to the sounds of all different forests around the worldÂ
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search termsÂ
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
