On the other hand... this boy is going to accidentally destroy so many gloves, I swear. By the end of it it's going to be less 'how did you come back from the dead' and more 'how and why do you keep tearing your gloves at the fingertips?'

for the record, i think he probably can use the ultimate lance/spear/blade/whatever without the gloves, but without the muscle memory he doesn’t really know how. somehow the gloves help.
